Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 271: Chapter 74: Time to Visit Crystal Palace

Hill buried his head in the Magic Tower, racking his brains to cultivate the branches of the Crystal Flowers. In the meantime, he perfected that Wind Acceleration Magic.

Once it was safe, the two Earth Element Lords returned to the Elemental Realm, feeling more comfortable fighting there.

Adrian sent him messages every day. It seemed that William had indeed proposed many interesting requests.

Boen, however, had already started taking classes at the Alchemy Academy.

The number of players had increased these past few days. With their high military exploits, they had already switched to new equipment.

Hill suspected that William had found designers in that world to draw the original designs. This set of equipment looked very vibrant.

Although it also had the style of this world, it was more sleek and form-fitting with distinct lines.

Many girls were wearing sweet and cute gauze dresses of various colors, with long silver hair draped over their shoulders.

Hill had always been curious about what the male appearance would be like; he couldn’t quite imagine it.

But now he realized that the male players were wearing elf-style shirts that slightly exposed their chests, silk tight-fitting trousers, paired with high-heeled long boots, and a flowing short elf cloak.

However, Hill could feel that the female players who had not changed their hair to silver and still had golden hair seemed to be a bit more proud.

Was this the difference between limited-time exclusives and limited-time purchases?

Hill sat at the table and let out a sigh.

Recently, more players had been taking pictures.

Fewer eyes scanned the starry sky; probably because Hill hadn’t hidden himself.

Once their curiosity was satisfied, the deities didn’t have much time to keep an eye on a small Magister.

Hill looked into the distance; Snow Cloud Peak was squatting at the entrance of the valley again.

He came over every day to record what kind of Magical Beasts joined the player alliance.

He also took the opportunity to recruit individual players, especially those who had signed contracts with Magical Beasts.

Hill had overheard a few times that he eloquently told these individual players that unless it was a battle related to military exploits, they had no obligations to family members.

In guild wars, it was best if they were willing to come, but if they didn’t want to fight, they could stay in a safe place.

By then, it would be fine to stay in Kexlote; no one would dare to cause trouble there.

Hill just sneered; he had played games before.

At first, they could squat in safe places without caring about others fighting to the death; but once they had many good relationships in the family, it would be impossible to just squat there.

The individual players favored by Magical Beasts had good abilities and strong characters.

Such people would never hide themselves when their friends were being beaten!

Just like him, who initially only wanted to build houses; in the end, he picked up weapons to join the guild wars when the house was half-built!

Hill didn’t plan to care about how Snow Old Dog tricked and recruited people; as long as the safety of Magical Beasts could be ensured, other things didn’t concern him.

There was indeed some danger, as wars among players could easily result in group attacks.

Hill had carefully explained this to these Magical Beasts, but they felt that for Magical Beasts who struggled between life and death daily, this already was good enough.

With bad luck and dying versus surviving, most Magical Beasts would choose Hill’s place.

Previously, they didn’t come because they didn’t want to live a life raised by humans.

If someday Hill couldn’t support them anymore, the Magical Beasts that lost their survival skills in the wild would face extinction.

But now, they only entrusted their old and young to Hill, letting the adult Magical Beasts go and fight. They felt that this was already a very good life.

Hill could only silently agree, as their choice was not wrong.

However, sending off one Magical Beast after another every day, Hill always felt uncomfortable, even though he comforted himself, thinking they might die even sooner if left outside.

Probably, bearing the lives of so many made Hill feel too much pressure.

He knew he couldn’t continue to be this sensitive; sometimes he had to be very mindful of his innate tendencies and not end up achieving complete unity with nature again.

Hill wished to maintain his natural tendencies, but he didn’t really intend to cultivate his heart to the point of having no desires, only nature.

To change his mood, Hill decided to take a stroll in the Crystal Palace of the young master.

He had actually been curious for a long time, but had no interest in playing under the watchful eyes of the starry sky.

Recently, the feeling was almost gone, so Hill felt he could relax a bit.

Hill decided to have fun, then go chat with Adrian in Kexlote about their insights.

To add some enjoyment to his daily routine of repairing the Royal Palace to the point of collapse.

At Wenjian’s Youth Palace, Hill looked up at this gleaming city.

If it were in the original world, such a Crystal City would actually be built by embedding large pieces of glass on reinforced concrete.

But in this magical world, the architectural designer of this city even used crystals for the floor slabs.

After completing the construction, they used magic to convert all the stone materials into Magic Crystal.

This kind of Magic Crystal was even more durable than marble.

Various Crystal Houses built along the mountains shone under the sunlight, appearing like a Crystal Palace from a fairy tale suddenly before Hill’s eyes.

Hill walked out of the mid-mountain Teleportation Array and proceeded towards the massive Crystal Castle at the top of the hill.

