Berserk God of War

Chapter 365: Chapter 365 Sikong Ling, Heart-Wrenching

The human-shaped demon beast issued a hoarse and terrifying voice, staring intently at Wangyou Mountain, then whispered in a low voice, ”But brother can’t see you right away, brother came this time only to kill your senior sister... Wang Qing!”

It had been ten days since Sikong Jing left the Long Night Imperial City, and he had finally arrived at the Wangyou Sect.

During these ten days, he had been standing on the deck of the Divine Spaceship, constantly struggling fiercely with the Demon Heart. Now, of course, he was still deeply demonized, but his reason had gradually begun to prevail.

This was thanks to Su Yuexi’s efforts, as well as a strong manifestation of Sikong Jing’s own willpower.

Suddenly, a clear and cold voice arose at the foot of Wangyou Mountain, ”Is that our Divine Spaceship, the one belonging to Senior Sister Wang Hua?”

As soon as the voice fell, two figures shot into the sky.

Two female disciples clad in snowy garments, riding demon beasts, blocked the Divine Spaceship. They reported, ”Senior Sister Wang Hua, the Sect Master was just looking for you. The matter of the Long Night Imperial City... Huh? What kind of monster is this?”

Before they could finish their sentence, they caught sight of Sikong Jing standing straight and tall on the deck.

All of a sudden, Sikong Jing extended his claws and inhaled sharply, and the two Wangyou Sect female disciples screamed in agony, falling into his hands.

A cold and demonic voice rang out in their ears.

”I’m looking for your senior sister, Wang Qing.”

”Take me to her now, and keep my presence a secret, or else... you die.”

Rolling Demon Intent blasted into the brains of the two women, causing their whole bodies to convulse violently. They were overwhelmed by a feeling of powerlessness, an inability to resist, and a sensation as though they were plunging into hell, involuntarily nodding their heads.

Following that, Sikong Jing slipped into the cabin and was led by the two women to enter the Wangyou Sect in the Divine Spaceship.

Naturally, no one impeded their way, and the two women would naturally settle everything.

The other disciples of the Wangyou Sect, or even the elders, simply thought that the Divine Spaceship was carrying Wang Hua headed to meet the Sect Master, to report on the culpability letter sent from the Long Night Empire...

...

Inside a small palace within the Wangyou Sect, Sikong Ling sat cross-legged, her body surging with intense True Qi fluctuations.

She had already reached the peak of the Xuantian Fifth Realm. What she needed to do now was to break through the Xuantian Realm to reach an even higher state.

”I will certainly succeed. Once I reach the ’Daoist Martial Realm,’ master will definitely agree to let me go find my brother,” she thought to herself.

Above the Xuantian Five Realms lies the Daoist Martial Realm, which is also divided into five smaller subdivisions...

Those who reach the Daoist Martial Realm would also rank among the powerhouses in the East Plain Northern Land, and at that time, passing through the Minglong Mountain Range would no longer be a problem.

Sikong Ling had been at the Wangyou Sect for nearly eight years, and now, not yet sixteen years of age, she was on the cusp of reaching the Daoist Martial Realm.

One could imagine her talent.

What spurred her unceasing progress was precisely her brother, Sikong Jing. She wanted to go home and see her brother as soon as possible.

She wanted to tell her brother that she was still alive.

Suddenly, Sikong Ling’s body shook violently. After three days of seclusion, her True Qi finally reached a critical point. The rolling True Qi, cold as an icy stream, fiercely surged towards that incredibly tough barrier.

Boom, boom, boom...

One strike after another!

Sikong Ling felt like her whole body was about to explode, but she had to push through in one go.

It was almost a success, very close now.

”Brother, Ling’er will be able to come find you very soon,” she silently urged in her heart, her eyes determined and resolute, unstoppable.

But just at the moment when she was about to break through the Xuantian Barrier, she heard quiet footsteps nearby.

However, Sikong Ling paid it no mind, continuing her relentless assault...

For eight years at the Wangyou Sect, she had always been given special attention, and everyone from the Sect had treated her nicely, believing no one would harm her, even at this critical moment of her seclusion, Sikong Ling only thought someone was there to protect her.

Suddenly, a trembling voice rang out, ”Ling’er, are you really Ling’er?”

Upon hearing these words, Sikong Ling trembled uncontrollably.

Disbelieving, she opened her eyes and then saw at the doorway a young man who, at some point, had appeared, dressed in the style of Canglong Small Domain, Great Shang Dynasty, and Xiaosang Town.

He wore the familiar coarse cloth garments.

Sikong Ling widened her eyes in disbelief and called out instinctively, ”Brother?”

He looked so much like her brother, when he had left, her brother was twelve years old, and wasn’t the man in front of her now just the spitting image of what her brother would look like all grown up?

At the same time, by the doorway outside the room, a woman leaned against the wall.

With an ice-blue butterfly tattoo on her left forehead, her face enchanting, it was indeed Senior Sister Wang Qing...

In her hands, she held a portrait of a man identical to the one Sikong Ling saw before her.

This portrait, in fact, was painted by Sikong Ling herself.

It was drawn from her yearning, imagining what her brother Sikong Jing would look like grown up.

It was based on this portrait that Wang Qing found a man who looked exactly the same, dressed him in the clothes from the painting to impersonate Sikong Jing.

It’s not that Wang Qing did not want to go to the Canglong Small Domain to find the real Sikong Jing, but the Sect Master, their master, was watching her closely.

If her master learned that she was plotting against her junior sister, she would face inescapable doom.

”Sikong Ling, you little bitch, let’s see if you don’t die this time.” Wang Qing quietly put away the painting, a sinister smile playing on her lips.

Inside the hall, Sikong Ling stared blankly at the man before her.

After a long while, she attempted to ask again, ”Brother, is it really you? I’m not dreaming, am I?”

Suddenly, she stood up, her True Qi still running wild within her, but she could no longer care about that.

Tears fell in big drops as she stared fixedly at the man before her.

”Ling’er, of course, it’s me. I am your brother Sikong Jing. I can’t believe you’re not dead, you’re really still alive... Brother has missed you so much, Brother has always been waiting for you in Xiaosang Town.”

As he said this, the man in the coarse clothes opened his arms wide to welcome Sikong Ling.

These words, of course, were taught to him by Wang Qing, and if he did not repeat them, he would die.

Sikong Ling’s body began to tremble violently, a counter-flow of blood seeping from her mouth due to her interrupted breakthrough, but she couldn’t care for it, even forgetting all pain.

She threw herself towards the man in coarse clothes, screaming, ”Brother, Ling’er too...”

Just as she said this, her eyes suddenly widened, and then she let out a frantic scream, ”No!”

A sharp sword light suddenly flashed from behind the man in coarse clothes, slicing viciously into his body with a crisp sound; the man in coarse clothes didn’t even have time to react before he was cut in two.

The body instantly split in half, and blood splattered everywhere.

Sikong Ling stood frozen on the spot like a clay statue; after a few moments, she howled, ”Brother, Brother!”

She frantically pounced over, hugging the bisected corpse, manically stuffing all the organs back inside, keep calling, ”Brother, Brother, don’t go, don’t go... wuuu wuuu.”

She cried ceaselessly, finally managing to stuff the organs back and fit the two halves of the body together.

Then she used True Qi to freeze it, continuously shouting, ”Don’t go, Brother, come back to life... wah!”

A spurt of fresh blood sprayed viciously over the corpse, Sikong Ling’s face turning deathly pale.

All her blood vessels, due to the critical point of her breakthrough, swelled violently, blood slowly seeping through her skin.

But none of that mattered anymore, all she saw was her brother’s corpse...
