Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1365: Chapter 1155: Shuni’s Diverse Interests

”No way?” Celene whispered softly, ”There are so many people around!

Heim might... feel embarrassed, he’s quite shy.”

”How can my meaning be misunderstood?

The Female Mage descended by Shuni has a rather high level.” Lansendel chuckled, ”Lioumon’s cabin is an unnecessary expense spell for others... but Shuni has always used it with ease. After all, not all her numerous lovers enjoy nature as much as she does.

And as a noble-born Mage from Quel Senta, who was also a Shuni follower, isn’t it normal for her to study the Lioumon series?

I recall many Shuni followers being skilled at this spell too! The baseline is low, and the ceiling isn’t bad either.”

His words weren’t wrong, but Hill felt it was a bit rushed... Heim, who cherishes emotions, should... enjoy such an ambiguous atmosphere, right?

”What are those clueless guys... thinking?” Shaer said impatiently, ”They can only stay in the rainforest tonight, typical of Heim’s character to want to stay outside for night watch. And, they must stop to rest only when the two-day meeting comes... The combat spells left by the Mage can only be converted into life-needed spells at that time.

This is Chult! Trying to establish a camp without poisonous plants and bugs, their number of Mages barely suffices.

If Shuni really wants her wish fulfilled, it must wait until they reach the highest volcano in the Flame Mountain Range.

Although the Flame Mountain Range is home to many Fire Lizards, intelligent creatures don’t typically attack powerful groups.

Heim has finally been caught in the trap, Shuni surely knows rushing things could lead to issues.

Her current... persona dictates it, right?”

She asked thoughtfully before continuing, ”She appears as a self-respecting, self-loving, pitiful yet resilient little noble lady, so she couldn’t possibly meet and jump straight to a passionate kiss and into the tent like before.

Heim might be a bit daft, but he’s been wooed by her numerous times and isn’t deeply in love yet, he might be alert.

Such years of experience ought not be underestimated... Speaking of which, when Tom and Heim didn’t fall into the trap back then, was it because Shuni was too hasty, trying to woo them both simultaneously during the Pantheon conference? That’s when they found out.

Anyway, Tom was deeply affected, otherwise, he wouldn’t be attracted to the Red Knight who always wears a hood.

If Shuni truly wants to succeed, she still needs to consolidate her achievements.”

Shaer, who sent Aishdo away, no longer hides her intense curiosity!

Indeed, how could the God of Secrecy lack sufficient curiosity?

Enjoying keeping her secrets doesn’t mean she isn’t interested in others’ fun.

Hill turned to glance at the Goddess of the Night, Celene: it seems that above Gerns’ Black Moon, there’s someone accompanying Shaer to watch the show.

Tsk~ that guy really has no scruples!

”The Shadow Thieves seem to be moving towards this direction too.” Lansendel pointed at the small Black Robe squad moving in the middle of the Flame Mountain Range... They appear to number less than 10 people.

”Even if Cyric is there, he wouldn’t expose himself based on his personality.” Celene glanced twice and said, ”Their team must be the weakest in momentum, as Fire Lizards tend to bully the weak, not relying on vision to find their enemies, probably tiring them out.

Indeed, after ascending the Flame Mountain Range, this team’s speed slowed down.

”Are they trying to wait for Heim’s people to arrive, and follow behind to leverage?” Hill curiously observed.

”Cyric always loves the final glorious strike,” Lansendel said with a peculiar tone, ”Before that, he prefers watching others’ performances, the more flashy and arrogant, the more delighted he is.

He surely doesn’t know the Anmur Navy’s team has such an interesting story now!

Really wonder how he’d react if he came here?”

”Would Cyric dare to reveal himself openly?” Celene pondered aloud, ”The Mage’s first reaction upon seeing him would definitely be to eliminate him, wouldn’t it?

Though Agleya’s side is fine now, when the Magicplague started elsewhere, quite a few Mages died from spell backlash.

Especially in Harua, which relied on the Weave.

They were said to be prepared, planning to go directly to the Stellar Realm or hide in a Dimensional Space after the incident... Unfortunately, they didn’t manage before the Magicplague outbreak.

At that time, King Harua and several school leaders preparing for that Archmagic all met with mishaps, otherwise, Harua wouldn’t be in such chaos like a headless fly now.

Harua’s southern territory is still missing! It’s said their crashed Floating City landed there, now only rampant with the Primordial Storm.

The Haruans now truly loathe Cyric.

In the past, Midnight often called Cyric her eternal enemy, with little Mage response. Yet now... not just them, quite a few Archmages of Toril have openly declared Cyric as their eternal enemy... Though they themselves are fine, quite a number saw their students and families die because of it.”

Hill blinked: So during the Magicplague era, Cyric’s cross-dressing wasn’t merely to prove his charm?

He quietly watched those small black dots, nearly asking Shaer to check if there’s more than one female over there.

Anyway, any passionate interaction Heim’s side wants must wait at least two days.

Fortunately, he has always been rational... What does time matter at such a moment?

Then Hill soon discovered why Heim could gain AO’s attention wasn’t without reason.

The Guardian God was obviously smitten by this lovely Female Mage, but in his heart, the most important thing was his mission and his followers.

Even though he often shifts his gaze to the beautiful lady, the most unconventional act he does is placing the night-watch bonfire outside the round cabin to let the lady rest assured.

He set a limit for himself and clearly doesn’t intend to indulge until he accomplishes the goal in his heart.

”How long can Shuni endure?” Celene also realized, she leaned cautiously towards the giant screen and said, ”No wonder she always complains about how she’s troubled by men who constantly dream of pure love.”

”What’s there to worry about?” Shaer said icily, ”Her goal isn’t to compete for a Mystra position or any treasure, just finding an opportunity for Heim to heroically save the beauty is enough?

That guy loves the feeling of rescuing others!”

Hill was a bit surprised, Shaer seemed to know Heim well... Of course, clearly from an enemy’s angle.

”You’re always so annoyed by Heim.” Celene tilted her head.

Shaer sneered coldly: ”I loathe hypocrites the most.”

Celene pouted: ”Though he conducts slave work under the guise of being a Guardian, one can only call him rigid in thinking, right?

After all, his initial belief comes from the Slave Master.”

”Ha~” Shaer snorted disdainfully, not bothering to speak.

While Heim’s team was larger and moved rather slowly, they still reached the foot of the Flame Mountain Range by the third evening.

The Shadow Thieves, longing perhaps from the mid-mountain, directly moved to a small cliff above the mountain foot.

Moreover, after observing Heim’s team for a while, they decisively changed their position... stopping at the must-pass area on the mountain Heim’s people were climbing.

”Did Cyric recognize Heim?” Lansendel asked excitedly.

”Heim is so recognizable!” Celene said tensely, ”Maybe he recognized Shuni!”

”Wait...” Lansendel’s excited wings suddenly stopped mid-air, ”Celene, why did you say it like Cyric is familiar with Shuni?

That guy hasn’t been a god for long? Most of the time, he was either being hunted or locked up... Why are you so sure he can recognize Shuni whom I can’t even identify?”

Celene hesitated, ”Look, Cyric... looks pretty good~ speaks nicely, likes to amuse the girls with small magic tricks.

Though Shuni loves Heim and Tom’s tall and strong figures, she doesn’t mind admiring pretty and cute boys either~”

Hill abruptly turned to Celene with surprise in his eyes: Even Cyric is? Is there any man outside of a Skeleton that Shuni finds impossible?

”She truly has talent... even someone as busy as Cyric, not only causing trouble or on the way to cause trouble, she can find time.” Lansendel couldn’t help but commend.
