Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1376: Chapter 1166: Hell Doesn’t Welcome You

Edna up on the Cloud House was pondering the same issue.

AO, you can’t just let her drift through life like this, can you?

If this goes on, this Mystra will really end up without a single subordinate!

As for Harua being gone, it doesn’t matter to her, after all, the Mystra Sacred Land, whatever it is.

That thing only depends on how Mystra feels about it.

For example, she would rather have the current Cloud House than to squeeze into Harua’s cave.

Well, Quel Senta~ after all, has the father of this body along with Azuth… not sure how Azuth will feel at that time, but there’s always a bit of smoke and fire, and she won’t blame this country over those Mystra fragments.

Even Shuni, who was causing trouble inside, Edna feels that she can graciously let her go now… after all, that Goddess of Love and Beauty is unlikely to step out of the Divine Kingdom for at least a hundred or eighty years.

Not to mention going to the Pool of Radiance to meet the Elf Goddess of Love closely.

Although the relationship between the two is quite good, the competitiveness… about who is more beautiful, who is more popular… always exists. Although Shuni didn’t lose on ‘love’, it’s enough for her face to be swept away.

But Edna knows very well that she will never use mages from Quel Senta in the future… their disdain for Mystra is too obvious.

Midnight indeed had many flaws, but she is the Goddess of Magic!

Edna thinks, even if she wasn’t the reincarnation of Midnight, upon discovering their indifference, she wouldn’t feel pleased.

Instead, the Northern Seven Sisters, no matter what they’re thinking, appear to be at least respectful and not negligent towards Mystra.

Like right at this moment, they’re following behind the Undead Tribe, arriving together at the Chult Border.

Edna smiled a little, even though these Sisters didn’t dare to rescue those few female mages sacrificed from Quel Senta, they did save another.

The female mage upon whom Shuni descended was sent to the sea by this goddess as she left, directly floating to the cliff outside where the Seven Sisters were hiding.

Elaströ chose the place with a great view, and because it’s too steep and slender… only five meters wide, few from the Undead Tribe came this way.

On the contrary, Edna’s Cloud House has been floating nearby, so she happened to witness the whole process of them rushing down to save that female mage.

Edna thought that if she really had no choice but to find a few people to use on the Ferun Great Land, these Seven Sisters might actually be useful.

Just like Azuth, though she understands Midnight’s many taboos, at times, having responsible, capable subordinates with a bottom line, yet not close to you, and sweet-talking ones who achieve nothing, possibly even plotting against you… there’s really no choice.

As long as she wants to live well, and do her job as the general manager of her company.

Reason, though uncomfortable to think about, is unfortunately indispensable.

So, in the kingdom built by Black Eye Mystra, now the only place she can still trust is Shadow Valley.

After all, it’s Elminster’s stronghold.

Edna suddenly chuckled… Compared to Midnight and Black Eye, Mystree’s judgment seems a little better!

The abyss with Midnight is one thing, but as for Black Eye… she overtrusted her own skills.

Of course, it’s also because she had confidence she could control the Godly Group made entirely of her admirers… but who knew her confidence was her downfall?

Click~ Heim that… never mind, Edna belatedly realized, if it wasn’t for Heim killing Black Eye, Midnight wouldn’t even have the ability to seek revenge on Cyric.

Without that assassination, Edna wouldn’t exist either.

So she shouldn’t gloat and curse at Heim, who for whatever unknown frenzy, had to kill Black Eye!

If Azuth didn’t truly love Black Eye, if Azuth was replaced by Heim… Edna quietly took a deep breath, when she gets to Josse Garden, she’d truly be surrounded!

Edna shook her head decisively and firmly pressed on the ‘Old Age Striking King’ tablet: ten days until her 16th birthday, she hopes to see her beloved ‘Immortal’s Visit’ Floating Castle before then.

At least let her stay there for two days!

Anyway, with her understanding of AO, it will definitely let her linger a while on Toril and not just kick her straight to Josse Garden.

The Undead Tribe provided many drawings for her to choose from, and Edna was torn between romantic purity and mysterious profundity until the ‘Old Age Striking King’ suddenly asked her: Whether Edna chooses to become her past self or selectively inherit, will it still be called Mystra?

So what does she plan to use as her godly emblem?

Edna always said the Weave isn’t her, so will she change the emblem?

More importantly, should she choose a design style based on the emblem?

To make the entire castle instantly recognizable as her, Edna’s, home.

