Chapter 388: Chapter 388: Dark Wing Camp, First Commander

”In the second tier, I think the Beigong Commander can select elite troops for Cultivation, and form an invincible and mighty force.”

”As for the third tier, the Commander should have his own plans.”

At this point, Sikong Jing’s eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke earnestly, ”I suppose the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword wouldn’t be much inferior to a human-shaped demon beast making a move once? It can also be developed long-term.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing then sat down cross-legged, took out three blank Green Jade Tubes, and immediately began engraving the three tiers of the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword on the spot.

Meanwhile, the Beigong Xianfeng stood there, stunned, waiting for Sikong Jing to finish engraving, his mind filled with indescribable thoughts.

An hour later, Sikong Jing had finished the engraving and handed the Green Jade Tubes over to the Beigong Xianfeng...

Upon receiving them, the latter probed the tubes with his consciousness and his body shook slightly, a fierce light flashing in his eyes.

He too could feel the terrifying Martial Intent contained within the Green Jade Tubes engraved by Sikong Jing.

These were items that could allow one to break through in Martial Arts Realm, and moreover, they were direct and domineering, even benefiting himself as well.

Staring blankly at Sikong Jing, the Beigong Xianfeng suddenly became serious and said in a deep voice, ”Brother Sikong, I now formally invite you to join the Long Night Black Burning Army.”

Sikong Jing looked up sharply, his brow furrowing.

Joining the Long Night Black Burning Army meant a lack of freedom, which was the reason he had refused the Beigong Xianfeng before.

But with the Wangyou Sect and his sister Sikong Ling’s affairs, he needed a strong backing.

It was uncertain when the Wangyou Sect might discover the truth, so joining the Long Night Black Burning Army indeed seemed like a good choice.

The Long Night Saint Dragon Palace was merely an Academy, and in comparison to the Wangyou Sect, it was indeed just a scattered pile of sand.

Seeing Sikong Jing’s hesitation, the Beigong Xianfeng spoke again, ”I’ve thought it over a lot, the first tier of the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword I will promote throughout the entire Black Burning Army, but the second and third tiers will be kept secret...”

”I want to secretly form the Dark Wing Camp, and you will be its first Commander.”

At those words, Sikong Jing’s entire body shook again, and the Beigong Xianfeng continued...

”Ning Jingjing will hold a dual position, outwardly a General of the 66th Army, but in secret, the Deputy Commander of the Dark Wing Camp.”

”All daily activities of the Dark Wing Camp will be managed by Ning Jingjing, while you can come and go freely, except in times of war, I shall not summon you, and your identity will also be concealed.”

”Apart from myself, Ning Jingjing, and other core figures, there’s no need for anyone else to know.”

Towards the end, the Beigong Xianfeng added, ”I will craft a mask for you, one that belongs to the Commander of the Dark Wing Camp.”

When he finished speaking, the Beigong Xianfeng once again looked intently at Sikong Jing.

After a few breaths, Sikong Jing slowly clenched his fist and said, ”Then I shall... respectfully comply.”

Sikong Jing agreed, as the conditions offered by the Beigong Xianfeng were too generous, and most importantly, allowed for a high degree of freedom.

It perfectly suited his current situation.

”Haha, excellent, excellent,” laughed the Beigong Xianfeng heartily, his old eyes shining brightly.

He then patted Sikong Jing on the shoulder and added, ”Increase your realm as soon as possible, otherwise, being at the Peak of the Martial Arts Sect Realm might not convince the masses.”

The Martial Arts Realm of Sikong Jing was the only thing the Beigong Xianfeng was slightly worried about at the moment.

As the first Commander of the Dark Wing Camp, being at the Peak of the Martial Arts Sect Realm was too weak.

Sikong Jing smiled and replied, ”In a couple of days, I should be able to officially enter the Xuantian First Realm, Commander rest assured.”

Stunned, the Beigong Xianfeng was certain that Sikong Jing was definitely not a mere Spirit Martial Root.

This time they had struck gold.

More importantly, no matter how much a human-shaped monster might become Demonized or lose its clarity of mind, it still listened to Sikong Jing... As long as the latter joined the Long Night Black Burning Army, they would indirectly subdue this Great Demon King capable of suppressing demon beasts.

