Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1184: Why is it me driving?

Bai Yiyi saw Zhang Siming’s slightly reddened face, the guilt in his eyes, and his somewhat anxious gaze. She suddenly felt like she was bullying this honest man.

“Miss Bai, don’t you trust me?”

Seeing her not speaking, Zhang Siming grew even more anxious.

Bai Yiyi shook her head, “No.”

“Then sit down and finish this cup of coffee. I still have things to tell you, Miss Bai.”

Hearing her say that she didn’t distrust him, a happy smile immediately returned to Zhang Siming’s face. He was actually not bad looking. Although he wasn’t as handsome and striking as Gu Kai, he wasn’t ugly either.

And, when he smiled, it gave a very reassuring feeling.

Bai Yiyi, holding Tongtong, sat back down, and before doing so, she subconsciously glanced over at Gu Kai, not far away, with the corner of her eye.

Seeing Bai Yiyi sitting down again with Tongtong in her arms, Gu Kai sneered to himself.

It seemed that woman was truly desperate for men. He had sent Tongtong over to her, yet she could still engage in an animated conversation with a man.

“Ah Kai, you wait for Tongtong here. I’m going to the market to buy some fish. Tongtong loves fish.”

After Bai Yuqin saw Bai Yiyi sit down again, she glanced at Gu Kai, whose expression was indiscernible, and spoke with a smile.

“Alright.”

Gu Kai nodded indifferently. He had nothing to do today, and it was a good opportunity to see for himself how Bai Yiyi managed to charm men.

After Bai Yuqin left, he leaned back in his chair, casually crossed his legs, holding a cup of coffee, and watched in a lazy manner in the direction of Bai Yiyi.

“Miss Bai, there is something I’m not sure if I should say.”

“If you have something to say, Mr. Zhang, please speak,” Bai Yiyi replied, and Tongtong started to squirm in her small body, “Mommy, looking for daddy.”

Bai Yiyi’s face changed slightly, “Tongtong, listen to the uncle speak, don’t be noisy.”

Confusion flickered in Zhang Siming’s eyes as he glanced towards Gu Kai and said to Bai Yiyi: “Miss Bai, although today is the first time I’ve met you, I really like you. You might not believe what I am saying, but it’s the truth.”

Surprise appeared on Bai Yiyi’s face.

She didn’t expect Zhang Siming to say that he liked her.

And this was despite knowing that she had a daughter. Did this man really not care that she had a child out of wedlock?

“If Miss Bai is willing to marry me, I will definitely treat Tongtong as my own birth daughter and love her dearly.”

Zhang Siming continued: “If you are worried that if we have children, it would be bad for Tongtong, we don’t have to have children.”

“Mr. Zhang, this is our first meeting, you don’t know me well, you don’t need to say these things.”

The corners of Bai Yiyi’s mouth twitched slightly. This Zhang Siming seemed to be that honest type of man, but his ideas were so liberal.

He was actually willing to raise another man’s daughter and not have children of his own.

Zhang Siming wanted to say more, but Bai Yiyi’s cellphone suddenly rang. She instinctively glanced towards Gu Kai’s direction, only to find his table empty.

Her mom had left, and she didn’t know when Gu Kai had left either.

“I need to take a call first.”

Bai Yiyi said calmly, took out her phone, and upon seeing the caller ID, she cursed inwardly, then pressed the answer button without any change in expression and spoke calmly, “Hello?”

“Bai Yiyi, listen, even if you’re so desperate that you can’t do without a man, you can’t just cling to any man you find. I’m giving you five minutes to leave the cafe.”

Gu Kai’s mocking words came through the phone, and Bai Yiyi felt a surge of anger, her face slightly changing color. However, before she could speak, that bastard Gu Kai had hung up the call.

Taking a deep breath to herself, Bai Yiyi told herself not to stoop to Gu Kai’s level.

“Mr. Zhang, I have something to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now.”

Bai Yiyi put away her phone and said to Zhang Siming.

Zhang Siming’s face flashed with concern, “Miss Bai, is it because of what I just said? That’s truly how I feel.”

“It’s not because of that; I really do have something to handle.”

Bai Yiyi stood up holding Tongtong.

Zhang Siming reluctantly asked, “Miss Bai, could you give me your number then? I’ll take you out for a meal next time, or just recite your phone number, and I’ll call you.”

Isn’t that the same thing?

Bai Yiyi looked at Zhang Siming’s face, wanting to refuse, but Zhang Siming had already quickly taken out his phone, “Miss Bai, what’s your number?”

Bai Yiyi walked out of the coffee shop with Tongtong in her arms and saw the man leaning against the car across the street, under the sunlight, as flashy as his car beside him.

She cursed silently in her heart, yet Tongtong in her arms excitedly said, “Mommy, Daddy, find Daddy.”

“Yeah, Mommy will take you to find Daddy.”

Bai Yiyi forced a smile helplessly. No matter how much she and Gu Kai disliked each other, she couldn’t argue with him in front of Tongtong.

As she crossed the road holding Tongtong, she kept reminding herself over and over that no matter what Gu Kai said later, she had to hold back.

Gu Kai straightened up from leaning against the car, quickly changing from wild and unruly to refined and upright. Amidst Tongtong’s childlike cries, his handsome eyebrows relaxed, and his smile lit up his dark eyes, sensual and captivating.

“Tongtong, let Daddy hold you.”

Gu Kai stepped forward, reaching out his hand.

Tongtong immediately stretched out her arms, leaning forward to pounce into them.

Bai Yiyi had no choice but to let go and allow Gu Kai to take Tongtong into his arms.

“How was it, did you have a nice chat with Mr. Zhang?”

Gu Kai asked casually, with a hint of an ambiguous smile on his lips.

Bai Yiyi frowned; she couldn’t get angry in front of Tongtong, but she could glare fiercely at Gu Kai when Tongtong wasn’t looking.

“Ha ha!”

Instead of getting angry, Gu Kai laughed, holding Tongtong and returned to the front of the car, opening the door and placing her in the driver’s seat, “Tongtong, do you want Daddy to take you to the amusement park to ride the carousel and bumper cars?”

“Carousel, bumper cars.”

Tongtong clapped her little hands joyfully; she loved it the most.

Seeing Tongtong’s happy face, Gu Kai’s heart instantly softened to a mush, and his intention to mock Bai Yiyi faded away.

Turning to her, he spoke with a rare pleasant tone, “Get in the car. We’re taking Tongtong to the amusement park today. Tongtong hasn’t had fun with both Daddy and Mommy together before.”

“Don’t you have work today?”

Bai Yiyi asked, puzzled. Wasn’t he busy all 365 days of the year?

Gu Kai shook his head with a smile, “No work today. Mo Xiuchen called this morning; he’s rented out the entire amusement park, and Tongtong’s little brothers and sisters are going too.”

“Ranran and the others are going too?” Bai Yiyi appeared surprised.

“Mhm.”

Gu Kai took Tongtong out of the driver’s seat, walked around the car, got in, and said to Bai Yiyi standing outside, “I’ll hold Tongtong, you drive.”

“Why should I be the one to drive?”

Bai Yiyi asked with a slight frown between her brows.

Gu Kai said proudly, “Because you currently don’t have the strength to hold Tongtong.”
