Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1354: Chapter 1144: Past and Future

The human skin book is truly an enduring horror story in this world.

Hill squeezed his eyes shut tightly: Grateful that the Undead Tribe did not give him the original copy, let William bear it!

Then he steadied himself and still opened the information.

Hill quickly understood why Gewoosh didn’t care much about the traces left by the Sorcerer’s Tower located in Esmir-Talan... These records from ten thousand years ago were left as failures by him in his role as the God of Orcs, not by Talos.

Now that even his identity as Talos has been exposed, he cares even less about leaving behind these documents proving his evil... This is his pride.

Back then, he carried the divine pressure of the God Slayer, and probably no one on Ferun Great Land dared to resist him, let alone in Anmur, the center of conflict, especially since he targeted sorcerers on the path of evil... They were caught by the Chief Orc God and even directly turned into Lesser Fiends, and no one would save them.

Therefore, when helping him with experiments, these sorcerers were very careful and serious.

At that time, Coron was licking his wounds, reorganizing the Elf Deity System, and had no interest in managing affairs on Toril, allowing Gewoosh to stay in this world long enough.

As for AO... maybe if Talos hadn’t died, he would’ve been quite pleased that Gewoosh left him with the divinity of ten deities from the Otherworld?

But the sorcerers were not stupid, so they left the documents very complete... Everyone knew about the eternal hatred between Gewoosh and the Father of Elves, so not wanting to face the perpetual vendetta of the elves, the sorcerers recorded everything very meticulously.

Even including Gewoosh’s curses due to failures, the reason for the experiment, and why their research failed in that world were all documented.

Therefore, it was a report spanning over a hundred years, personally hosted by Gewoosh, but since it was marked as a failure, the original owner did not value it at all.

Gewoosh was more concerned about his later experiments... but Teraxil, as a failed experimental site, was long out of his focus.

Hill sneered, probably Gewoosh never anticipated that the sins of ten thousand years ago would come knocking at his door at this time.

Gewoosh chased the traces of the elves to Teraxil; he could not tolerate any world where there were only elves and no orcs.

However, he found this world was already in tatters... the damage from the Demon Power of the large ape was particularly evident.

He originally intended to leave... a ruined world had no meaning to conquer for him, but then suddenly realized that this world, with its strong Force of Nature, besides dwarves from the Abyss and elves from the Wild Plains, had beasts with very strong talents.

It should be that this planet, before encountering severe trauma, dissipated a large amount of energy across the world... and only the animals and plants native to this planet could absorb this energy.

Those foreign elves and dwarves could not.

Gewoosh immediately took a fancy to the unlimited growth potential of the world’s animals.

In Hell, his experiments on fusing animals and orcs often resulted in the orcs being more resilient! The animals were the ones to collapse first.

But if the experiments ultimately relied on the orc genes, why bother with so much?

However, as soon as such experiments began, the elves would inevitably become alert, so Gewoosh decided to start with the Beast Kin first... these Beast Kin indeed had low Intelligence, not forming human shapes, but they were still of orc bloodline.

Once successful, he could bring out the orcs to use.

Besides, though orcs were numerous, they were not to be consumed recklessly... compared to a large number of Beast Kin, those orcs thrown into the experimental fields due to mistakes were not enough for his needs.

Otherwise, Gewoosh would not have been so happy to receive rebellious souls from orc tribes offered from various worlds.

His experiments never ceased... he always lacked subjects.

So Gewoosh gathered a large number of Beast Kin from Toril, implanted them with various Soul Magic and Bloodline Divine Art, and threw them into the uninhabited wilderness of Teraxil.

In the wilderness, these intelligent Beast Kin could survive much more easily than ordinary animals.

Moreover, it didn’t matter if these Beast Kin died; what Gewoosh wanted was the offspring born from their union with Teraxil’s native animals.

It’s the powerful strength they gain after being blessed by Teraxil, after transitioning from animals to Magical Beasts.

Gewoosh, of course, knew this world belonged to the World Tree, but what had that to do with him?

The World Tree didn’t seem inclined to protect its children meticulously from any harm: it neither intervened to prevent the Demon Prince’s onslaught nor stopped his experiments.

Gewoosh never showed mercy to failures, including his own children.

Let alone the descendants of the World Tree, with whom he had only the faintest of acquaintances.

It is this world’s honor to provide him with experimental materials!

Moreover, even if that old entity showed it cared, it wouldn’t matter unless it came to drive him away itself... protesting was the most useless gesture.

As long as something was useful to him, there were no exceptions for the Chief Orc God.

