Berserk God of War

Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Institute Master, Huo Yanmei

Their mouths agape, several instructors looked at each other, their eyes filled with shock.

It was too impressive, they of course could see clearly the slashing through the clouds by Sikong Jing just now—fast, ruthless, and cunning. If Sikong Jing had been cutting not clothes but the flesh and blood of a dozen students...

Then, it would have been the bodies of those students that lay in shreds.

Furthermore, the little apprentice’s sword technique greatly resembled something, a demon beast... the Scythe Cloud Dragon.

They had guessed correctly; this was indeed the Beast Skill created from the inner core Sikong Jing had acquired at the auction: the Cloud Leaping Saber Technique.

And this was also a Beast Skill that had not yet been turned in for points.

”Since I cannot meet with the Fire Dragon Mountain Master, then I shall pay a visit to Cloud Dragon Mountain, farewell.”

Seeing that the instructors were too shocked to speak, Sikong Jing smiled casually and began to step toward the direction of Fire Dragon Mountain Road.

One moment, two moments, three moments...

”Wait a moment, I will take you to the Institute Master right now,” suddenly, the middle-aged female instructor called out.

The other instructors trembled slightly, saying, ”Master Shi, the Institute Master is in seclusion, and he said no one should disturb him for any reason!”

The middle-aged female instructor, surnamed Shi, with a glint in her eyes, responded, ”I will bear all consequences.”

After saying this, she stared intently at Sikong Jing, ”Please, come with me...”

Sikong Jing turned back with a smile and then glanced at Senior Brother Lang Yisuo, who was still immersed in the gains from the fourth mountain path. He gently released a wave of True Qi to quickly bring the latter back to his senses, breaking his state of cultivation.

Then, Sikong Jing whispered, ”Senior Brother Lang, I am about to meet the Fire Dragon Mountain Master. Find a way to delay the instructors and don’t let them leave this place. It’s very important.”

Lang Yisuo was shocked, and then watched as Sikong Jing followed the middle-aged Master Shi away.

He stood there dumbfounded.

And looked around bewilderingly at the collapsed Golden Dragon Mountain students, still not understanding what had happened...

Could it be that Junior Brother Sikong did this just now?

Had he been so absorbed in cultivation that Junior Brother Sikong had knocked out all the Fire Dragon Mountain students?

And after doing so, he was going to meet the Fire Dragon Mountain Master, but why?

As Lang Yisuo’s mind swirled with confusion, several instructors who had stayed behind quickly circled around him.

An instructor fixed his gaze on him and asked, ”Golden Dragon Mountain student, you came with that heaven-defying little apprentice, right? Can you tell us who he is, where he came from?”

The instructors’ eyes burned with curiosity as they stared at Lang Yisuo, ignoring the students sprawled on the ground.

They really wanted to know who this heaven-defying little apprentice was.

In that moment, the instructions Sikong Jing left when he departed flashed through Lang Yisuo’s mind—find a way to keep these instructors here at all costs.

Although he didn’t know what Sikong Jing was planning to do, Lang Yisuo had to follow through...

But how was he supposed to keep them there?

After some thought, Lang Yisuo clenched his teeth and replied, ”Him... Well, let’s find a place to sit down first. I’ll tell you all about it over a few drinks of good liquor.”

Lang Yisuo, realizing that these instructors didn’t recognize him, led them to a stone table and benches nearby and sat down. Then he suddenly brought out a jar of centuries-old fine liquor and tossed a pile of rich gifts onto the stone table.

”Instructors, please enjoy. Let’s talk slowly about that little apprentice.”

At this point, the instructors were struck dumb; they recognized the liquor as the Open Source Divine Brew worth over a hundred Ming King Crystals, and the items on the table were probably worth hundreds of Ming King Crystals in total.

Behind the heaven-defying little apprentice, with the affluent Golden Dragon Mountain student inviting them for a chat, the instructors were a bit stunned.

Gulp...

