Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1200: 1199 a kiss for a slap

Fang Zhiwei lowered her gaze and when she looked up again, her expression had returned to normal. She said softly, “I won’t be going, Ah Kai, Yiyi is not alone with Tongtong, Aunt Bai is there too.”

“Exactly, stop talking nonsense.”

Bai Yiyi glared at Gu Kai, displeased.

Gu Kai smiled nonchalantly, “If you don’t want to move to my place, just pick out a satisfactory one, and I’ll buy it for you as a gift.”

“I’m leaving now, Ah Kai. Since you are going to look at houses with Yiyi, it seems dinner is off the table. I’ll take it with me.”

Fang Zhiwei smiled, walked over to the coffee table, and picked up the thermal lunch box placed there.

“Okay.” Gu Kai didn’t say more, just a faint ‘okay’. His face looked gentle, but the word sounded like it pricked Fang Zhiwei’s heart.

After Fang Zhiwei left with the thermal lunch box, Bai Yiyi frowned and said with pity, “Gu Kai, you’re really cruel.”

“I’m doing this for her own good, better a short pain than a long one,” Gu Kai retorted indifferently, then walked into the resting area. Before closing the door, he turned to Bai Yiyi, who was standing in front of the sofa, and said, “Wait for me a few minutes.”

Bai Yiyi pouted and sat back down on the sofa.

A few minutes later, Gu Kai emerged from the resting area in casual clothes and gestured to Bai Yiyi on the sofa that it was time to leave.

Bai Yiyi stood up and followed him out of the office to take the elevator downstairs.

In the hospital parking lot, Fang Zhiwei sat in her car, lost in thought and not leaving immediately. As she watched Gu Kai’s car stop at the roadside and Bai Yiyi get in, sorrow in her eyes rapidly spread.

“The show’s over. Take me home,” Bai Yiyi said as she buckled up, turning to instruct Gu Kai.

As the car set off, Gu Kai spoke lightly, “The things I said earlier are true, you can pick out any apartment you like later.”

“Buying a house?” Bai Yiyi’s eyes widened in astonishment as she looked at Gu Kai in the driver’s seat. Was he sick, buying her a house.

Gu Kai turned his head, his gaze sweeping over her, “Yes, all of them are well-managed communities. For Tongtong’s safety, you have to move.”

“Gu Kai, don’t forget what you promised me this morning,” Bai Yiyi frowned and looked at Gu Kai unhappily.

Gu Kai smirked, “Of course I remember. I promised you no mockery, no arguments, no harshness. What does that have to do with buying Tongtong a house? Don’t forget, I’m Tongtong’s father; I have the right to give her a better life.”

“I want to add another condition,” Bai Yiyi pursed her lips and said forcefully.

Gu Kai chuckled as if hearing the biggest joke, “Bai Yiyi, do you think you can add as many conditions as you want?”

“Otherwise, I’ll call Fang Zhiwei right now and tell her that earlier was just you asking me to act, to make her give up on you. Gu Kai, it’s bad enough you played Fang Zhiwei from start to end, but now you’re hurting her like this. What if she…” Ah!

While saying this, Bai Yiyi lowered her head to grab her phone from her bag, just as she raised her phone to threaten Gu Kai, the Maybach suddenly swerved, screeching to a halt on the roadside.

The sharp sound of the tires rubbing against the road pierced the ears. Bai Yiyi’s body was thrust forward by inertia, and even with the seatbelt on, the sudden stop almost caused her to hit something.

“Gu Kai, you’re crazy…”

Stabilizing herself, Bai Yiyi looked up, about to curse,

However, before she could get the words out, the man in the driver’s seat reached over, grabbed her shoulders, and pulled her forcefully towards him. He leaned over, lowered his head, and his other hand held her head, his warm lips landing on hers in a kiss.

…

Yiyi’s brain boomed.

As if a bomb had exploded, consciousness was blown to ashes in an instant, leaving a blank void.

Upon her lips, the rich masculine scent electrified her, sending a wave of tingles throughout her body.

In the confined space of the car, the air seemed to have been instantly vacuumed out, as ambiguous threads wove intricately and permeated every corner of the vehicle.

Yiyi’s daze and surprise gave the illusion of compliance and non-resistance, which allowed Gu Kai to pry open her defenses effortlessly, like a robber bursting through, dominating and plundering.

Not until Gu Kai had savored every fragrant sweetness in her mouth and reluctantly retreated did Yiyi finally snap out of it. Her face, stunned just a second ago, now seemed to bleed with rage as she raised her hand and—”smack”—

landed a harsh slap across Gu Kai’s face.

“Gu Kai, you bastard.”

Unable to contain her fury, she cursed again, panting heavily, unbuckled her seatbelt, and yelled at him, “Open the door, I want to get out.”

A hint of resentment flashed in Gu Kai’s eyes. He raised his hand to touch his half-struck face, gazing sharply at her like a wild beast stalking its prey, his breath dangerous.

“A slap for a kiss, Yiyi, this is truly your style.”

The corner of Gu Kai’s mouth curved into a wicked smile, “Just now you said we have nothing to do with each other, didn’t you? I just wanted you to understand that you and I are not unrelated — besides that unexpected night, and just now, I kissed you.”

“You shameless.”

Yiyi’s face flushed and paled alternately with anger, the fury in her eyes wishing it could transform into knives and pierce dozens of holes in Gu Kai.

Gu Kai narrowed his eyes, leaning towards her.

Yiyi instinctively leaned back warily, “What are you going to do?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t kiss you forcefully again after the slap you just gave me.”

Gu Kai’s tone abruptly turned cold, “However, I will remember this slap, Yiyi, and you remember too, you promised me this morning that you would go along with the act, and you’re not allowed to go back on your word, nor to threaten me with telling Fang Zhiwei.”

“It was you who forced me first.”

Yiyi argued furiously, this jerk, she should never have agreed to him.

Gu Kai reached out, and under her vigilant gaze, he merely pulled the seatbelt over and buckled her up before sitting upright, containing his anger, and sternly said, “The house, it was a birthday gift I gave to Tongtong. What’s so bad about moving you to a better neighborhood and not wanting to spend my money?”

“I don’t want to move, nor do I want to use your money.”

Yiyi stubbornly refused to accept it.

…

Gu Kai turned his head, glanced at her with a deep gaze, and without a word, started the engine and continued on the road.

Yiyi hung her head, her gaze falling on her fingers resting on her thighs, her heartbeat still erratic and not calmed by the end of that kiss.

Her lips, too, were still numb. If the accidental night had happened when she wasn’t fully conscious and her memory was hazy, then that kiss just now was so vivid that she couldn’t forget even if she wanted to.

The hand resting on her thigh involuntarily lifted, as if contemplating something, then suddenly lowered again.