And so, the negotiations were concluded, and the Beigong Xianfeng patted the steed beneath him and returned to the 66th Castle.

Meanwhile, in the woods outside the 66th Castle.

Zhang Han and Zhang Zhun, among others, welcomed several Vice Commanders, including Cao Yi.

After the Vice Commanders were briefed on the event’s origins and developments, they immediately had Ning Jingjing summon all the Black-armored Soldiers to demonstrate the New Sword Technique, and upon completion of the demonstration, the Vice Commanders’ faces gradually turned red...

Vice Commander Cao Yi, in particular, was trembling all over.

Seeing the reaction of the Vice Commanders, Zhang Han immediately said, ”Vice Commanders, do you think the Commander has gone senile? To say that this New Sword Technique is good, isn’t this undermining the foundation of our Long Night Black Burning Army?”

Zhang Zhun also hastily exclaimed, ”Vice Commanders, please stand up for me when the Beigong Commander returns.”

Finishing his ominous statement, he couldn’t believe that the Vice Commanders would also be confused.

At this moment, the Vice Commanders looked at each other in dismay.

Cao Yi was the first to approach Zhang Han, ”Chief Strategist Zhang, you might have to retire and return to your hometown.”

In an instant, Zhang Han was stunned, what does that mean?

The second Vice Commander walked over and said with a bitter smile, ”Retiring and returning home might be the best outcome... Zhang Zhun is your clan member, if he really did take bribes from the Ning Family, it would be best if you sorted out his affairs before you return home.”

The third Vice Commander said gravely, ”Chief Strategist Zhang, as a colleague, let’s keep in touch when you’re free.”

Then came the fourth Vice Commander, ”Wait for the Commander to return, and deal with your kin right away, otherwise, you’ll be the next Yan Shun.”

With his mouth gaping, Zhang Han was completely dumbfounded, what... what does this mean?

However, as the Chief Strategist, he quickly figured it out.

The new Sword Technique must be extraordinary; otherwise, all four Vice Commanders wouldn’t be on the same side advising him, his old face kept changing expressions until a long cry echoed...

Sikong Jing and Beigong Xianfeng returned, chatting and laughing together.

By this time, Zhang Zhun was also in a state of panic, finally understanding the crux of the matter.

”Uncle Han, save me.”

With these words, Zhang Han gave him a cold look and then kicked him fiercely.

Help you? You’ve ruined me, goddammit.

Then, Zhang Han rushed over to Beigong Xianfeng and said, ”Commander, I have investigated thoroughly. Zhang Zhun did indeed take bribes from the Ning Family, he was deliberately making things difficult for General Ning Jingjing.”

Beigong Xianfeng, who would not be unaware of why Zhang Han had suddenly changed his stance, surely was tipped off by the Vice Commanders.

With a cold snort, Beigong Xianfeng feigned ignorance, ”Is that so?”

”Yes, the Ning Family wants General Ning to obediently go home, they even want her to return home in disgrace, which involves matters related to the Qian Family,” said Zhang Han, clarifying the situation entirely.

Beigong Xianfeng had already investigated the massacre of the Qian Family, the same people who had kidnapped individuals from the Canglong Small Domain.

It was no trivial matter for Sikong Jing...

After listening to Zhang Han’s words, Beigong Xianfeng’s face darkened, ”I never expected that after Yan Shun, there would be another Zhang Zhun...”

”Zhang Han, it was you who recommended him to the 66th Army, wasn’t it? What punishment do you deserve?”

Thump...

Zhang Han knelt down immediately, hastily claiming his ignorance, that he had been deceived by Zhang Zhun all along.

Ultimately, he directly tendered his resignation to Beigong Xianfeng, acknowledging that recommending Zhang Zhun was his responsibility, no matter what.

Beigong Xianfeng did not hesitate to accept his resignation, and then turned to look at Zhang Zhun, ”Imprison Zhang Zhun and select a date for his execution!”

Buzz!

Zhang Zhun fell to the ground, completely dumbstruck, while the one hundred and twenty thousand soldiers all sat on the ground, their faces deathly pale.
