Berserk God of War

Chapter 380: Chapter 380: Who Can Receive a Sword from My Father-in-law?

Several deputy generals heard the words and chuckled.

One was responsible for sending a signal, while another began to shout, ”Rebels? General Ning, you actually call us rebels? We just don’t accept this old man, that’s all!”

”It’s utterly disheartening. You want to suppress us? I’d like to see who suppresses whom.”

Under the instigation of several deputy generals, the True Qi of 120,000 people vibrated simultaneously, and a great battle was about to erupt.

Zhang Zhun casually walked among the 120,000 people, his lips curling into a sneer, ”The 66th Army will be crushed by the 99th Army, and Ning Jingjing will become infamous. She can’t stay in the Long Night Black Burning Army any longer.”

”Heh, I can tell the Ning Family Old Matriarch that it’s a done deal.”

At this point, Zhang Zhun’s face was filled with pride... all of this was his masterpiece.

However, just at that moment, a voice carrying a bit of authority and a lot of arrogance boomed.

”You also think you have the right to dissent?”

One sentence, clearly sweeping across the entire venue, Ning Jingjing and Elder Wei, along with eighty thousand trusted black-armoured soldiers, shook violently and instinctively cried out, ”Brother Sikong is here...”

Indeed, Sikong Jing appeared and strode onto the Martial Arts Discussion Platform under everyone’s gaze.

”Ajing!” Su Zhenglong raised his eyes in a mixture of bitterness and panic and called out excitedly.

Ning Jingjing was stunned, her fists slightly clenched.

Sikong Jing had finally returned, arriving just in time to save the day.

But with the situation at hand, how was he to save it?

Across from him, Zhang Zhun’s smug expression stiffened slightly, his gaze turning to Sikong Jing with confusion.

He did not recognize Sikong Jing, whom the Ning family had never mentioned.

”Boy, who do you think you are?”

The deputy general from the group of 120,000 asked harshly, he also did not recognize Sikong Jing.

Sikong Jing finally reached Su Zhenglong’s side and then swept his gaze sharply over the 120,000 people.

”I am Sikong Jing, the son-in-law of Su Zhenglong.”

”I say you have no right to defy my father-in-law, and I’d also like to ask, who among you in the same realm could withstand one sword strike from my father-in-law?”

His voice boomed out, incredibly arrogant.

At this, the second deputy general from the 120,000 stepped forward and shouted at Sikong Jing, ”What did you say? In the same realm, we can’t withstand a sword strike from this Su fellow, are you dreaming?”

Following this deputy general’s words, the 120,000 finally understood the meaning behind Sikong Jing’s words, and they were all incensed.

What does ’in the same realm, unable to withstand a sword strike from Su Zhenglong’ mean?

This old guy has just reached the standard of a Black-armored Soldier, while others have been Black-armored Soldiers for at least half a year already.

Moreover, being so old, his talent has long been worn down by time; however strong his innate talent might have been, how strong could it still be?

Even Ning Jingjing was somewhat speechless at this point, was Sikong Jing being too arrogant?

Yet, Sikong Jing extended a finger, pointing at the 120,000 across from him and laughing savagely, ”Yes, none among you in the same realm as my father-in-law can withstand a single sword strike from him.”

Sikong Jing’s voice rolled out.

”What right then do you have to defy?”

”Are your fathers invincible among Black-armored Soldiers in the same realm? They are not. Hence, my father-in-law becoming a Black-armored Soldier is not unfair to you all!”

The faces of the 120,000 opposite turned crimson, their True Qi violently stirring.

Just then, a figure rushed onto the Martial Arts Discussion Platform.

This was an ordinary Black-armored Soldier who stared fiercely at Sikong Jing and growled, ”Boy, though I’m not much of a remarkable person, just an ordinary Black-armored Soldier, one punch from me could knock your father-in-law to the ground.”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone’s attention in the arena focused on this Black-armored Soldier.

At this moment, Zhang Zhun walked back.

He looked faintly towards Ning Jingjing and said, ”General Ning, although I have resigned from my position as an adviser, I must still remind you that letting irrelevant people spout reckless words is a great taboo in the military.”

