Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 748: Chapter 477: New Reward - Coal Boss! (5400 words)

The winter, is over!

[The Xue Feng climbing activity has ended, rewards are being distributed, survivors on the leaderboard, please collect your rewards at the treehouse screen.]

[A final reminder, although winter is over, tonight’s blizzard will not stop, the snow accumulation will still have many impacts.]

[To the survivors struggling through the harsh cold, endure this night and you will usher in a new life!]

The mysterious voice was brief and ended like that.

Hearing the last words of the mysterious voice, Xu Xin couldn’t help but laugh sarcastically.

A new life?

It always seems to say that.

But every time, it turns out to be even more dangerous than before.

In the previous first stage, although the activity was mandatory, as long as you returned to the treehouse, you could basically ensure safety, and even each time the activity ended, there would be a few days of complete safe rest.

But now, in this second stage of winter, even the treehouse cannot completely guarantee everyone’s safety anymore.

Of course, their treehouses in Zone 188 are still safe, after all, their defense equipment is quite complete.

Xu Xin swiped his watch and opened the leaderboard of the Xue Feng climbing activity.

The number of people on the leaderboard was fixed at 102.

Besides the 90 people who activated the thirty formations, there were also 12 individuals who climbed Xue Feng on their own but couldn’t activate the formations in the end.

But they can all still claim rewards.

Xu Xin’s name was at the top, in the most conspicuous position.

He directly clicked on the button to claim the reward next to his name.

[Reward received: Treehouse upgrade enhancement.]

[The treehouse will undergo a 12-hour growth enhancement, during which its protection ability will slightly decrease.]

[After 12 hours, the treehouse will acquire a new ability: Constant Temperature.]

[Constant Temperature: The treehouse’s wall insulation will greatly improve, significantly reducing the impact of external temperature on the internal temperature of the treehouse. Even in extreme weather, it can stably maintain the internal temperature with minimal consumption.]

[With the Constant Temperature ability, the treehouse will be warm in winter and cool in summer, becoming your most comfortable home!]

Constant Temperature, huh?

Xu Xin’s eyes slightly lit up.

This reward is pretty good!

This ability, to be honest, before today, Xu Xin thought it was somewhat pointless.

After all, he had the treehouse fireplace to resist the cold, and the nitrate provided by Li Wenxi allowed him to enjoy coolness even in summer, the constant temperature wasn’t that important.

But thinking of today’s experiences in other regions, those treehouses about to be buried in snow, even with a treehouse fireplace, it didn’t help, the internal temperature of the treehouse had already dropped to a very low level.

Some people in the outer zones didn’t even have snow gear, were unable to withstand the low temperatures, and many had frozen to death inside their own treehouses!

With this Constant Temperature ability, he won’t need to worry about temperature problems in the future!

Not bad.

If such extreme weather occurs again, his treehouse won’t be afraid!

At this moment, the world channel became chaotic again.

”It’s over! It’s over! The winter season is finally over!”

”Over? How is it over! There’s still one night left!”

”No... why! Why is it still snowing tonight even though winter is over!”

”Crazy, crazy, now the treehouse is really going to be buried...”

”I’m going to freeze to death, I’m really going to freeze to death!”

”Why didn’t this winter end before the snow started! Then maybe we wouldn’t face this blizzard! It’s bigger than yesterday’s snow!”

”Come on, it’s just one night, even if most of the treehouse feels cold, it’s never too cold near the fireplace, right? Can’t you sleep near the fireplace?”

”I’ve already moved the bed to the fireplace, but it’s still cold there! This fireplace is like a fake!”

”At least it’s somewhat useful... it’s not like other places, where it’s already below freezing... the water I placed in the kitchen for drinking has frozen...”

”But... near the fireplace... it’s probably close to zero below, right?”

”Don’t you guys have snow clothes? The ones you can exchange in the points store, that can resist temperatures down to minus 15 degrees, don’t you have them?”

”Oh hey, I do, with snow clothes I sleep soundly, lying in bed laughing while watching them sulk.”

”Not enough points to buy... I’m crying... this winter didn’t give us any chance to earn points!”

”Everyone, don’t sleep tonight, really don’t sleep! It’s best to get moving, otherwise, you might not wake up tomorrow! The temperature is like this now but the blizzard continues! The temperature will only drop further!”

”Yeah! The blizzard will last the whole night!”

”It’s over, completely over...”

”I want to start a fire on the treehouse floor...”

”Are you crazy! Do you want the treehouse to burn!”

”I made a fire on the workbench and it didn’t help, unless you’re extremely close to the flames, you can’t feel the warmth... it really seems like they just want to freeze us to death!”

”Finished... my fingers have already frozen stiff...”

”Please...! Big shots from Zone 188! Big shots from Zone 1 and 23! Help us! We don’t want to freeze to death!”

”Oh my, only a few minutes have passed and the snow layer outside has already risen so much!”

”Brothers and sisters, if we can endure this night, we will usher in a new life! Everyone, put on a few more layers, get moving!”

The world channel is now mostly filled with complaints and suggestions from survivors in regions where the blizzard hasn’t stopped.