In any case, they couldn’t resist swallowing their saliva and sat down, forgetting themselves.

Then, Lang Yisuo began to blather on, while incessantly urging the instructors to drink more. As he spoke, the instructors began to get drunk, quickly forgetting the nonsense Lang Yisuo was saying.

Senior Brother Lang Yisuo sneered inwardly. Although I sometimes feel quite inferior, I’m extremely confident when it comes to money.

I don’t believe I can’t get you drunk...

...

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing followed the middle-aged Master Shi as they proceeded, passing through the outer academy of Fire Dragon Mountain.

This was where ordinary students practiced and studied. Next, they walked along a long mountain path, arriving at the inner academy.

However, Master Shi did not lead him into the inner academy.

Instead, they circled around to the back and arrived at a small hill covered with blossoms. During this time, they didn’t encounter anyone.

Through Master Shi’s introduction, he learned that the Fire Dragon Mountain Master was fond of flowers, so she resided in this Little Flower Mountain. Amidst the flowers was an elegant and peaceful courtyard, but at that moment, its gates were tightly closed, with a small formation set up around it.

Upon reaching the gates, Master Shi called out loudly, ”Institute Master, I have an important matter and request an audience.”

Spurt...

No sooner had his voice faded than a sound of coughing up blood came from inside the courtyard.

After a while, a hoarse female voice finally rose from inside, ”Master Shi, what is it?”

Clearly, the Fire Dragon Mountain Master’s cultivation had been disrupted by Master Shi’s voice, and she even suffered backlash and injury.

Instantly, Master Shi’s complexion turned extremely unsightly, filled with fear and nervousness.

If the Institute Master were to fall ill because of this, she could hardly shirk responsibility, but with things having come this far, she could only grit her teeth and speak.

”Institute Master, an apprentice suddenly ascended our Fire Dragon Mountain and, with the strength of the Peak of Martial Sect Realm, defeated hundreds of our outer academy’s students, with even those of the Second Realm of Xuantian unable to withstand three moves from him.”

”He insists on seeing you, wanting to know if you can persuade him to join Fire Dragon Mountain.”

Upon hearing this, there was no response from inside the courtyard, silent as death.

Master Shi shivered slightly all over, the more she thought about it, the more frightened she became. Was the Institute Master angry? Was this matter too trivial to disturb her with?

Creak...

Suddenly, the gates of the courtyard opened, and an elderly woman walked out.

Her face bore many wrinkles, suggesting she might be in her sixties or seventies, dressed in a fiery red robe exuding an air of dignified opulence, but her face was somewhat pale.

Her eyes were as deep as the starry sky, conveying the impression of having weathered many hardships.

She was the Fire Dragon Mountain Master, Huo Yanmei.

Upon seeing her, Master Shi quickly said, ”I’m sorry, Institute Master, for disturbing you...”

”But this apprentice said that if he does not see you, he will head straight to Cloud Dragon Mountain. I believe he has the qualifications for you to come out of seclusion.”

After finishing, she looked towards Sikong Jing at her side, not sure if he would remain as aggressive as before after seeing the Institute Master.

Although the Institute Master was usually good-tempered, she was not too fond of excessively arrogant people...

I hope he can win over the Institute Master.

Institute Master Huo Yanmei, upon hearing this, turned her gaze onto Sikong Jing. Then, a strand of her consciousness lightly wrapped around him, her profound eyes flashing with a chill as she finally asked, ”Were you sent by Xingluo Palace?”

As soon as these words were uttered, Master Shi’s body trembled violently, her expression one of shock.

A terrifying thought occurred to her.

A few days ago, after returning from the grand battle between the two palaces, the Institute Master announced that she would be going into seclusion immediately.

Now, it seemed likely that she had sustained a very serious injury.

And this little apprentice might well have been sent by Xingluo Palace to disturb the Institute Master, because they knew of the Institute Master’s grievous injury.

It was over. If that was the case, she bore a heavy sin!
