Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1396: Chapter 1186: Where Is Edna?

The narrowest strait between Chult and Kalinsan, joined end to end by the Doomsday ship, played a hand at turning into an iron chain across the bay.

On the sea surface near their bow and stern, endless shark fins emerged, creating a particularly grim atmosphere.

However, on the luxurious ship in the middle, the big boss lying on his Golden Dragon throne felt he was about to breathe his last.

He glanced at ‘Lu Huayu’, who was standing in the lounge constantly giving orders, and kept sighing: “Look, the Young Master from Wenjian fights so handsomely!

Look at that cyan-colored wall of light, so impressive!

Why can I only lie here… I want to make a grand appearance too!”

“Boss.” ‘Lu Huayu’ put down the tablet, and smiled gently, “Do you think it’s more imposing to ride a crab or that the Gold Armored Knight riding a shark draws more attention?

Girls wouldn’t find the Young Master hiding under crab claws appealing at all.

Girls with ‘keen eyes’ would only be fond of heroes, wouldn’t they?”

Watching the boss, who had turned over and started pondering which lady to invite to ride the shark with him, ‘Lu Huayu’ couldn’t help but gripe inwardly:

Luckily, the boss has always been loyal, eternally fond of the kind of girls who enjoy play itself.

Everyone’s love is like a puff of smoke, scattering with the wind.

This is also why the boss, although no better than the Young Master with his annoying quirks, has lasted this long.

Perhaps the greatest relief is that their boss absolutely doesn’t chase personality, nor likes to chew the calves around his nest, and certainly doesn’t look at those artificial beings… Maybe he’s seen too many intelligent robots, so he remains colorless towards the NPCs in his mind.

Whether they look good, it’s smoke passing by, and after a compliment, it’s forgotten.

This reassures ‘Lu Huayu’… at least he doesn’t have to worry about the Doomsday turning into the outcome of the Black and White Path… Honestly, he’s always thought, that girl Paintbrush went crazy because she felt surpassed by something virtual.

Losing to a female player, perhaps she could’ve accepted reality, as Ink Brush never accepted her, and she can always see Ink Brush flirting and playing with other girls.

However… even the female NPCs in the game, even the famously experienced Zholar Elves are more appreciated by Ink Brush, and even most family members seemed to approve of this strange feeling… Just extinguishing an Underground City on the Black and White Path, ‘Lu Huayu’ felt Paintbrush was merciful.

If it were ‘Two Lines of Bamboo’… he can now calmly think of that terrifying woman… the Black and White Path might not have kept its name.

No, Ink Brush couldn’t even keep his own name; how could he expect peace without changing his name?

‘Lu Huayu’ sighed, quietly gazing at the conspicuous lady disguised as the figurehead at the bow:

It was a tall, voluptuous lady with dark green hair, adorned with huge purple jewels, wearing a long black dress: ample bosom and hips, with a sharp gaze.

He truly didn’t expect that Ambori would have a normal human form!

But what on earth did Old Dog mean by passing on his words to Ambori?

He pondered for a long time but couldn’t understand why he said Sekola could spill out everything from Toril and let Ambori, who never showed a human form, stand at their bow replacing the former figurehead of the pure maiden.

Sekola is the God of Sahua Fishmen, isn’t he?

The ocean divine rights of Toril don’t seem to concern Sekola!

Ambori’s main goal at this time should be seizing the ocean divine rights after Talos’s disappearance, right?

Though Wilko is only the sailors’ faith, he isn’t devoid of ambition to reach into the sea!

Why does Ambori seem to care more about Sekola?

Well, forget it, he’s never been one to delve deeply into the plot, unable to comprehend the chaotic faction’s mindset… Though Ambori, as a woman, belongs to a type easy to communicate with as long as the complimenting hits the spot, but as a deity, ‘Lu Huayu’ always feels she’s too lively… her thoughts could leap a vast distance; indeed, such folks are this!

He’ll just wait for results, no need to waste brain cells on such trivial matters unrelated to life.

‘Lu Huayu’ pulled out the tablet and glanced at the old Ghostly Hag slowly emerging on Chult… bruised skin color, covered in warts, rot, and boils, even her wings seemed broken.

Tsk, really ought to let their boss see that black feathered wings aren’t exclusive to Fallen Angels.

There’s also shriveled, wrinkled, hellishly red-eyed, shrewdly evil old crones.

Momentarily comforted in spirit, ‘Lu Huayu’ still switched to the scene he least wanted to see: the ‘Young Master’ sitting imposingly on the back of an Embroidered Crab, issuing orders with excitement.

