Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1383: Chapter 1173: Put Some Effort Into It!

In Toril, creating a Floating Mountain isn’t really a difficult task, but whether it’s the cave-like Floating Mountain where Terry’s biological parents reside, or the inverted peak-style Floating City favored by the Harua Mage, there is one major hassle... they must first find an unclaimed, beautiful mountain peak to carve out.

This used to be easy, but as more people came to Toril, things got more complicated, and as more reclusive strong individuals appeared, finding a suitable mountain peak became too hard.

Moreover, there would be a large number of Druids and Marla Devotees who would relentlessly chase after them due to their damage to nature... so now Floating Mountains are basically inherited.

The most recent example is Terry’s mother’s mountain, after all, no one would go to discuss environmental damage with two Ancient Dragons.

Even Marla Devotees wouldn’t... but their explanation for this is that Dragons are inherently part of the natural cycle.

Humans are not.

Although this laughable explanation has no value other than proving their cowardice, even Marla has nothing more to say... who would let them, whose animal summons and claw attacks have no effect on Dragons!

But for Hill, this matter doesn’t even count as a problem.

He waved his hand and gathered the scattered sand, stones, and dirt of the tattered Neverwinter Mountain Range back together into a particularly beautiful island, towering a hundred meters high and covering an area of 500 meters in circumference. Not only did he pile nutritious volcanic ash and large amounts of soil to create beautiful black earth, but he also prepared enough underground space and tunnels capable of accommodating Magic Array lines.

After all, this is Toril, and the future user is the Goddess of Magic... perhaps she would like to install plenty of propulsion devices on the Floating Island.

Though condensing the Mithril Energy Core requires extremely strong Primordial Energy, it’s still a piece of cake for Mystra.

Hill quite wanted to see with his own eyes how she constructs this energy entity.

Although he has decided to go to the unowned Stellar Realm to figure this stuff out, having never done it still makes him a bit worried.

Fran looked at the already formed island, then looked up at the glowing Crystal Stone that Hill raised in the air: ”Let’s continue working in midair!

The light in the darkness really attracts monsters.

Conversely, as long as birds have a bit of intelligence, they wouldn’t bother with a little light in the dark.

The main structure of the castle is yours to build, I’ll handle the rest.”

Hill took out his Magic Book with a smile: ”Alright, grandfather.”

”Aren’t you concerned about that city in the North?” Fran asked calmly, ”I remember that’s yours too?”

Hill glanced back at the slightly chaotic Luskan and shook his head gently: ”If they need it, they’ll seek help from the Alchemy Hall of the Undead Tribe... they can go straight there from the Snow Palace.

But they haven’t.

No matter what the reason is, I promised Laila self-governance for Luskan.

If they don’t ask, I won’t make anyone do anything.

As for Luskan, what I truly care about has already been separated out... it’s actually the frontline against half-orcs, overseen by Tyr’s Righteous Knights, with assistance from Tampas’ Priest.

Any other Deities of Toril willing to contribute to this can apply at the Tyr Temple.

The rest... as long as Laila and her subordinates don’t covet my money, I won’t get involved.”

Fran shook his head in curiosity: ”Doesn’t look like a rebellion, seems like something happened, someone’s making a fuss.

If Luskan had more lights, I wouldn’t have noticed.”

”Edna... or rather, Little Edna’s mother is there,” Hill said coldly, ”maybe she’s having trouble accepting Edna’s identity?”

Fran looked at him doubtfully.

”Not every mother is like Princess Spencer,” Hill chuckled, ”Young William, despite his unfortunate fate, at least has a good mother.”

Fran pondered for a while, then said, ”Then... don’t you... have more...”

”Melanie wasn’t a good mother, but she was an adequate one, which exceeds the standard in noble society,” Hill chuckled, ”Whether love exists or not, at least she gave me everything she should.

I’m grown now, and I understand many things.

How to put it... not loving me is neither her fault nor mine.

Simply put, an error in timing and marriage led to a wrong outcome.

But, at the very least... she gave me a good grandfather.”

Fran blinked and shook his head lightly: ”No, I’m not a good person.

If you were like Perast, I would have given you a sum of money and never cared for you again.

If... you were like Melanie, I would definitely have sent you to the countryside and locked you up.”

This time, Hill genuinely burst out laughing: ”Then... am I thankful for my ancestry?”

Fran shook his head with a smile, neither of them planning to pay any attention to that Luskan noblewoman seemingly unable to accept reality.

One must naturally bear the consequences of their own decisions, even the All Gods can’t undo regret.

The relatively peaceful Ferun Great Land and the Chult Peninsula seem to be split into two worlds.

