Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 746: Chapter 545: Chaos and Order of the Undead Tribe

Hill flew mid-air and glanced over, gently sighing in relief.

Fortunately, the Tyr Paladins and the knights of Black Rose were staying together.

The Paladins of Tyr, having stayed in Felunryel, were well aware that if they made some reasonable requests to the Undead, they were mostly heeded.

The knights of Black Rose were huddled together, keeping those using alignment detection shielded outside with giant shields.

However, the merchants in the town were anxiously watching, the initial reaction of the Luskanese to the visitors from another world made them doubt the safety of Agleya Town.

Toril was actually not afraid of the Orderly Good faction of Paladins, after all, they mostly spoke reasonably and were willing to abide by some unwritten rules.

But the Chaotic Good and Neutral Good were likely to have serious slip-ups.

Generally, those who roam around using alignment detection are typically from these two categories, especially the Neutral, who care not about others being affected but only whether their own path is firm.

Frankly speaking, elves are a great trouble.

It was the elves who dethroned the giant dragon from the seat of the king for the future of Toril and destroyed the whole god system and several major empires including Mis Zhunuo to help Lansendel become the Main God.

Only the elves had retreated to Eternity Island and forests for thousands of years already, and many people have forgotten their glorious deeds.

Moreover, those from Eternity Island, hardly had any semblance of the elvish demeanor, not much different from the most decadent human empires.

The behaviors of these otherworldly elves, acting with such willingness, terrified many who grew up with legends of elves.

These guys seemed more like the elves before the Dawn Calamity.

No wonder the Seraph were quite friendly towards these elves; they probably also thought back to the past.

Hill frowned as he observed the various reactions of the Ferun people and made up his mind.

This was the first impression the Undead Tribe made after entering Toril, and it was better to address some matters upfront.

The God of Time and Space and William, actually were not going to control the Undead Tribe’s hatred for the Evil Faction.

These so-called ”reds” were originally meant to be experience packs for the Undead Tribe.

Although Hill could suppress some actions of the Undead, why should he?

Hill actually disliked these evildoers as well, but there were things the Undead could do that he, carrying Agleya’s name, could not.

Like Hill, strictly refusing the Evil Faction to inhabit his territory was a very rare existence in Toril.

Moreover, without sufficient power, such words would instantly lead the Evil God to his doorstep.

”Gentlemen! Are you here to destroy my home?” he called out loudly as he landed in the center of the crowd, ”The nations of the Ferun continent are not just of the Good alignment; please respect other customs.

As long as these people do not violate the laws of Agleya Town, you cannot judge them arbitrarily!

This place is like the previous Obastian, I think you understand what to do?”

”But they are so red they’re almost black!” an Undead retorted unhappily.

”The Harpist will post the portraits of those wanted in the North next to their doorways, you may use that as a reference to catch people, but otherwise, do not use alignment detection to create trouble on these two roads,” Hill glanced at a few pirates, ”As for the rest, please follow the rules of Toril. This main road belongs to all Ferun people, even if their alignment is Evil, they have the right to walk here.”

”If they enter the territory, can we kill them then?” the ’Perfect Bald’ asked, standing aside; during the trouble, he had directed the tall knights to create a space using their giant shields.

But his eyes were also greedily fixed on the few red-named pirates.

His eyes were filled with the urge to monopolize the loot.

”Of course,” Hill answered straightforwardly, ”Within the territory, if you find an evildoer, no matter who it is, you have the right to act immediately.”

The peripheral merchants shifted uneasily.

They had constantly been trying to get cozy with the large residential areas, seemingly to secure a few houses to move into.

But Hill’s security was too perfected, including children; everyone moving into the territory needed to go to the administration center to get their unique key. If the person holding the key was not correct, they could not even enter the main doors of the residential area.

They had been thinking of methods, but now most of them decided to give up.

The alignments of many merchants were fluctuating; slightly overdone actions were deemed Evil.

”What if we spot them in the wilderness...” ’Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’ standing next to ’Perfect Bald’ asked a crucial question.

”It’s not my territory, why should I care that much?” Hill said with a smile, ”Everyone is in charge of their own lives!”

Hill heard many gasps around him.

They knew well, this Mage Lord had abandoned business prospects.

The merchants from the continent who came here to buy magic curios, having even 10% of them being neutral and kind was already not bad.

Was he planning to spare Deepwater City?

Not every merchant could find trustworthy subordinates to buy high-value goods.