The giant bug with a Double-headed Baboon head opposite, standing upright and crashing against the wall, now serves as a massive target, allowing them to unleash their might.

Wenjian is joyfully experimenting to see which weapons and spells inflict the most damage on it, so the scene is quite chaotic.

Life’s always a mix of joys and sorrows, ups and downs, down down down, and ‘Lu Huayu’ suddenly cares about the ‘Young Master’s’ survival.

“Eh?” Celene exclaimed in surprise, “What is Marlagade doing? Does she want to regain her youth?

Is she crazy?

She became a deity under the guise of an evil Old Witch!

To reverse this image… Even Ambori, naturally born and bred, couldn’t do it back then!”

“Ambori just prefers the form of waves,” Shaer coldly reminded, “She can transform into whatever she wants.”

“But that’s not the true form of a deity!” Celene pouted, “When formally appearing, one must use their real form!

I also don’t want to turn into a ferocious giantess full of muscles every time I fight!

Yet, once angry, it’s still the same appearance!”

Shaer was about to reply but was shocked by the madness of the Duchess Ghostwoman: “She wants to become a Fallen Angel? Is she repairing her wings?

Could she really be an angel who died in the Styx, whose soul fell before being punished by the gods, and turned into the Old Witch?

Whose family raised such a foolish angel?”

Lansendel looked bewildered at the two Goddesses and tentatively asked, “Can she succeed?”

“Wait for it to blow up!” Shaer succinctly spat out four words.

Celene quickly explained, “She wants to become a deity in Toril, and Toril has responded to her… But Black Eye has beaten her foundation only to this point.

The rest depends on her accumulating energy and those Night Ghost Hag’s sincere prayers… But she’s changing the form of the Witch!

Do you think those Goblin Hag, Green Hag, and Medusa would worship a beautiful woman who looks like a Fallen Angel?

Doesn’t everyone have a bit of jealousy?

This means her faith power is broken.

Energy… If she could gather enough in these few hundred years, why haven’t those demigods in Toril been able to reach the Starry Sky?”

Then Celene suddenly froze, gazing at Lansendel in shock, “You should understand… the occurrence of the Dawn Calamity isn’t just…”

“If not for some mysterious occurrences, I could have succeeded,” Lansendel interrupted her, “Billions of people praying simultaneously, the construction of large Dawn altars, all were part of my careful calculations.

It’s just… Some don’t want Tai Ji to resurrect, certain people don’t allow so many deities and angels to appear, so they disrupted while I was busy building altars.

Otherwise, I would have definitely succeeded.”

He glanced at the grand image, sneering, “Don’t compare such insatiable character with me!”

Celene was rarely shaken by someone else’s confidence; the gaping mouth on the smiley face proved her disbelief.

Though AO’s approach was quite cruel, it cannot be said he acted wrong… Not mentioning thousands of deities, even angels need energy to survive!

Billions, even if Toril expanded ten thousandfold, it likely couldn’t sustain so many angels.

Otherwise, Coron, so protective, wouldn’t remain silent as so many elves vanished into smoke, nor welcomed any of those dual-title elves into the Elf Deity System… You know, those royal family members of several Elf Empires all have his blood.

Although scarce due to the passage of time, they still exist.

Even Coron cannot support such behavior happening again.

Elves don’t exist solely in Toril, and their chaotic nature allows them to happen again.

Only being unable to enter the Elven Divine Kingdom could suppress those restless individuals… If not for Lansendel being fairly responsible, cramming those elves into his Divine Kingdom, they would have to wait for the end alongside humans in the Styx!

Otherwise, why do later some deities still dare to take such deity paths?

Those with clarity know Lansendel’s failure was predestined from his first day of whimsical imagination.

Whether Tai Ji resurrects or not is another matter.

Shaer looked at these two chatting individuals, ridiculously pointing at the huge image: “The energy of the Night Ghost Hag has now become overly chaotic, and the Undead Tribe is retreating.

Damn, can’t let her enter Chult, I still want it!”

“Once you want a nice environment and yet desolation, your requests are always so contradictory,” Celene muttered, suddenly remembering something, “Eh? Where is Edna’s Cloud House? Why is your cameraman competing with the Undead Tribe for business! Go find that new Mystra!”

“Hasn’t landed, still flying… eh? What does Utao want to do?” Shaer suddenly stood upright, “Why pull the Cloud House to his Sacred Land, Maizro City?”
