Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Wang Ge Asks for Orders, Pursuing the Demon Beast

In midair, Sikong Jing, with his wings spread out, was also staring down at Sikong Ling, whose True Qi was surging wildly below, his eyes revealing a wild joy.

His heart suddenly eased.

A smile crept onto Sikong Jing’s lips; Ling’er was safe now, Ling’er couldn’t possibly be in any danger to her life anymore.

He gazed deeply at his sister; nearly eight years since their last meeting, Ling’er had grown from a little girl into a young woman.

Even if she didn’t recognize him now, what did it matter?

A brother is like a father...

Just to see his sister happy and joyful was enough; what else was there to care about?

At that thought, Sikong Jing turned and darted toward the Divine Spaceship, then mounted the Ice Soul Cold Eagle on the ship’s deck and sped away from the Wangyou Sect.

”Pursue!”

The Wangyou Sect’s Great Elder, who was unable to let Sikong Jing escape easily, immediately led the chase to kill him.

Watching one in pursuit and the other fleeing, Wang Qing said tremblingly, ”Master, just in case, I will also lead people to hunt down that detestable demon beast.”

Upon hearing this, Mo Ci shook her head and said indifferently, ”No, all disciples of the Wang generation must stay. It’s rare for your junior sister to achieve the cultivation of the Supreme Forget Love Technique, even just watching from the side will be of great benefit.”

As soon as her voice fell, Wang Qing showed a panic-stricken look. Chasing after the demon beast was just an excuse; she was planning a great escape.

She had to leave Wangyou Sect immediately and run far away.

Otherwise, once Sikong Ling completed her cultivation, the first person to die would be her; Sikong Ling would never let her go.

But if her master didn’t allow her to leave, Wang Qing had no choice but to stand there fearfully.

Before long, three two-hour periods had passed.

With a booming sound, Sikong Ling’s True Qi slowly receded.

She stood atop the ruins of the small palace, in the midst of Mo Ci’s Sword Array, like a snow lotus unblemished by the mortal world.

The Supreme Forget Love Technique was complete, and Sikong Ling had reached the Daoist Martial Realm.

She seemed to have grown a lot, the childishness on her face had vanished without a trace, leaving only coldness and heartlessness.

She slowly opened her eyes, her first glance was towards Mo Ci.

Her voice no longer had its previous clearness, instead she saluted indifferently, ”Master, Ling’er has cultivated the Supreme Forget Love Technique.”

Her calm voice carried far, and seemed to cool the entire Wangyou Sect by several degrees.

”Very good, you truly are my good disciple.”

”From today onward, you are the Young Sect Master of our Wangyou Sect. You should also have a new name, let’s call you Wang Ge.”

Mo Ci was overjoyed, immediately designating Sikong Ling as the Young Sect Master and giving her a new name of the Wang generation.

”Wang Ge...”

Sikong Ling chewed on this name and then scoffed at herself with a self-deprecating smile, without any objection she responded, ”Yes, master.”

Whoosh...

Just at that moment, a streak of light descended, and it was the Great Elder who had been chasing after Sikong Jing.

”Sect Master, the demon beast has escaped.”

”However, we have gravely wounded him, and I have already dispatched people to scour the area. It shouldn’t take too long to find him.”

At these words, Mo Ci frowned, her expression turning ugly.

This human-shaped monster had stormed their Wangyou Sect, and even killed people in the Long Night Imperial City to frame them.

More importantly, it almost killed her own little disciple.

Mo Ci very much wanted to kill him herself.

She also wanted to find out from him, exactly what forces were out to harm Wangyou Sect?

Suddenly, Sikong Ling clasped her fists and said, ”Master, Wang Ge requests permission to personally hunt down that demon beast.”

As she spoke, a strange light flickered in her eyes as she recalled everything that had happened.

It was this demon beast that had saved her; he had risked his life to repair her meridians, and it seemed he had even shed tears for her?

Sikong Ling wanted to know the reason; she didn’t want the human-shaped demon beast to die.