Edna pondered for a long time: after Midnight became Mystra, she changed the old blue and white star emblem to either a circle of seven black stars with a red mist rising towards the center, or simply a circle purely composed of seven blue and white stars.

The latter was mainly for those Weave Mages who missed Black Eye.

The former… Edna can only chuckle bitterly at the thought… hasn’t been used by many yet.

She touched her star-studded jewelry and finally decided to inherit most of Midnight’s hard work, only changing the red mist to a purplish-red.

It was then that she remembered why she loved purple.

It was because the ‘Old Age Striking King’ pointed out a cluster of Immortal’s Visit while taking her through the forest, teaching her the meaning behind the purple heart in the world of the Undead Tribe: confidence and nobility, passion and calmness.

At that time, Edna, who often fell into self-pity because of being abandoned by her mother, needed precisely these qualities.

In the end, she indeed managed to turn these former mental supports into her own strength.

Edna looked up at the pitch-dark night sky, a faint smile on her lips: she had prepared everything, now it all depended on when that great God Above Gods decided for her to make a grand entrance.

She wondered how many deities could guess which deity she belonged to.

She always had some suspicion that AO didn’t force the three deities staying in Agleya to return to Toril because Shaer was present.

Nobody would believe that Shaer wouldn’t hate Mystra… so even though Edna, this little girl from Agleya, who grew up under Shaer’s watchful eyes, had many suspicious points, she was always let off the hook.

The presence of the Goddess of the Night was too strong.

Haber’s battle, rather than being trouble for Mark City, was more about letting Shaer prove Edna’s innocence… She obediently stood by and watched Shaer fight from start to finish.

And Shaer fought so intensely, yet didn’t casually strike her once.

Not to mention Celene, Toril people might not notice, but Toril’s deities were well aware that the relationship between these two had always been complex.

Once their powers were equal, the ones to suffer would be other people and gods.

Ah~ Love always distorts people’s faces beyond recognition.

Edna tilted her head, once again joyfully admiring her three-dimensional image of the castle filled with Immortal’s Visit.

The commotion of Dandell crashing into the firmament attracted the attention of most people and gods… of course, the main reason was that everyone was waiting to see how Heim planned to meet his end.

But Manks had no such interest.

She had never liked these boring matters; if not for not wanting to offend AO completely, a thing like Heim was only fit to be thrown into the Blood Pool to be turned into a Lesser Fiend.

Only the purest of souls were worth keeping.

She cast a greedy glance toward the North… the Lord of Agleya named Hill, whose soul emitted a natural light that was quite alluring.

However, it was not pure enough to compensate for her shattered soul and body, so there was no need to offend the World Tree for a minor hobby.

That one was definitely not AO, and was very fond of their own children.

Also being rather stubborn in nature, once you were marked as hostile, ignoring you for millions of years would be a minor issue; whipping back the subordinates sprawled across the Multiverse to their original form with a sudden root whip would be troublesome.

Demons always needed to disguise, while the ones charging head-on were called Devils!

However, the World Tree could easily see through these disguises.

Heh, natural enemies, luckily the World Tree always couldn’t be bothered with meddling in others’ affairs.

Manks gently turned her head, glancing at the White Sailed Ship of Harua.

He hadn’t planned to do much in Toril to begin with… As for collecting Midnight’s belongings and stirring things up at the Twin Towers, wasn’t that the duty of a Devil?

Would he be considered a Demon if he didn’t seize the opportunity?

Moreover, Asmodier, who was once an Angel, was very adept at capturing a bit of inspiration from the River of Time and Space… such as certain items that might be useful to him.

And when the slightly imitated Magic Net Shard brought back by Mephistopheles was in his hand, he felt a slight thrill: someone or something related to it might prove beneficial to his injuries.

So she straightforwardly came to Toril… during the Path of Destiny, it was the time when various people and things of Toril appeared most frequently.

Though the old AO was truly quite troublesome, catching her so quickly!

Otherwise, Manks wouldn’t have had to play bait personally.

Was it not good to hide at the back all along?

Did one really think she did all this extravagantly because she was bored!

Without her, wouldn’t Toril explode just the same?

Ah~

Thinking of AO’s contract, so precise that loopholes couldn’t be found, Manks was very displeased: This old guy must have contact with the God of Order on the Heavenly Mountain!

She spoke nonchalantly, “Monica Strangeant Salem, you’ve found another big tree to climb, eh~

In that case, there’s no room for you in my Hell.

Take that little crocodile you’re hiding and scram!”
