Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 746: Chapter 476: Winter, Has Ended (5,500 words)_2

At this moment, Zeng Tao suddenly spoke.

Her eyes were fixed on the interior of the cave, about to step in directly.

Simultaneously, Silver King Mimi and Afu were experiencing the same situation.

”Everyone calm down!” Xu Xin immediately shouted, attempting to grab Zeng Tao. Realizing he couldn’t hold her, he swiftly chopped her on the head.

”Ah...” Zeng Tao instantly snapped out of it.

She naturally wasn’t hurt by the chop, just rubbed the spot Xu Xin hit, somewhat reluctantly glancing into the cave: ”Alright, actually... I feel there’s definitely something good in there.”

”Even if there’s something good, it’s not ours to take right now.”

Xu Xin frowned deeply.

”Whimper!”

Keke’s demeanor was unprecedentedly tense.

He looked down.

Up till now, Keke was still pulling his ankle away from the cave entrance.

”Whimper whimper!”

”Let’s hurry up and leave,” Xu Xin also felt uneasy and immediately insisted.

He glanced at the cave entrance, then abandoned the idea of blocking it.

The entrance was too large to block!

Better to keep away from here for now!

”Are we really leaving...? Alright, alright!” Zeng Tao took another look at the cave, then suddenly said, ”Huh?”

”What’s wrong?” Xu Xin immediately looked into the cave.

With his enhanced vision, he could see the cave clearly but observed no changes.

”Hmm, I think I saw something inside retreating downwards?” Zeng Tao was a bit puzzled, ”Maybe I was mistaken?”

... Whether mistaken or not, staying here wasn’t an option.

Xu Xin took one last look at the cave, resisting the urge to shoot explosives into it, retreated several dozen meters, then turned and walked away.

The group made another circuit around before starting their return journey.

Only then did Xu Xin realize that within several kilometers around the cave, there wasn’t a single red dot on the map!

Considering Zeng Tao and the animals’ earlier sensations...

Could it be that the surrounding mutated creatures and beasts were all drawn into the cave?

Xu Xin glanced at Keke, perched on his shoulder, a big tail drooping over his chest, little head turned toward the cave, continually watching it.

If it weren’t for this little fellow’s vehement prevention, he would have definitely explored in there.

But the little guy’s attitude made him retreat wisely.

Grabbing the little fellow’s big tail, he exhaled slightly.

Perhaps this time the little fellow saved his life again.

”Ah ah, really boring!” Zeng Tao walked while banging the ground with her large knife, complaining, ”I still haven’t tested my new weapon in actual combat! Why aren’t there any beasts around!”

”Alright, isn’t it better that there’s no danger.”

Xu Xin looked up at the sky.

By now, the sun had set completely.

The sky twinkled with stars.

...No moon.

Another moonless night.

Better return to the treehouse quickly.

Xu Xin took one last look in the direction of the cave before mounting the wolf.

”Let’s hurry back.”

”Fine...” Zeng Tao, lacking enthusiasm, let Xu Xin store her in the wristband.

Silver King soon brought him back.

Xu Xin released Zeng Tao, promised to craft her giant blade soon, and pacified her.

Sitting on the sofa, he started checking out the world and alliance channel situation.

”...Hey. District 23 and 5 have allied too.”

Previously, due to restrictions of allying with only one district, District 23 waited for a response from District 188, but after District 188 allied with District 1, these two districts didn’t hesitate and allied with each other directly.

Looking out the window, indeed, there was another large purple-black arch bridging across the horizon, connecting the two distant districts.

The world channel was bustling with activity as well.

”Darn it, it’s dark, and now it’s started snowing again!”

”Oh my god, we’re really going to be buried in snow this time!”

”What’s going on! How did we unlock three Transmission Arrays in one day?”

”I thought today would surely be the end of it...”

”At the last moment, those with the ability to unlock have mostly done so, right...”

”Come on, pros, push a bit more... I’m freezing to death...”

”The treehouse is way too cold! The fireplace barely keeps the surrounding area at normal temperature... I’m sleeping by the fireplace tonight...”

”Sleeping by the fireplace, won’t you get carbon monoxide poisoning?”

”Better than freezing to death!”

”Hm, even though it’s not snowing in our district, it’s still cold as hell... When will this winter end?”

”It looks like several people have already frozen to death in our district... Hope I’m not next...”

Currently, 28 out of 30 arrays have been unlocked, leaving only two.

But the status of these two remains unknown.

Wondering how Jin Yue is doing, considering it’s already dark.

Meanwhile, on the alliance channel, a different matter was being discussed.

”Our District 1 lost over a dozen people again today!”

”What exactly is happening here!”

”I’ve told you all not to go outside, just stay inside the treehouse until this winter passes. That’s advice from our explorer experts. Look at us in District 188, no one has been lost, right?”