The two beast-headed deities were still frantically attacking the Primordial Storm... They were no longer trying to do anything to Edna at the center of the storm, but rather trying to reduce the Primordial Power Edna was absorbing.

It’s obvious that there’s someone behind them... otherwise, they wouldn’t be doing something so strenuous with no benefit.

With just their demigod power, how much effect could they really have!

The Twintower wizards who have been standing there must also have some reliance... especially that Monica who dared to stand not far from Manks.

Manks, who had been observing the battle and considering what else could happen, was suddenly startled and couldn’t help but look back at the sea: those gigantic ships that nearly filled the entire strait... it seemed the undead fleet had mobilized entirely.

Standing in mid-air, overlooking them, she could even see the gigantic ships connected head to tail spreading from the North and East.

Manks was not particularly interested in the Undead Tribe. Of course, that’s because she sensed that this race, while seemingly disorderly, actually adhered to a strict order... even though she couldn’t comprehend this order, and neither could the people of Toril, but order was order.

Such a race might enter Hell but would never join the Bottomless Abyss.

That’s enough.

Right now, she lacked subordinates who were strong and obedient, who could be substitutes for those Lords of the Ninth Hell always wanting to be the boss... devils of such level like the Undead Tribe were abundant in Hell.

Where the numbers were insufficient, it was impossible to play a blood war with the Abyss, and if one couldn’t even see this clearly, truly believing Hell was short of people for work, then... they were only fit to become food for the lesser demons.

Though the Abyss and Hell are inherently hostile, if they truly acted on this nature, how would it be possible for their battles to be confined to just the first layer of each?

That’s just the facade of venting hatred; training troops with all kinds of methods and simultaneously depleting the power of the lords in the Abyss and Hell is the real truth.

There are actually some points of agreement between Manks’ and the consciousness of the Bottomless Abyss. When both sides truly encounter an issue, the blood wars will pause, and they won’t pursue strikes against each other... instead, it’s those guys from the Heavenly Mountain who always take the opportunity to strike them hard.

Heh~

Evil... when the subordinates are too idle, it’s self-inflicted trouble.

What Hell always lacks most is food, in all its meanings.

But food, something so ubiquitous, isn’t worth offending a strong enemy for. The gods behind the Undead Tribe still pose a significant threat to Hell.

It’s not quite cost-effective to mess with them.

Unless the number of the Undead Tribe surpasses 2 billion, Manks might then be tempted.

At least it could be a small play of blood war, sending off a few Duke of Hell who have offended him.

So she just watched curiously as the boisterous crowd charged onto the island... truly interesting, clearing up all the forest blazing from the volcanic eruption right in front?

While clearing a road to the Flame Mountain Range, they also created isolation zones, segmenting the Green Forest into sections, even driving the escaping animals into those safe green areas.

These Elves from another world, compared to Toril... ah, those waste from Eternity Island, are really so much stronger.

If there hadn’t been a Moonflower Queen supporting them for so many years, they would have been played to total ruin by Rose long ago.

Manks suddenly shook her head vigorously... Damn it! Just thinking about that big spider now makes her feel nauseous... what a bunch of dog things are in the Bottomless Abyss!

Monica, seeing the Duke of Demons who suddenly moved without knowing what he had seen, couldn’t help but take two steps back.

She also saw the charging Teraxil Elves on the Chult Peninsula.

But after so long, the strong ones from Toril all understood, as long as there’s no chance for the Undead Tribe to trap them in a closed space, professionals above level 35 don’t need to fear them at all.

She didn’t think the Undead Tribe came for them either.

Could it be that they want to completely annihilate the Anmur Navy?

That wouldn’t be bad.

Compared to the Undead Tribe, Monica hated those guys meddling with Andreju to drag down the Amur Royalty even more... Anyone who understands how they ended up like this knew very well; this is the result of their internal strife.

Although her family hadn’t considered stirring up trouble to take advantage... the enemy should always be the one to bear the responsibility.

Monica, who didn’t have the Undead Tribe in mind, hesitated as she looked at Manks, then carefully observed Mystra still within the Primordial Storm... was there something she hadn’t seen?

Damn it, she really didn’t notice anything!

The Female Mage couldn’t help but probe everything around meticulously, fearing any more unforeseen issues... although the biggest surprise is Mystra’s true identity.

Edna tilted her head slightly, she seemed to have felt it, Sanda King Sister?

Had the Undead Tribe arrived in Chult?

This place... isn’t easy to fight, is it?

”What are you dazing around for?” Midnight shouted angrily, ”You’re really putting in effort, huh! Just look at how big you’ve grown!

Damn it, where did Black Eye get his support?

The Harua losers couldn’t manage it!”
