Berserk God of War

Chapter 386: Chapter 386: Brother Sikong, Hope You’re Well

”This outsider, is he the son-in-law of the Su family mentioned by Adviser Zhang?”

The urgency in Beigong Xianfeng’s voice was evident as he inquired, ”Where did his swordsmanship come from?”

Zhang Zhun and the others were stunned, wondering why ask where it came from, just punish him strictly and get it over with.

However, Ning Jingjing replied expressionlessly, ”Yes, he is indeed Su Zhenglong’s son-in-law, and as for the swordsmanship, he created it himself.”

Upon hearing this, Beigong Xianfeng’s eyes widened, and then his chest heaved slightly as he said, ”Then we indeed need to thoroughly understand this. General Ning, call that son-in-law of Su Zhenglong over here immediately.”

Since he’s a son-in-law... he might not be very old, yet he has managed to invent and modify the Long Night Black Burning Sword.

Beigong Xianfeng was already impatient and eager to meet him...

Only, the name Su Zhenglong sounded somewhat familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before.

”Okay, he’s currently in the castle. I’ll find him right away.”

After Ning Jingjing spoke, she immediately sent someone to the castle to find Sikong Jing, who was probably still entwined with Su Yue.

After a while, Sikong Jing and Su Yue came riding together leisurely.

When Beigong Xianfeng saw them, his eyes widened significantly, and it took him a moment to come to a realization.

Su Zhenglong, isn’t he Su Yue’s father?

He had Cao Yi investigate this before, and Su Zhenglong’s son-in-law, of course, was Sikong Jing.

He had finally returned, and he even modified the Long Night Black Burning Sword—this kid was more impressive than expected!

Thinking of that terrifying human-shaped monster, Beigong Xianfeng’s face turned red, and he strode towards Sikong Jing and the others, his body radiating with excitement and fervor...

Seeing this, Zhang Zhun and the others laughed triumphantly: ”Ning Jingjing, that kid is dead for sure. Look, even the Commander’s face has turned red with anger.”

However, the very next moment, as Sikong Jing and Su Yue dismounted the Black Steed, Beigong Xianfeng suddenly burst out laughing and said, ”Brother Sikong, unharmed I trust? I’ve missed you dearly.”

Upon hearing this, the entire scene was stunned.

Zhang Han, Zhang Zhun, and the other 120,000 men’s smiling faces froze, and their eyes bulged almost popping out of their sockets.

The Commander wasn’t angry; he was overjoyed to see the young man.

What in the world was this?

Su Zhenglong, the old man from Canglong Small Domain—how could his son-in-law know the Commander, and why would the Commander be so happy to see him?

All of a sudden, Zhang Zhun and the others were completely dumbfounded.

They instinctively looked towards Zhang Han, the Chief Strategist who surely must know something?

But Zhang Han was even more perplexed than they were, whether it was Sikong Jing’s capture of the five towns or the affair concerning the Wangyou Sect’s Divine Spaceship; only Beigong Xianfeng and Cao Yi within the Central Castle of the Long Night Black Burning Army knew about it.

Even he, the Chief Strategist, was kept in the dark...

Meanwhile, Ning Jingjing, staring at Zhang Zhun and others, let out a bizarre, cryptic smile, planning to use the private transmission of the sword method as an attack, but they did not understand how much the Commander valued the person who transmitted the sword technique privately.

When Beigong Xianfeng appeared, Ning Jingjing had never been nervous from the beginning; this was hardly an issue for her.

”Gulp...”

Fei Chian swallowed his saliva, fully confirming that the man who captured the five towns was indeed Sikong Jing, not Ning Jingjing.

Yet, it was still strange, why was the Commander so happy upon seeing Sikong Jing?

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing responded with his fists clasped, ”Commander Beigong, I’m all right, thank you for taking care of my family during this time.”

He was of course referring to ensuring the safety of Su Yue and others.

The 66th Town had always dispatched Black-armored Soldiers to patrol under the direct orders of Beigong Xianfeng.

