Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 744: Chapter 543 A Warm Welcome from Hill

Hill showed a grim smile, the crystal fan fell directly into his palm.

As a gift for this long-awaited reunion, twelve tornadoes were his heartfelt welcome ceremony.

Especially for that little bastard standing on the mast in the middle.

Three tornadoes swept toward the ship from three directions, ensuring that they would be tumbling side by side, face to face, with their legs in the air.

A beam of light quickly flew from a ship, heading straight for Hill.

The diamond-shaped crystal told Hill the identity of the visitor.

It seemed the God of Time and Space’s artifact had no intention of joining the Undead Tribe in a cheerful tornado ride.

”Aaaaah~ Run~ Hill’s furious~”

”Hill’s gone mad~ Get inside quick!”

The undead on the deck ran in all directions, wailing while rubbing salt in Hill’s wound.

Coron’s seraphs had no idea what was happening, but they could tell the undead’s sharp tongues had caused the trouble.

Even that artifact had no intention of intervening, so they all flew away before the tornado hit.

With winds this slow, it didn’t seem like Hill intended to end their lives, just to teach them a lesson.

Hill kept a stern face as he watched the ship spinning in the air. The undead who didn’t manage to rush into the cabin kept colliding with each other. The unlucky ones slammed straight into the ship’s deck.

Even if their pain sensitivity was at the lowest, being slapped against the magic ship with this force was enough for them to learn what it meant to have a foul mouth!

The undead always chose to save their own skins, so many closed the doors behind them after getting inside, leaving most stranded outside.

They all experienced what it meant to be totally confused and dizzy, with noses bruised and heads banged!

Especially the ship caught by three tornadoes at once, which mainly had child-sized undead being bowled around like bowling pins among the three gusty spins.

The undead were screaming, but the seraphs hovering above the port felt they weren’t really scared; in fact, they seemed quite delighted.

Or rather, they were excited.

Interested, a few seraphs directly flew in to figure out why these Otherworld visitors could scream with joy.

Lynn and his elf crusaders glanced awkwardly at the paladins of Tyr, who were also at the port to welcome Otherworld guests.

The interaction between the undead and Hill, although quite funny, was understandable. Mischief deserved a payback, and Hill didn’t mean to kill anyone.

But those seraphs storming into the tornado...

Who knew how many deities and strong beings were watching this scene!

Not to mention the harpists who climbed to rooftops at the first note of the music to watch the fun.

They glanced at the divine envoy on the tower’s top, then swallowed back the idea of stopping the angels.

Rashrael’s fluttering wings and on-tiptoes stance showed he was already restraining his impulse. At least, as the leader, he hadn’t rushed in.

Joining the fray would be typical of this notorious prankster.

The elf crusaders just found this slightly embarrassing.

But Lynn, looking at the chaos on the sea, suddenly felt a pang of dread.

How would he manage such people in the future?

Had Hill mentioned that the undead had their own rulers?

Would they help resolve issues promptly?

Lynn felt he might have misunderstood something; not all chaos was the same. Could Coron and Suren even be comparable?

Hill kept a stern face watching the scene. He knew these undead were prepared for this, possibly planning it on their forums.

It wasn’t an event they could have planned overnight.

But what could he do?

He couldn’t strip their experience points over a prank.

Hill could only hope that any undead who hadn’t intended to join would thoroughly thrash the perpetrators once out of the wind.

He figured there was no problem; not everyone could tolerate spinning so much.

He glanced at the diamond-shaped crystal in front of him. The artifact’s avatar dimmed its divine light, now much dimmer.

Probably worried Hill might vent his wrath on it.

Hill pointed to the southeast: ”I can’t offer much assistance. There are many things I can’t do in Toril.

The Forest Park over there is prepared as a residence for the undead, with an alchemy square. You take charge there.

I have local residents here, please ensure the undead’s excitement is controlled.”

The diamond-shaped crystal bobbed up and down, a delicate little box appearing in the air.

Hill caught it: ”For me?”

The artifact gave a small jump, then shot off like a flash of light into the alchemy square.

Hill couldn’t help but look up. The golden sun peacock in the clouds told Hill what worried the God of Time and Space’s artifact.

