Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1387: Chapter 1177: A Surprising Manks

For the Toril people, what truly makes them fear the Undead Tribe is the charge of their Knights.

The attacks from the magic-based professions are indeed terrifying, but... as long as the Toril people live long enough, they’ve even witnessed the might of deities. No matter how powerful or vast the spell, they can handle it.

It’s only the Knights riding magical steeds, surging like a torrent, that can always make their hearts skip a beat.

That kind of momentum, where they never look back and nothing in front can stop their steps, leaves the Toril people, who always prioritize self-preservation, breathless every time they see it.

Even knowing the reason the Undead Tribe can do this is due to being undead, their fearless expression even when faced with blades makes one feel the terror of these Otherworld elves.

Perhaps, in any world, what’s most terrifying is that kind of death-defying madness.

The Lich in the Bone Tower feels the same.

He completely cannot understand, how could anyone crash directly into the Magic Tower!

Colorful lights burst in the sky... these Knights are equipped with various attributes!

Attributes lose their significance under such madness.

His Bone Tower at the Space Gate’s entrance really can’t hold up anymore!

”Eh? That fluctuation... space layered on space?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’, who was watching the Dimensional Space from the rear, turned to ’Ink Brush Mortalworld’ behind him, ”Ink Brush, bring the space-time warlocks for a full-force attack... It seems that Bone Tower’s function is more than just guarding the gate!”

’Ink Brush Mortalworld’ quickly brought thousands of magicians and charged to the front of the Bone Tower, a transparent space dragon roared into appearance, directly slashing numerous space fissures toward the Magic Tower in front.

The Bone Tower was torn into pieces.

The Dimensional Space before my eyes instantly transformed... an endless rock slope, even the waterfall was made of stone, the rock flowed erratically on the ground.

In the sky, endless intertwining scales rolled, and on the ground, stood small red copper houses, their roofs white, with a pair of black wings floating above.

Is this a fold into Toril from other worlds?

The Knights waved their weapons indignantly... No wonder it’s so tiring to fight, turns out it’s a space fold with the Bone Tower built onto an Illusory Realm?

They thought they were dismantling a tower, but were actually smashing into a rock mountain!

Within the tightly shut red copper houses, came wailing and ghostly howls from elderly women... They were praying for Black Eye.

”What on earth is this?” The Undead Tribe, a bit confused by the situation, peered desperately into the Dimensional Space, ”Can we just fight our way through?”

”Old Dog!” ’Old Age Striking King’ anxiously yelled back, ”Let’s hurry inside!”

”Um... wait a moment.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ leapt onto a large stone, shouting back to her, ”I need to figure out if this space is Hell or the Abyss!”

”It’s Hell~,” Manks, who had flown over from Flame Mountain Range for reasons unknown, smiled as he spoke in the air, ”The Sixth Hell, Marboge, whose current ruler is the Duchess Ghostwoman Marlagade.

Now praying for Black Eye, are all witches~”

”No wonder their howls are so dreadful, like chickens at their last gasp.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ realized.

Then he seriously asked the white-haired lady before him: ”Are you here to tell me... Marlagade is your enemy?”

”Enemy... not exactly,” Manks looked at the Dimensional Space thoughtfully, ”It’s just, I don’t quite understand what Black Eye did for her that made her cut off a corner of the Sixth Hell for Toril.

Moreover, how did she manage to do it so quietly... without my feeling anything?

I knew this person did quite a lot in Moloch’s rebellion... but devils! Scheming and plotting is their job, losers get dragged out or die, winners naturally get rewards.

At the time, I just awarded according to merit, didn’t bother with those inner details.

Anyway, it’s no threat to me.

Tsk tsk~

When exactly did she hook up with Black Eye?

Before the great purge?

So she dared to betray and harm her husband?

Moloch truly... didn’t lose unjustly!

If the Goddess of Magic from Toril helped cover up some conspiracy... used the Weave’s fast info-channeling to bypass Hell’s surveillance?

Ha~”

Manks suddenly pulled out a thick stack of papers, starting to reread word by word: ”Hmm... AO, that old bastard, must have known about this long ago!

No wonder he let me in so easily!

Damn it... was this also restricted?”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ looked puzzledly at the Duke of Demons overhead... he did hear it, this one truly is the Lord of Hell, but what does that have to do with them, the Undead Tribe?

For him, the most terrifying thing now is the ’Old Age Striking King’ nearly jumping and cursing at the edge of the Space Gate!

Although the Female Priest still had some sanity... in command without ordering yet, hadn’t rushed into the second layer space behind the Bone Tower, but ’Snow Cloud Peak’ felt she was truly about to explode.

He glanced at Manks, softly calling out: ”Lady Manks, it seems that none of this concerns you, so we’ll help ourselves!”

Then swiftly ordered: ”This is Hell!

Those believing in the Chaos System faction deities take the lead, others close combat try to wield piercing weapons!

But the Witch isn’t considered Orderly Camp, so Dawn Priests will focus the main attack!

Flame, cold, charm, sleep, and fear are weaker, might even be ineffective, mind your skills!

The Witch gatherings are very strong, no weaker than a level-35 Lich! Ensure you don’t end up alone!

Knight Corps, ready!

Nightmares might show up midway, carry shields! Priests quickly apply shields, keep the time replenished! Don’t let me see a bare head!

The Witch is adept at cursing, watch for debuffs on you, if more than three types retreat immediately, seek help from auxiliary Mages and Priests.

Bloodsucking... isn’t very effective on us, but beware, once bitten could cause diseases... Water Mages and Natural Priests ensure everyone’s wellbeing!

Paladin Legion! Today, your task is heavy!

During collective charges, no need to attack, keep lifting curse magic, pay attention to team buffs.

If detecting collective chaos, trigger the halo in time!

Watch cooldown times! Leader arranges the order, everyone’s responsible for their actions, and the Priests Corps will surely push their limits, don’t let the ladies mock you!

I’m not concerned whether you save face or not!

Alright, everyone, heed this, 30 seconds preparation time.”

Manks put down the contract in hand, began observing the battle... He still doesn’t know what Marlagade actually intends to do.

As for the agreement with AO, that old bastard daring to deceive the Devil King!

Had he not been eager to recover from his injuries and revive Bisozeya, how else would he have signed such a restrictive contract!

When AO demanded that Hell couldn’t have more power involved in the Path of Destiny, Manks actually thought about Tiamat.

That stupid dragon is always greedy, dares to join anything, as long as there’s profit.

Dragon Madness, she really dares to play that, unbelievably stupid!

If not for the Nine-Faced Dragon God’s swift response, what threat would Giant Dragons still pose in Toril?

The dragons are all gone... turned into Dragon Liches, they’ve become a different species altogether!

AO probably laughed himself to death, his fight with the Nine-Faced Dragon God for Toril’s sovereignty was so fierce, none compared to Tiamat’s sabotage of dragons.

Manks has no desire to deal with that dragon, so he agreed not to ally with any Great Devils ranked Duke of Hell or above, and even when they attacked Toril, he could only choose to watch.

She can only attend to her personal affairs.

Manks truly did not expect that Hell genuinely has a lord other than her drawn into the Path of Destiny.

What did Marlagade actually gain from Black Eye?

So many witches... though their strength isn’t high, their numbers are nearly the same as those in her Hell castle!