Then, Su Yue also slightly saluted Beigong Xianfeng and revealed a smug look in her eyes.

She still felt quite pleased about her previous negotiations with the Commander.

”Brother Sikong is too polite; this is what I ought to do...”

”Speaking of which, I heard you caused quite a stir as soon as you returned. Did you secretly teach the swordsmanship to the people of the 66th Army?”

As Beigong Xianfeng spoke, his eyes narrowed.

In an instant, Zhang Zhun fiercely snapped, ”Ning Jingjing, don’t be too smug. The Beigong Commander is famously strict.”

”No matter his relationship with this young man, the Beigong Commander always separates personal matters from official affairs. He’s doomed.”

At this, a spark of understanding flashed in Zhang Han’s eyes—such was indeed the Commander’s character.

Suddenly, Elder Wei and several Deputy Generals also became slightly tense, watching Beigong Xianfeng and Sikong Jing intently...

”Indeed, I encountered the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle during my journey and had some insights, so I came up with something new,” Sikong Jing said unabashedly.

When Ning Jingjing had someone inform him to come, they had already let him know that the Beigong Commander was here and also very concerned about the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, therefore, Sikong Jing casually made up an excuse.

Meeting the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle, then, became his unexpected encounter on this trip...

In an instant, Beigong Xianfeng’s eyes widened again.

It was indeed Sikong Jing’s own creation—a three-tiered swordsmanship—and it was inspired by observing the Fierce Beast Dark Winged Dragon Eagle...

What’s more, the fact that he could encounter the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle was even more significant.

The terrifying image of a human-shaped monster flashed through his mind; it was probably this monster that had taken Sikong Jing to meet it.

Impressive, truly impressive... The human-shaped monster is definitely a Demon King.

”By the way, Commander, it’s nothing serious that I privately taught the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, is it?” Sikong Jing asked, squinting his eyes.

As soon as the words fell, Zhang Han rushed forward, furiously saying, ”Of course it’s serious! Privately teaching the swordsmanship is...”

”Shut your mouth!”

Before the words were out, the Beigong Commander loudly rebuked him, cutting Zhang Han off sharply, then turned to look at Sikong Jing and laughed heartily, ”Of course it’s not a big deal! What excellent instruction—truly outstanding!”

Damn...

Whether it was Zhang Han or Zhang Zhun, whether it was the 120,000 troops or Fei Chian’s 30,000 men, all of them couldn’t help but curse silently, staring at Beigong Xianfeng in disbelief.

Privately teaching swordsmanship, and he even says it’s outstanding?

This lad surnamed Sikong, could he possibly be the illegitimate son of the Commander?

At this, Zhang Han couldn’t help but shout, ”Commander, you cannot do this. Privately teaching swordsmanship is an extremely serious matter.”

Yet upon hearing this, Beigong Xianfeng gave him a cold stare.

”Chief Strategist Zhang, if your understanding of Martial Arts were a bit deeper, you wouldn’t be saying this.”

”Right now, notify the Deputy Generals to come and assess Brother Sikong’s swordsmanship to see if it’s a serious matter.”

”Ask them whether or not we should execute Brother Sikong.”

Having said this, Beigong Xianfeng looked at Sikong Jing again and with a smile returned to his face, he said, ”Shall we take a walk?”

”Alright,” Sikong Jing replied without hesitation.

He certainly knew that Beigong Xianfeng wanted to have a private chat with him about the so-called human-shaped monster.

And so, Sikong Jing and Beigong Xianfeng left everyone’s sight; he directly mounted Beigong Xianfeng’s steed and soared high into the sky, where they intended to have a hearty chat midair.

Watching the two ride off, Zhang Han’s face turned red with frustration, thinking the Commander should not have acted this way.

”Uncle Han, what should we do?”

”The Commander obviously wants to protect that lad surnamed Sikong; you must save me.”

At this moment, Zhang Zhun finally felt fear.

If Sikong Jing and Ning Jingjing were not punished, then the one to be penalized would surely be himself.
