Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1195: 1194 bump into

Gu Kai’s lips curled into an enchanting smile, his gaze locking tightly with hers, ”Bai Yiyi, look carefully.”

”Let go of me first.”

Bai Yiyi’s heartbeat was getting faster and faster. Gu Kai, this bastard, as she leaned back, creating some distance between them, his legs were still closely pressed against hers. Through the fabric, she could feel his warmth.

As hot as a branding iron.

This made her involuntarily recall that night’s scenario, her cheeks instantly blushing.

She subconsciously pursed her lips, telling herself not to have any wild thoughts.

However, what Bai Yiyi didn’t realize was that her action of pursing her lips, to Gu Kai who was so close, seemed inexplicably seductive, causing his eyes to darken suddenly, his Adam’s apple sliding sensuously as his handsome face moved closer to hers.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed in the stairwell.

Gu Kai’s gaze remained intently on Bai Yiyi’s rosy lips, like vibrant petals begging to be plucked.

With all his attention on her, he neglected the footsteps in the hallway, his sexy thin lips coming closer...

”Yiyi, Ah Kai!”

A surprised voice interrupted the ambiguous atmosphere.

It also stopped Gu Kai from kissing Bai Yiyi’s lips.

Bai Yiyi’s face changed drastically, and upon hearing Fang Zhiwei’s voice, Gu Kai paused in his motion. His grip on Bai Yiyi loosened, and the next second, she pushed him away angrily.

Gu Kai was successfully shoved aside, taking a step back to stand firm.

Bai Yiyi’s face turned shades of red and white, one hand on the railing, explaining to Fang Zhiwei who was standing below: ”Sister Wei, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing between Gu Kai and me.”

Fang Zhiwei’s eyes were interwoven with shock and hurt, staring intensely at Gu Kai.

Originally, she wanted to ask Gu Kai if he liked Bai Yiyi, but hearing Bai Yiyi’s explanation, she shivered, suddenly awakening, the hurt in her eyes receding like tide, replaced with a faint smile, ”I didn’t misunderstand, Yiyi, there’s no need to hurry.”

Bai Yiyi was a bit breathless, she turned her head to glare at Gu Kai, shifting the topic to ask: ”Sister Wei, how did you get in?”

Fang Zhiwei smiled, saying calmly, ”I felt a bit stuffy in the car, so I came down for a walk.”

”Then let’s go upstairs together.”

Bai Yiyi smiled awkwardly, embarrassed to have been seen in that scene just now by Fang Zhiwei, she really was...

”Why didn’t you take the elevator, Yiyi? Which floor do you live on?” Fang Zhiwei glanced at the elevator and asked casually.

”I live on the fifth floor, I often take the stairs, it’s quite fast,” Bai Yiyi said, glancing at the elevator and lowering her voice to add, ”That elevator, on the other hand, broke down once, trapping me inside for half an hour...”

She patted her chest, still visibly scared from the previous ordeal.

”I see.” Fang Zhiwei suddenly understood, glanced at Gu Kai again, noticing his calm and unaffected demeanor as if nothing had happened just now, a tinge of bitterness rose in her heart, she lowered her gaze, taking a few steps up: ”Let’s go, if we’re any later Tongtong will start to worry.”

”Mm.”

Bai Yiyi nodded, leading the way upfront, with Fang Zhiwei walking behind her, and Gu Kai trailing last.

The three of them climbed the stairs to the fifth floor together, along the way, Fang Zhiwei and Bai Yiyi talked, while Gu Kai silently followed behind, lost in thought.

When they entered the house, Tongtong immediately slid down from the sofa, excitedly shouting, ”Daddy, Daddy, Mommy.”

She leaped into Gu Kai’s arms like a little bird.

”Tongtong, did you miss Daddy?” Gu Kai laughed heartily as he lifted Tongtong high above his head, spinning her in a circle before kissing her little face, and Tongtong immediately kissed him back.

”I missed, Tongtong missed, Daddy.”

Tongtong expressed her longing for her father in her tender voice, her sentences broken and childlike.

Gu Kai’s heart brimmed with warmth as he inspected Tongtong after embracing her, saying, ”A few days apart, our Tongtong has grown even prettier, turning into a little beauty.”

”Daddy, pretty.”

Tongtong was a polite child. When Gu Kai complimented her beauty, she immediately returned the compliment.

Hearing Tongtong’s words, Fang Zhiwei couldn’t help but laugh, ”Tongtong, your daddy isn’t pretty, he’s handsome.”

Tongtong blinked her big eyes, repeating, ”Daddy handsome.”

”Haha, Tongtong is so smart, quick to learn.”

Bai Yuqin came out of the kitchen and saw Gu Kai bringing Fang Zhiwei with him; a flash of surprise crossed her eyes. Fang Zhiwei politely greeted her.

After a brief conversation, Gu Kai looked down at his wristwatch, ”Aunt Bai, we’ll be taking our leave now.”

”Tongtong, do you want to sleep with daddy tonight?”

Bai Yiyi, who had no desire to be a third wheel, especially after the incident on the stairs, saw an opportunity and cheerfully asked Tongtong.

Of course, Tongtong wanted to, without a second thought she vigorously nodded: ”Sleep, with daddy.”

Bai Yiyi said buoyantly, ”Tongtong, then you’ll stay at Daddy’s place tonight, sleep with him, okay?”

”Okay.”

Tongtong looked at Gu Kai and continued nodding.

Only then did Bai Yiyi shift her gaze away from Tongtong, looked up, and said to Gu Kai, ”You don’t need to bring Tongtong back tonight, just let her stay at your place and bring her back tomorrow morning.”

”Yiyi, aren’t you coming?”

Fang Zhiwei asked, surprised, while Gu Kai’s gaze rested heavily on Bai Yiyi, silent.

Bai Yiyi smiled and shook her head, ”I won’t be going.”

”Tongtong, Mommy isn’t going. Can you go home with Daddy alone, okay?” Without paying attention to Bai Yiyi, Gu Kai gently inquired Tongtong.

Tongtong blinked blankly, then turned to look at Bai Yiyi, ”Mommy.”

She wasn’t smiling; instead, she looked at Bai Yiyi with her innocent eyes, not fully grasping the meaning of their conversation.

Why isn’t Mommy going!

Bai Yiyi grabbed Tongtong’s little hand, kissed it, then patted her soft cheek, ”You must listen to Daddy. Tomorrow morning, Mommy will wait for you at home.”

”Aunt Bai, we’ll be going now.”

Gu Kai glanced at Bai Yiyi, unexpectedly not insisting she join them. It was just that look, so faint!

Fang Zhiwei also said her polite farewells to Bai Yuqin, waved to Bai Yiyi, and left the Bai Family with Gu Kai.

Bai Yiyi closed the door, placing one hand on her chest, and let out a long sigh.

The area around her heart gradually calmed down.

”Yiyi, why didn’t you go along? What if Tongtong cries for Mommy?”

Behind her, Bai Yuqin disapprovingly asked.

Bai Yiyi turned and walked toward her room, responding light-heartedly, ”It won’t happen; if Tongtong cries, Gu Kai will find a way to comfort her.”

Upon entering her room and closing the door, she leaned against it, closed her eyes, and the ambiguous scene from the staircase surfaced in her mind. If it were not for Fang Zhiwei’s voice earlier, would Gu Kai have kissed her?

At that thought, her heart suddenly quivered!