This thing seemed a bit eager.

With Lansendel’s curiosity piqued, there was not much Coron could do.

You couldn’t blame every troublemaker for being as bold as he was in front of their victims.

If he could, Coron wouldn’t mind killing him outright.

The God of Time and Space’s artifact surely knew who the gleaming guy was, so it bolted fast.

Once in the alchemy square, it could fully assimilate the hut and bind itself firmly to Toril’s space law. Anyone trying to meddle would have a tough time.

The temporal artifact used its fastest speed. It didn’t want to sacrifice this avatar.

Ran by Lansendel, it would have to self-destruct.

Mixing the Undead Tribe and Lansendel would spell a total disaster for Toril, and the artifact had come to help the God of Time and Space, not send him to the Bottomless Abyss.

That guy’s eccentric ideas always looked good at first, but the outcome was a nightmare.

”Hill.” Terry, standing next to him, asked thoughtfully, ”So, you were a bear? Does your world have a Bear God? Or, Divine Bear...”

”Earth Bear, descendant of Teraxil’s Goddess of the Earth, a demigod of the World Tree Pantheon.” Hill interrupted, not wanting to guess Terry’s thoughts, which always made him angrier.

Terry nodded, then lowered his head, lost in thought.

The curtain in Hill’s study moved slightly, and Hill turned to see a little girl with a sheepish grin.

”Hill Dad~ You can’t blame me~” Agleya lowered her head, exposing half her body to look at him, one toe nervously fidgeting, ”They guarded against me. I heard only the first song! The second one, I really didn’t hear a bit of it. I thought it was a surprise~ so I didn’t say anything. Sorry, Hill Dad~ I really didn’t think it through.”

Hill sighed, brushing away his frustration: ”It’s probably their childhood song, something they all know.

They just needed to post the lyrics online, no need for joint practice.

Forget it! I was prepared for this, just didn’t expect it to be this intense.”

Hill believed Agleya. His little daughter hadn’t yet learned to mock her poor dad. If it were Alice, it might be a different story.

The undead didn’t just have alchemy huts; even their family estate’s Lord’s Mansion was off-limits to Agleya’s prying.

His face was bound to be a laughingstock with Hill’s Biography around, but Hill never thought the undead would announce on their first day in Toril that Agleya Town’s lord was a bear.

”Your other half bloodline is elf?” Terry suddenly asked again, ”Are all elves from other worlds this crazy?”

”Terry.” Lynn, who suddenly appeared, said with a cold smile, ”As a dragon, how do you have the face to say that?”

”Lynn!” Hill quickly intervened to stop their infighting. ”Why did you come up so suddenly?”

”How long are you going to let them wobble over there?” Lynn retracted his glare at Terry, ”How should I deal with their leader?”

”Just go to the square in the Forest Park; it’s an avatar of the temporal artifact from Teraxil’s God of Time and Space, managing the undead.

Remember the Saral law I showed you? The undead management rules are even stricter. You’ll see.

Let List take you there.

But first, go to the port. Some undead are already vomiting; they can be let down.”

Lynn nodded and left, dragging Terry along. He wouldn’t let this golden dragon slack off!

Hill waved to dismiss the tornadoes.

The magic ship deftly avoided all falling undead, letting them plunge into the sea one by one.

Hill was a bit surprised; such ruthless maneuvering, was the magic ship also controlled by undead?

The magic ship soon docked at the port under many watchful eyes. Agleya Town residents and some passersby couldn’t help but stand and watch along the road.

When the undead began stumbling off the ship, Hill heard a chorus of loud gasps.

Never in Toril’s history had so many elves and half-elves appeared together.

”Hill~ Hill~” a familiar shout came from below, ”Can I get some mana?”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh, leaning lightly on the crystal railing of the terrace. Agleya floated over and sat on it, her beautiful gradient dress fluttering in the wind.

Many familiar faces were in the port. They were still here.

Hill had thought he might not see some familiar faces again. After all, quite some time had passed.

He waved lightly toward the bottom, the crystal flower ring on his left hand shining, and the divine art ’Water of Tranquility’ appeared for the first time so clearly on the Toril Continent.
