Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1369: Chapter 1159: Notice Letter from the Snowfall Island Alliance

Celene suddenly looked at the sky: ”I just said, as the Path of Destiny is nearing its end, how could it not toss out all the Toril Deities?

Just watching without acting, that’s dreaming!

Tsk, the old man not only holds a grudge but is also shameless.”

Shaer said nonchalantly: ”Although the same routine comes every time, at least this time it’s serious business, better than the nonsensical reason during the Years of Turmoil.

At least for us, this matter is quite important.”

”Should we send a message to the other deities?” Lansendel said belatedly, ”In what capacity? The three of us?

I reckon quite a few timid fellows would burn the letter at first sight, what if they get scared to death?

Like the Goddess of the Spring, wouldn’t she be clinging to her sister crying?”

”Shut up!” Celene and Shaer shouted together.

After some time, Shaer, having calmed down, said: ”Doesn’t the Snowfall Island Alliance have a joint letter they use? Use that, first notify Tyr and Tampas.

Oh, and also Edna, who floats above us, shouldn’t it be sent under her name?

The final outcome will surely be her, under the gaze of the Toril Gods, resolving her enemies, and then gloriously riding away!

Damn it, why is it always me handling this?

This should all be her business!”

According to the usual routine, it should be Edna discovering Anmur’s conspiracy after surviving countless perils, then notifying other deities to gang up on Anmur’s Sorcerer... AO, after all these years’ efforts, found a decent way for the relationship between the Toril Deities to improve a bit, not be like now, where three deities have four kinds of hostile relationships.

After fooling around for so many years, AO is beginning to feel that Toril’s external enemies are increasing... given the malicious deeds he concocted over these millennia, it’s only normal that many hate him.

So he starts attempting to unite the Toril Gods and his legitimate line a bit more.

After all, when facing common enemies, mindsets will alter, just look at Shaer and Lansendel, haven’t they become much more amicable than before?

But because of the existence of the Undead Tribe, Edna only needs to appear at the end, the remaining tasks indeed seem to have fallen to Shaer, who is most closely associated with the Undead Tribe.

Understand that Shaer’s few Chosen are classic homebodies, rarely leaving home for decades is the norm... basically every time they come out it’s to stir up storms and calamities, places they venture to at least offer city-destroying, nation-annihilating fireworks!

But in recent years, even Abert, the famously unknown face and leader of the Night Cloak, whom the dead have seen, and the hardly known Hydra, have become as exposed on the Ferun Great Land as the Just Knight Corps’ leader of Tyr.

Not to mention the already well-known Iltmara, whose face is really known to all now.

How interesting, when Kalinsan fell, this famous ’Never-aging Witch’ didn’t take the chance to kick them while down, but due to friendly relations with the Undead Tribe had to let some Karin City’s citizens hide in a corner of her underground palace... those unwilling to dedicate their faith to Amanata, couldn’t receive assistance from the Followers of the Sun God.

Some Wise Ones sought help from the Undead Tribe donating them food and clothing outside the city, but were stopped from entering the undead-managed Karin City, were given this frightening suggestion.

The Ancient Night Temple, at Karin City’s entrance, is actually well known, after all, its existence stretches back thousands of years.

Yet, who in their right mind asks for Iltmara’s help?

Oddly, these Karinians trusted the Undead Tribe so much, rushing as if holding the emperor’s sword... no one knows what Iltmara felt at that moment.

Regardless, the Midnight Elect saved the people and received very genuine gratitude... though what Iltmara thought of when praised with words traditionally used for Just Knights, wishing she could kill them to silence them remains unknown.

These three’s portraits have probably been placed on the desks of every well-informed person’s desk in Toril.

Shaer had no choice but to act.

But what could she do? The proud Goddess of the Night can’t tell William: no, that’s not my job, go team up with Edna!

Even if she has tons of little schemes, she can’t possibly hand over her lover to someone else!

Don’t see it as mere cooperation, this is Toril! Here, a glance between a man and a woman could lead to passionate exchanges! Let alone having close interactions, problems would definitely arise.

Shaer has always been protective of her own, how could she let William seek someone else... especially a beautiful girl team up.