Ning Jingjing gradually came back to her senses, her gaze complicating as she turned towards Sikong Jing.

She did not understand why Sikong Jing was so confident in Su Zhenglong.

But he was not a rash and foolish man. Since he dared to make such harsh declarations, it proved he must have some confidence. And now, wanting to break the situation, he needed to re-establish his own authority.

Indeed, there was only one way to prove Su Zhenglong was strong enough.

Zhang Zhun had picked on him, using Su Zhenglong’s age as an excuse. If Su Zhenglong could prove he was exceptional, it would validate her good judgment in promoting him to become a Black-armored Soldier, which would be both reasonable and well-substantiated.

Thinking this, Ning Jingjing turned her gaze back to Zhang Zhun and said firmly, ”Zhang Zhun, since you are no longer the adviser of the 66th Army, then shut your mouth and get out!”

Her voice was authoritative and resolute, causing Zhang Zhun’s face to change, and he found himself somewhat unable to step down.

”Fine, fine, let’s then see how this old man can shock the heavens with a single sword.”

After speaking, Zhang Zhun stopped talking and just stared coldly at Sikong Jing and Su Zhenglong.

Although Sikong Jing was a surprise, he didn’t believe Su Zhenglong could be that strong. He had already seen the assessments in the Reserve Camp; Su Zhenglong was very ordinary.

At this time, the Black-armored Soldier who had just stepped onto the platform pointed at Su Zhenglong and shouted, ”Old man, come on, strike with one sword.”

Su Zhenglong’s face instantly turned pale, and he whispered to Sikong Jing, ”Ajing, dad has just reached the Innate Martial Scripture Realm, I can’t dominate those in the same realm with a single sword.”

Becoming a Black-armored Soldier required reaching the Second Level of the Martial Scripture Realm, but Su Zhenglong was only at the First Level of the Martial Scripture Realm.

And the man opposite was already at the Sixth Level of the Martial Scripture Realm.

What Sikong Jing mentioned about being in the same realm meant that from the first to the ninth layer of the Martial Scripture Realm, none could block a single sword strike from Su Zhenglong.

But, how could that be possible? Su Zhenglong had no confidence at all.

Hearing Su Zhenglong speak, Sikong Jing smiled slightly and quietly responded, ”Dad, I will show you now what the new Dark Wing Black Burning Sword is. Just follow my sword technique when you make your move.”

After speaking, a sword flashed in Sikong Jing’s hand soon after he softly said, ”Dad, please watch!”

As soon as the words were out, Sikong Jing held the sword and moved to an open space on the Martial Arts Discussion Platform.

He then assumed a starting stance and thrust with the sword...

He didn’t bring forth any True Qi, only practicing the swordsmanship.

And this was, after all, the transformed version of the New Dark Wing Black Burning Sword he had devised after observing the Fierce Beast Dark Winged Dragon Eagle in the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison.

This Sword Skill had once caused two Chiefs and many Xingluo Palace students to fall on the spot with regret!

Sikong Jing suddenly practicing the swordsmanship stunned everyone present.

One Deputy General among the twelve thousand people said, ”Adviser Zhang, what is this bizarre kid doing? Is he passing on a sword technique to his father-in-law in the middle of the platform?”

The second Deputy General said, ”Is this supposed to be a joke?”

”What’s the use of passing on a sword technique now? And even if his sword technique is powerful, it has to be engraved in the Green Jade Tube to be truly taught; practicing sword techniques on the spot can’t reveal any essence.”

Practicing on the spot without dispersing True Qi was very difficult for others to grasp the essence of Martial Arts.

It had to be engraved in objects like the Green Jade Tube to slowly allow a Martial Artist to grasp the core strength of the Martial Skill...

This was the consensus among all Martial Artists in this world, so Sikong Jing was really quite humorous.

But what these twelve thousand people didn’t know was that the moment Sikong Jing began practicing, not only did Su Zhenglong suddenly gain insight, but Ning Jingjing and all eighty thousand trusted Black-armored Soldiers were also profoundly shaken.
