Berserk God of War

Chapter 390: Chapter 390: Sikong Jing, You’re Not Dead?

Upon hearing the words, Yisuo Lang’s expression shifted slightly, and he hurriedly called out.

”That won’t do, Brother Sikong. I’m already in such a dire state, and if you return to the Holy Dragon Palace, Lei Zizhen will definitely not let you off.”

He wasn’t here to find Sikong Jing to bring him back; he just wanted to inquire about any news of Su Yuexi and thought to stay in 66th Town for a while for some peace.

But he hadn’t expected that Sikong Jing had safely returned.

”It’s fine, I want to see how Lei Zizhen won’t let me off.”

A faint murderous intent flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes.

Back at Wanbao Pavilion, Lei Zizhen had even attempted to pursue and kill Su Yuexi and Ning Jingjing; Sikong Jing had no intention of letting him off either... Qin Heng had already returned, and even with severe injuries, Lei Zizhen couldn’t dominate with just one hand.

Having said that, Sikong Jing didn’t care how worried Yisuo Lang was, and he promptly took him and headed straight for the Holy Dragon Palace.

Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, Apprentice School Region.

When Sikong Jing and Yisuo Lang appeared, they found the place was not as bustling as before.

Nearly three months had passed since the entrance martial test, and many apprentices who failed to complete the monthly routine tasks had no choice but to leave.

Sikong Jing’s first thought was to find Master Wen Hu.

However, after asking other instructors, he learned that Wen Hu had gone to Golden Dragon Mountain to care for the severely injured Qin Heng.

Therefore, Sikong Jing could only head to the Task Hall to see if Yu Yan was there.

”What are you doing? Our Da He Association is covered by Senior Brother Lang Yisuo.”

Just as Sikong Jing and Yisuo Lang were on their way to the Task Hall, a familiar voice came from a distance.

It was, in fact, Xu He from the Da He Association.

Sikong Jing’s gaze sharpened, noticing that in the territory of the Da He Association, the crowd was dense, seemingly caught in some incident.

And since Xu He mentioned Yisuo Lang, Sikong Jing couldn’t help but look at the latter.

Yisuo Lang responded blankly, ”I’ve been in touch with the Da He Association in the Apprentice School Region during this time; they might have been implicated because of me.”

He had once stayed in Sikong Jing’s apprentice room and had contact with people from the Da He Association.

At that moment, another sullen voice rang out.

”You’re talking about Yisuo Lang? That fool can’t even protect himself now, and you think he’ll cover you?”

Subsequently, several more voices joined in.

”Xu He, I wouldn’t be so angry if you didn’t bring him up, but now that you did, it infuriates me. My clan’s junior is a student at Golden Dragon Mountain. Yisuo Lang is so rich and yet wouldn’t lend a single penny to my junior.”

”Not just that, I’ve heard he’s the second young master of Wanbao Pavilion, yet he’s a powerless good-for-nothing, and he even caused Brother Lei Zizhen from Lei family to have an arm chopped off by Xingluo Palace, a total selfish jerk and a misfortune-bringer.”

”We only wanted to teach you a lesson at first, but since you brought up Yisuo Lang, we can’t be polite anymore.”

With these words, Yisuo Lang’s face turned both pale and green.

Seeing his name had no effect, Xu He couldn’t help but shout again, ”We, we are also covered by Sister Baili Que.”

Even though the Da He Association had little to do with Baili Que.

But now that they were being besieged by hundreds of apprentices, they had no choice but to shout out her name, especially since Baili Que from Dark Dragon Mountain Chief had given Lei Zizhen a severe slap last time because of Sikong Jing.

In any case, they thought to bluff their way out of the situation first and deal with the rest later.

Unfortunately, that name wasn’t of any use either, and another voice spoke up, ”Baili Que? Didn’t you know she’s about to die?”

At those words, a chill flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes.

Baili Que... About to die?

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing suddenly quickened his pace and charged towards where Xu He and the others were, just to see the territory of the Da He Association surrounded by hundreds upon hundreds of people, all dressed as Holy Dragon Palace apprentices.