However, what seemed like a successful experiment ultimately failed.

Low-level Magical Beasts were useless to Gewoosh; they couldn’t even awaken the Soul Force buried deep in their bloodline.

The Magical Beasts that could help him oppose the Demons and the deities of Coron were indeed powerful, but they seemed to love Teraxil more, even willing to lose their lives for it.

Especially his most successful creation, the White Wolf God, which left him even more disappointed.

The God of Orcs, no matter how boorish, could only curse when criticizing the White Wolf God’s incomprehensible decision to destroy itself after recovering its sanity.

As for the others... like trying to find a suitable subordinate to enter the Abyss and assist him in the blood battle, it was a complete failure.

The terrible chaotic force of the Bottomless Abyss could directly disrupt all the power he had implanted in the bodies of the Magical Beasts!

Chaos turned out to be the greatest enemy of this ant king system he had created, something even Gewoosh did not expect.

In the end, he could only abandon this experiment... Anywhere, Gewoosh’s enemy always seemed inescapably chaos.

Unless it was to deal with the Orderly Good Faction or Devils.

Orderly Good? That was never an opponent Gewoosh needed to consider; having half-orcs alone could trap them to death.

As for Devils... Gewoosh had always been somewhat wary of the true ruler of Hell, Asmodeus, feeling that this primordial Great Devil harbored an incredibly terrifying power.

Unless he was absolutely sure that he was stronger than the Lord of Hell, he didn’t plan to stir up trouble at his own place.

In the end, Gewoosh decided to temporarily abandon this testing ground, leaving it for reconsideration later.

The failure from ten thousand years ago had actually reduced Gewoosh’s attention on Teraxil significantly; he only left a little backup and never meddled again.

After all... as long as a Magical Beast with Beast Kin blood threatens the Elf Deity System, he will naturally know who his enemy is.

All Magical Beasts with Beast Kin blood would gather under his command, obediently following his orders to kill all Humans and Elves.

Hill threw the notebook onto the table.

No wonder the trace of that fox was found in Merkel’s Beast Kingdom; following the usual style of the Chief Orc God, anything related to Beast Kin would be assigned to the fox’s subordinates.

He sighed softly: Merkel has managed to hold on for so long, presumably because of Alice.

The cat who embodies both the Power of Purification and chaotic force, the only one of its kind in the heavens and on earth.

But other Magical Beasts would only see Alice as a trouble... Their hostility towards Humans might not be obvious, but towards the Elf Forest next door, it was likely already salivating.

The God of Nobility probably didn’t realize that he had poked at the most crucial point.

Alice’s departure caused Merkel to lose the last bit of sanity.

I don’t know why the panther chose to confine himself back then, but it’s likely tied to the seductive whispers of the Devil from the depths of his soul and the extensive conflict Alice’s Power of Purification triggered in his Mental Sea.

Seeing Alice gave him a headache; the panther probably wanted to solve the problem alone.

Alice... initially accepted Merkel’s decision, likely because she noticed something was off about him.

Her love for Merkel made her choose to endure temporarily, but that cat had never endured grievances, so she ultimately ran away.

There’s no need to dwell on what happened afterward... As for why those two suddenly signed a master-servant contract... Hill glanced at the diverse Magical Beasts in Agleya City taking a stroll... It’s likely Merkel felt that this bind was the only way to regain enough sanity.

Even if there was resentment at heart, the years of living together in harmony for hundreds of years led Alice to accept Merkel’s decision.

Their grudges could be discussed later; it wasn’t enough to abandon Merkel’s life and soul.

Gewoosh could never understand the emotion of trust, hence he never considered bypassing his magic in this manner.

Then there was the chaotic Quince World that even the Undead Tribe couldn’t comprehend.

Merkel presumably regained his sanity completely there.

Hill sighed softly... Alice’s personality indeed resembled that of a cat, never willing to give up the fish delicacy in her paw.

She might truly never return to Teraxil.

”Hill.” Lynn rushed up hurriedly.

”What’s the matter?”

”Some Undead Tribe members say there’s movement in the northern Great Glacier! The Ice Mountain next to Icewind Valley, which hasn’t moved in tens of thousands of years, might be melting!”

Hill blinked: ”Is Olypher planning to wake up?”

”Winter Maiden?” Lynn was stunned for a moment, ”She wants... to reclaim the Divine Realm Gewoosh stole?”

”Where is there a Blizzard not in the hands of the Goddess of Winter.” Hill chuckled, ”After waiting for so long, she finally has her opportunity!”
