Berserk God of War

Chapter 382: Chapter 382: Reinforcements Have Arrived, Reinforcements Have Turned

They held absolute confidence in themselves; they were formerly Black-armored Soldiers of the 66th Army, superior to those promoted from the 99th and 96th Army, fearless in the face of this battle.

Yet, Ning Jingjing and her eighty thousand trusted warriors sneered arrogantly, shouting in unison, ”Dark Wings, Black Burning Sword!”

Boom!

The eighty thousand warriors struck with their swords simultaneously, and black flames soared into the sky.

They had already mastered the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword.

Having witnessed Sikong Jing’s recent demonstration of the New Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, all had made progress to a greater or lesser degree. While they may not have had Su Zhenglong’s terrifying Martial Vein gift, the swords in their hands were now even more powerful than before.

And it wasn’t just by a single step; those with greater talent had even advanced by several steps.

With the strongest dark glow in her sword, Ning Jingjing, possessing the highest talent, pointed her long sword and commanded, ”Blast them away, leave none alive.”

”Kill them!”

Under Ning Jingjing’s lead, the eighty thousand trusted warriors charged forth like a black river rushing towards the enemy.

On the other side, Zhang Zhun and the rest had started out full of confidence.

But as they sensed the momentum from the other side, they became instantly bewildered, struggling to breathe under the pressure, and upon contact, they realized their mistake in their prideful, unwavering confidence.

It was a gross error; they weren’t stronger just because they were originally from the 66th Army...

Under the collective assault of Ning Jingjing’s New Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, they started to panic. At first, they could resist, but soon a breach opened in their ranks.

It became a rout.

Ning Jingjing’s eighty thousand warriors overwhelmingly pushed back the one hundred and twenty thousand men, who felt powerless.

”Adviser Zhang, why are they so strong? We can’t hold on,” cried out the head Deputy General, confused and seeking aid from Zhang Zhun.

Zhang Zhun too watched the battle incredulously; this was nothing like what he had anticipated.

Eventually, he could only roar, ”Don’t panic; we’ll fight and retreat, then signal the New 99th Legion.”

”We have more men; we will not be defeated.”

With Zhang Zhun’s words, they all trembled immensely, knowing that with the support of another thirty thousand men, they would surely counterattack and win.

Thus, they fought while retreating...

On the Martial Arts Discussion Platform, Su Zhenglong, Su Yue Immortal, Sui Yu, and other newly promoted Black-armored Soldiers joined the fray.

As for Sikong Jing, he nonchalantly returned to Su Yuexi’s side.

Speaking to the families gathered to watch, he said, ”Let’s go, we’ll watch the play from atop the city wall.”

Su Yuexi nodded slightly, stars twinkling in her eyes as she clung to Sikong Jing’s arm, leading the families up onto the city walls. They were there to witness Zhang Zhun and his forces being driven from the 66th Castle.

Before long, Zhang Zhun and his one hundred and twenty thousand men were truly pressed out of the 66th Castle...

Seeing this, Sui Wenzhan, Sui Yu’s father, asked with confusion, ”Divine Commander Sikong, it seems Zhang Zhun’s side has not yet collapsed; they are retreating in an orderly fashion. Could they have a contingency plan?”

To this, the families quickly looked towards Sikong Jing, somewhat anxious.

”Right, they have arranged thirty thousand men outside the castle, look... the New 99th Legion is coming,” Sikong Jing pointed as he spoke, observing a cloud of dust and the sound of galloping hooves approaching from the direction of the woods near the castle.

Leading them was General Fei!

Instantly, Mei Xiaofang’s complexion turned somewhat pale as she said, ”Ajing, if these thirty thousand men join in, Zhang Zhun will have one hundred and fifty thousand...”

Upon hearing this, the families grew tense once more.

”Don’t worry, these thirty thousand will join us,” Sikong Jing said with a faint smile.

Just then, he received a meaningful glance from General Fei, the look they had agreed upon earlier to collaborate in Sikong Jing’s plan.

”Ah?” the families expressed, puzzled and perplexed.