The Da He Association, on the other hand, only had about a hundred people, all dirtied and haggard, with Xu He and Ge Rong at the forefront, helplessly encircled in the middle.

At this moment, Ge Rong couldn’t help but shout out indignantly, ”What wrong has the Da He Association done? How have we offended you? Why do several apprentice clubs suddenly join hands to attack us?”

Up to now, they still didn’t understand why the largest clubs in the Apprentice School Region had to band together to attack them.

The hundreds of people present were all figures who strutted about in the Apprentice School Region.

”Oh? You still don’t know what you did wrong?”

Sikong Jing saw a man at the forefront among these hundreds of apprentices who was snickering continuously, ”Now I’ll tell you. It’s because the Da He Association accepted an apprentice named Sikong Jing, and Brother Lei Zizhen wants him dead.”

”Of course, he should be dead by now... but who told him he was once part of your Da He Association?”

”So you’ll just have to be unlucky along with him,” he said.

With that, the leading man shouted fiercely, ”Attack! Beat down everyone from the Da He Association and then throw them all out of the Holy Dragon Palace. Brother Lei says he gets annoyed just seeing them.”

In an instant, hundreds of apprentices with ferocious faces strode forward, pressing on.

Sikong Jing’s eyes flared with cold light because Lei Zizhen, unable to find him for revenge, decided to vent his anger on the Da He Association instead.

He even wanted to expel them from the Holy Dragon Palace and extinguish their Martial Arts hopes—what kind of reasoning was that?

On this side, Xu He, leading over a hundred Da He apprentices, shouted again, ”You bastards, Lei Zizhen can’t find Junior Brother Sikong and takes it out on us. I’m going to report this to the instructors.”

”Haha... Institute Master Lei Hongteng said, even if an instructor dares to meddle in Brother Lei’s affairs, they too will be kicked out of the Holy Dragon Palace.”

The crowd laughed loudly as they charged toward Xu He and the others.

However, just as the people of Da He were shouting and ready to fight to the death... Boom!

A terrifying fist’s aura suddenly descended from the sky, smashing viciously into the middle of those attacking the Da He Association.

Immediately, dozens of apprentices screamed as they were blown away.

The leading man, who was relatively strong, managed to stay put and roared, ”Who’s there, daring to meddle in our business?”

Thump, thump...

The heavy footsteps resounded as Sikong Jing, along with Lang Yisuo, stepped forward.

His icy aura of murder enveloped the people around him; he walked without a word, slowly approaching Xu He and the others.

In an instant, Xu He and Ge Rong both widened their eyes, unable to help but cry out, ”Junior Brother Sikong, you... you’re not dead!”

At these words, the entirety of the Da He Association members shivered.

So this was Sikong Jing, the apprentice who had recently joined their Da He Association, the very apprentice who was incredibly good at causing trouble.

But wasn’t he supposedly chased by the people of the Xingluo Palace and killed in the Minglong Mountain Range?

”What? Are you Sikong Jing?”

At the same time, the shocked man at the forefront stared at Sikong Jing and asked, ”You... you’re actually not dead?”

Sikong Jing paid him no heed and instead turned to Xu He, replying, ”I was lucky and made it back alive.”

Through Lang Yisuo’s account, Sikong Jing had learned everything.

Both the Xingluo Palace and the Holy Dragon Palace had discovered that Bai Liuhun and others from the Xingluo Palace chased him all the way to the Minglong Mountain Range, only to run into the human-shaped demon beast that wrought havoc in Long Night Imperial City!

In the end, whether it was Sikong Jing or the people from the Xingluo Palace, they all perished at the hands of the terrifying human-shaped monster.

To this matter, the senior echelons of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace did not care when they returned; it was just the death of a lowly apprentice, after all.

As for how the upper ranks of Xingluo Palace handled it upon their return, it wasn’t something they could know at the moment.

After all, the seniors had only returned for a few days and there were far too many matters to tend to.

In short, if even Bai Liuhun and eighty Xingluo Palace students died, how could Sikong Jing, the one being chased, possibly survive?

Yet now, here he was, alive and well, causing everyone present to disbelief.