Anyway, due to Hill’s price suppression, the curios of Deepwater City had already significantly dropped in price; even though they weren’t as cost-effective as those of Agleya Town, selling them on other continents could still be very profitable.

Hill didn’t bother with those merchants with various thoughts. Deepwater City’s Black Staff Kaelborn was no longer his concern.

To suppress the Undead Tribe with sheer strength, first, he had to drive the Seraphs who had settled in Alchemy Square back.

The Undead Tribe finally left, but from their displeased expressions, it was clear that if these pirates were caught by them outside, they would surely be killed immediately.

Hill sighed and said to the visitors from Luskan, ”Although it’s a bit unpleasant to say this, it’s best you avoid the areas where the Undead Tribe is present.

I can only guarantee your lives in Agleya Town.”

”Can our ships...” a man dressed as a captain tentatively asked.

”Impossible!” Hill flatly refused, ”I allow you to enter because it’s Ferun’s rule, and you’re not on the bounty list.

In the eyes of the Undead, pirates like you, who are nothing in Toril, are meant to die.

Although I’m not that extreme, I don’t think you’re innocent either, you really have committed crimes.

A pirate ship, if it appears in my territory, I will only smash it!”

The pirates looked displeased: ”Then we can’t even go to the tavern? Where do these Undead come from? Why so much trouble!”

”Coron brought them,” Hill responded.

”Then this time...” a leading bald burly man couldn’t help asking, ”We just won’t come again, where can’t you drink! It’s all because of these few fools, they just had to try if the coffee tastes good or not.”

”You’re going to be unlucky because you spoke indecently to our girls, right? You brought it upon yourselves!” the ’Old Age Striking King’ suddenly spoke from the back, ”If it weren’t Hill’s territory, who cares what faction you are, we’d slaughter you first!”

The priest dressed in a white elf gown, her cute face brimming with murderous intent.

”Sorry!” the leader immediately apologized, ”It was them who drank too much! We will leave right now and will definitely not speak out of turn in the future.”

Hill was stunned for a moment.

Luskanese are traditionally quite stubborn, preferring death over surrender; this captain, however, was quite unusual.

”Let them go!” the leader of the Silver Shield, Thorne, said, ”In Luskan, guys like them are considered good, they have no innocent lives on their hands.”

The ’Perfect Bald’ waved his hand, and the shield formation opened a gap; the pirates left tremblingly.

”Hill,” Thorne couldn’t help asking, ”with the Undead here, your shop’s going to have to cease operations, right?”

”Don’t worry,” Hill replied, ”I’m more used to doing business with them. The Undead have more money.”

Upon hearing Hill’s words, many of the Undead showed strangely excited expressions: Hill’s goods were always good, but also always expensive.

”William didn’t give us gold coins, Hill.

Before coming to Toril, he made us exchange all our gold coins for crystal stones.

He said that there are special gold coins in Coron, and later on, he would let us exchange crystal stones for them,” Snow Cloud Peak, who had been sitting in the back of the café, came forward; they had just been chatting and drinking coffee inside, with Tyr’s paladins treating them, and Baldy happened to drag him along.

The Black Rose’s people, no problem fighting, but these complicated interpersonal dealings, their family wasn’t willing to handle.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ tentatively asked, ”William only took back our Saral Gold Coins, he didn’t manage those in Felunryel.

Is it because Saral’s gold coins come from Teraxil, and crystal stones and Felunryel Gold Coins don’t.

And with currency, many deities can find some of Teraxil’s laws in it?”

Hill smiled kindly, this guy, no wonder his position was always so stable, his thoughts were already very close to the truth.

The important thing was, Saral Gold Coins were issued by William’s decree, using Saral’s gold mines as materials, and the design also had the Scales of the Temple of Time and Space.

A few thousand or tens of thousands might not make an impact, but the Undead had too many in their hands, if not taken back, some laws controlled by the Gods of Time and Space would be exposed.

Although he didn’t get a response from Hill, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ had already gotten the answer he wanted, and directly addressed the clan leaders beside him: ”Our alliance’s people, don’t spend a single Saral Gold Coin in Toril, got it?

When you drop in prestige, don’t blame me for not warning you beforehand, William not taking them back strictly, is just to kill the chicken to warn the monkeys.

If you don’t want to be that chicken, just behave!”

Thorne and the paladins standing nearby, all surprised, watched the clan leaders taking orders so obediently.