Lansendel quickly figured out the cause and effect, humming a famous Ferun Great Land love tune: ”Ah~ my sincere love~ is hotter than the Sun~ and purer than the Moon~”

If it were before, when he coveted the Sun God Position, this song could be deemed a mutually assured destruction, but now, hasn’t Amanata been resurrected?

This tune only hurts Celene.

So when a Moonstone unerringly struck his bird brain, it wasn’t exactly surprising.

Because William didn’t plan on sharing that big photographer’s drama on Chult Island with the Undead Tribe, receiving the letter left Edna genuinely confused at first.

To show they weren’t lying to deceive the gods... Actually, Shaer is not the biggest problem, with Celene plus Lansendel, every deity receiving the news would suspect those two are trying to fool people... this letter initially presented to the Snowfall Isle Alliance described the triangle drama between Heim, Shuni, and Cyric in great detail.

But Edna felt, outwardly, what those few wanted to say was, such grand entertainment to watch, they wouldn’t bother to create a big mess.

After all, it would make watching it unpleasant for them as well.

But the actual biggest goal of this letter is to tell these recipients... come watch! Heim is dating Shuni and Cyric there!

The silly Guardian God doesn’t know whether to choose Shuni or Cyric... If he chooses Shuni, Heim might merely lose face.

But if he ultimately chooses Cyric... does Heim still plan on living?

And, has Cyric turned into his current form?

Edna desperately searched her memory of Cyric... that guy used to love money and beauty so much!

She simply couldn’t imagine, the Cyric who always couldn’t resist groping the tavern maids, one day would voluntarily turn into a tavern maid himself!

This world is truly magical.

”Edna?” ’Old Age Striking King’ pats her shoulder, ”William suddenly turned on the live feed from over at Snowfall Island, wanna watch?”

Sitting on the soft couch in the top floor lounge, Edna slowly turned to her friend: ”I’m kind of regretting not having a giant screen on the Cloud House now.”

”Hmm?” ’Old Age Striking King’ looked down at the tablet in his hand, ”Isn’t this just like a treasure-hunting drama being paired with a romance drama?

The treasure-hunting part is tolerable, at least the costumes and plot are in line.

But this romance plot, what is going on?

Such a poorly made thing... where would a woman be so foolish naturally? Unless ill-intentioned or wanting to fool the man, otherwise... doesn’t seem brainless, not to mention appearance isn’t lacking, what man can’t she find?”

Edna quickly leaned in: ”That... Rouge Mark, is currently Cyric.”

”What?”

”The other woman is Shuni. The man is Heim.”

”Um...” ’Old Age Striking King’ swiftly handed the eagerly awaiting Edna the tablet, ”You... back when... Midnight, how did you lose to such metamorphosis?”

Seeing Edna, teeth gritted, unable to control her expressions watching the enchanting mannerisms of a former teammate, hypnotically responded: ”Perhaps because not weird enough?”

Though unsure of Tyr and Tampas’s feelings after receiving the letter, or whether they would gather friends to watch the fun... due to Tom, Tyr’s Forces of Justice are always not very harmonious with Heim, and on Tampas’s side, were it not for the War God remaining neutral, he would’ve declared war on Heim long ago.

They indeed accumulated quite the grudge during the Years of Turmoil.

Nonetheless, every deity in the Snowfall Isle Alliance agreed to formally inform Toril’s All Gods in the Alliance’s name... in reality, using Tampas and Tyr’s name, as a guarantee for Lansendel and Celene.

As for the mysteriously appended Mystra’s Weave emblem on the letter, well... that’s a secret. No one will force these deities to reveal its origins.

Isn’t it possible that AO helped stamp it, haha.

At this point, anyone thinking Mystra is within those Quel Senta Female Mages, is clueless.

Those girls taken away in Mystra’s name were all intended as altar sacrifices.

Otherwise, how could any Mage dare make Mystra into half a puppet?

When the Twin Towers test subject boldly stood atop the Flame Mountain Range, it was no longer a secret.

Perhaps some have turned their attention to Edna, or more are considering the elusive Manks... suspecting she’s acting under the guise.

After all, compared to Edna, this one has always been present.

The Chult Peninsula, of course, she also exists.