After a moment’s thought, Sikong Jing still decided to reassure them with a smile, ”The New 99th Legion is not foolish. Seeing how formidable General Ning is, they will surely defect on the spot. Victory is ours.”

It’s still the same, Sikong Jing didn’t want to steal the spotlight, so he wouldn’t say that he had already conquered General Fei.

The family members felt it was somewhat unlikely, but they still hurriedly continued to watch.

At this moment, Zhang Zhun’s sinister voice sounded.

”Ning Jingjing, do you think you’ve won?”

”No, you’re destined to lose, and today, no matter how much you resist, it’s useless.”

”See that? That’s General Fei from the New 99th Legion, he will lead thirty thousand men to breach the 66th Army.”

”You, Ning Jingjing, will also become the greatest disgrace in the history of the Long Night Black Burning Army!”

As Zhang Zhun’s voice fell, Ning Jingjing’s face violently changed.

Zhang Zhun, too cruel!

He wasn’t content with just rebelling against her using Su Zhenglong as an excuse, with his forces of a hundred and twenty thousand, he had actually set an even more sinister trap.

Zhang Zhun also wanted the New 99th Legion to historically defeat her own 66th Army.

If he succeeded, she would never be able to hold her head high within the Long Night Black Burning Army again.

Keep in mind, at that time Zhang Zhun would definitely not say that he defeated her by rebelling; he would only tell the outside world that the 99th Army’s thirty thousand had defeated her two hundred thousand, which would be an enormous disgrace.

And with the current situation, her eighty thousand could only slightly suppress the enemy; if another thirty thousand were added, the trouble would be great.

All at once, Ning Jingjing’s resolve also began to waver.

”Hahaha, Adviser Zhang, I’m here!”

Just as Ning Jingjing’s face turned ashen, General Fei charged over with his thirty thousand soldiers.

In an instant, they joined with Zhang Zhun’s hundred and twenty thousand.

”General Fei, your arrival is perfect, the next moment will be your crowning glory.”

”You will become the first in the history of the Long Night Black Burning Army for the 99th Army to breach the 66th Army.”

Zhang Zhun laughed heartily, having felt incredibly stifled a moment ago, but he was still sure to win.

All hundred and twenty thousand men laughed as well, as the counterattack officially began.

And so, everyone welcomed General Fei’s arrival, enveloping him within the ranks of a hundred and twenty thousand, each with their morale sky-high.

Zhang Zhun quickly crowded over and, looking down from above, said, ”General Fei, now it’s your turn to perform.”

General Fei nodded slightly, then his face suddenly changed dramatically, and he lashed out with a powerful slap...

Smack!

Caught off guard, Zhang Zhun’s smiling face was distorted by the blow, and he was sent flying from his horse, crashing to the ground. Clutching his face in disbelief, he cried, ”General Fei, have you gone mad?”

The deputy generals, who had been laughing merrily, were dumbfounded, all staring at General Fei in disbelief.

At the city gates, Ning Jingjing and others, ready to fight a desperate battle, were likewise stunned. What was General Fei doing?

Wasn’t he one of Zhang Zhun’s men? Why did he suddenly hit Zhang Zhun?

”Zhang Zhun, are you guys really that incompetent?”

”Still an adviser? What a load of crap!”

”With all your hundred and twenty thousand, you’ve been driven out of the 66th Castle by General Ning, I, Fei Chian, have no respect for you...”

”Now, I declare my alliance with General Ning, and together, we’ll wipe you out!”

General Fei, originally named Fei Chian, once he finished speaking, turned to his thirty thousand warriors and commanded, ”All troops, take down Zhang Zhun!”

”Yes, General Fei... Charge!”

The thirty thousand men responded in unison, knowing even before they came to reinforce that Fei Chian had planned to turn on Zhang Zhun, prepared for battle they charged, ambushing the hundred and twenty thousand...

The scene suddenly descended into extreme chaos.

Meanwhile, Fei Chian saluted Ning Jingjing deeply and said, ”General Ning, let’s join forces to take down Zhang Zhun!”