If it were a city in this world, this should be the Lord’s Mansion.

But the Undead Tribe didn’t care about such things.

The theme park was the center of this city.

Hill followed the crowd through the castle gates; many people from this world had come!

Hill saw many Mages and Knights dressed in Undead Tribe clothing.

Although they were wearing similar clothes, they could be recognized at a glance.

It wasn’t just a matter of low levels, but also the innate exuberant power emanating from the element bodies of the Undead Tribe. Even at the Mage stage, their presence was more imposing than the Magisters of this world.

Hill’s attention was instantly drawn to the inside of the castle.

This was a massive castle a hundred meters tall. Glancing at the spiraling staircases on both the left and right, Hill’s gaze was captivated by the scene straight ahead.

The hollowed-out mountain cave was filled with seawater. Through the hundred-meter-high Crystal Wall, various sea monsters peered into the castle.

Some people sat on the corridors on both sides, gazing at the sea monsters through the Crystal Wall.

Most of them were from this world.

The Undead Tribe walked towards the underground pathways on the two sides.

Hill unhesitatingly followed the Undead Tribe; the sea monsters could wait for another time.

The passage descended around 10 meters before splitting into two; one side had stairs for a leisurely walk, while the other became a long slide.

The Undead Tribe all headed straight for the slide. Seeing the few people walking on the stairs, Hill boarded the slide.

The slide had a Gravity Array on it! Hill realized it as soon as he got onto it!

This was dozens of times faster than a roller coaster!

In what felt like the blink of an eye, Hill had slid to the bottom. The slide did not reach the bottom directly but instead broke off midway, tossing all passengers into the air, plunging them into the pool below.

Amidst the screams, Hill saw the most thrilling moment.

The Mosaic were squatting at the bottom, using pincers to grip the clothing of the people falling from the air.

It was indeed a very good method for training the sensitivity of the pincers.

Although, even though the Mosaic were very skilled at catching people and no one appeared to be injured or dead, Hill was still glad his hair clip worked well, as not a single Mosaic noticed him.

Hill joyfully plunged into the underwater world.

Standing in the water, he felt his smooth breathing and comfortable skin and sighed softly.

Were his ancestors a mix of Earth Bear and polar bear? Or were Moon Elves innately good swimmers?

The feeling of being in water was incredibly smooth.

Hill swam lightly, surfacing from the water.

He had come out from the slide on the side; in the middle, there was a huge waterfall slide for sea monsters to play on.

Hill watched an octopus and a shark hug each other tightly as they fell from the waterfall.

Their slide also had a Gravity Array!

Was this to train the toughness of fish skin?

The Mosaic wouldn’t catch them.

Hill looked ahead.

Outside, it was half seawater and half sky.

Sea birds circled in the sky, paying no attention to the hunters in the water below; their eyes were curious gazing at the crazed humans and sea monsters inside the Crystal Wall.

The sea monsters in the water had no interest in hunting either; they were delightedly chasing the rapidly spinning Ferris wheel inside the Crystal Wall.

Hill watched the Ferris wheel, which was similar to a water wheel.

Although the small cabins were fully enclosed and seemed sturdy, the deafening crash as it hit the bottom each time made him feel frightened.

Though Hill had no interest in riding it.

But every ten minutes, the Ferris wheel would stop, and there were always people and Magical Beasts lining up, both on land and in the water.

Those sea monsters that didn’t want to come out were forcefully pulled out by the fierce Mosaic Legend guarding the giant shell box, only to sulkily return to line up again or go to slide the waterfall slide.

The Mosaic Legend guarded a massive shell box, and anyone or any sea monster wanting to ride the Ferris wheel had to throw in two Crystal Stones.

Once seated, the Mosaic Legend became the power source for the Ferris wheel.

Hill heard an Undead nearby shouting, ”Faster, faster, it’s rare for a Legend to take charge today; it’s much faster than the little Mosaics!”

So was the Mosaic family now partners in Wenjian’s theme park?

Hill looked up at the carousel hanging from the Crystal Roof and gently floated up to sit on it.

This was made with an Alchemy Array, so the speed was slow.

Were they not adept enough, so they put the Magical Beasts to work instead?

It also counted as reemployment for these Magical Beasts, probably quite profitable; otherwise, even Legends wouldn’t get involved!

Hill glanced at the stalls below.

The stalls were all on small rocks in the sea, with the Undead Tribe jumping from rock to rock and the sea monsters swimming around to shop.

The Undead stalls mainly sold food to the Magical Beasts.

On the sea monster stalls, it was the Undead who were buying.

They held tablets, calculating the price differences across regions while bargaining with the sea monsters.

There were actually not many amusement projects, but it was already enough to surprise the people and beasts of this world.

As for the Undead, being able to ride thrilling amusement rides without the real risk of death was enough to make them jubilant.