”No, that’s too dangerous!”

Mo Ci rejected the idea without hesitation—how could he possibly let Sikong Ling go out and take risks now?

However, it was at this moment that Sikong Ling suddenly rose into the air, flashing in front of Wang Qing in the blink of an eye.

Then, she stretched out her hand and heavily slapped Wang Qing across the face... with a smack, crisp and loud.

”Master, you see I just slapped Senior Sister Wang Qing away with one slap, my strength now won’t cause you worry.”

Her voice remained indifferent, as if slapping Senior Sister Wang Qing was a trivial matter.

Wang Qing was sent tumbling to the ground, clutching her face and trembling all over.

There it was, Sikong Ling had started taking her revenge on herself.

The other disciples of the Wangyou Sect had complex expressions on their faces, yet no one dared to speak up for Wang Qing.

Those who sided with Wang Qing knew why Sikong Ling would slap her Senior Sister without provocation, while others were full of confusion.

Mo Ci also showed a puzzled look, then laughed it off as if it didn’t matter.

”The ’Supreme Forget Love Technique’ is indeed very powerful, achieving the strongest Universe Grade among the ’Cosmic Primordial’ Fourth Grade.”

”It can easily allow you to fight above your level, but it’s still too perilous, you can’t go.”

Although Mo Ci affirmed Sikong Ling’s strength, he still refused to let her take action in person...

Yet Sikong Ling shook her head resolutely, her eyes flashing as she replied, ”Master, why not let Senior Sister Wang Qing accompany me? Ling’er... no, Wang Ge has just mastered the Supreme Forget Love Technique, and I also need to kill.”

As she spoke, a cold smile tugged at the corner of Sikong Ling’s mouth.

Behind her, Wang Qing began to shake violently. It wasn’t the demon beast Sikong Ling wanted to kill, but herself!

She didn’t expose herself in front of her master, likely because she wanted to continue tormenting herself...

After pondering for a while, Mo Ci finally nodded and agreed, ”Alright then.”

”Wang Qing, take sixty disciples with you and follow Wang Ge to hunt down that demon beast.”

”Remember, if anything happens to Wang Ge, you’ll accompany her in death.”

As he said this, Mo Ci stared coldly at Wang Qing.

Wang Qing, not daring to show too much fear, could only grit her teeth and lower her head to reply, ”Yes, Master.”

”Let’s go, Senior Sister!”

Sikong Ling chuckled softly, then led the way out first.

Behind her, Wang Qing took a deep breath, summoned sixty disciples, and chased after her; they vanished from Mo Ci’s sight in an instant.

Near the ruins of the small palace, the Great Elder stepped forward and said, ”Sect Master, Wang Ge’s mission is indeed perilous. The demon beast is injured and that’s not a concern, but I fear there might be a terrible power hidden behind the beast.”

Mo Ci looked up, nodded, and said, ”Great Elder, lead some people to clear everything around the Wangyou Sect and eliminate any dangers.”

”As for Wang Ge, having mastered the Supreme Forget Love Technique, she has her own will.”

”Since she now wishes to kill the demon beast, she should be given the opportunity to hone her skills, to solidify her Daoist Heart, so she can grow.”

Hearing this, the Great Elder could only agree and prepared to quickly leave.

But just then, she paused and said, ”Sect Master, Wang Ge just slapped Wang Qing. Her temperament...”

Before she could finish, Mo Ci interrupted, ”No matter, Wang Qing must have done something wrong to Wang Ge. The past Wang Ge was weak and didn’t dare to retaliate, but she has changed now.”

”This change is very good.”

With those words from Mo Ci, the Great Elder nodded and completely disappeared from sight.

Mo Ci, however, furrowed her brows and wondered, ”Strange, knowing that Wang Ge still has her brother’s memory to contend with, why has she suddenly become so heartless?”

She couldn’t understand, but ultimately let it go.

After eight years, people change.

Having mastered the Supreme Forget Love Technique was enough—it proved that her longing for her brother was not deep, easily severable.
