Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 230: Chapter 194: Rising Phase: 30

At night, Zhou Yun bumped into Su Yan in the corridor.

She remembered that the last time she was preparing to record ”Geology Talk,” she also met Su Yan in the corridor, and they had a conflict.

At that time, who would have thought that they would soon be collaborating on a TV series.

Su Yan’s expression was naturally not very good when she saw her, to put it accurately, her face soured immediately, without any attempt to hide it.

Zhou Yun, out of courtesy, still prepared to greet her, but Su Yan didn’t say a word and just passed by.

Apparently, she had no intention to greet her.

Su Yan treated her as if she was air.

Zheng Xiaojue complained indignantly: ”She really has no manners, I greet her, and she acts as if she didn’t see it, how did such people become popular?”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”Don’t worry about how she became popular.”

Zheng Xiaojue: ”Su Yan’s assistant has been telling a lot of people in the production team that you are very difficult to work with, saying you are very troublesome and arrogant. Someone asked me if it was true, and only then I knew, Sister Xiao Yun, she went too far, shouldn’t we fight back?”

Zhou Yun asked, ”How do we fight back?”

Zheng Xiaojue bluntly said: ”Cuss back.”

”Wouldn’t that be acting like a shrew yelling in the street?” Zhou Yun curled her lips and chuckled, ”Xiaoju, what I dislike the most is to argue like shrews.”

”But...”

”Since she let her assistant spread rumors in the production team that I am difficult and arrogant, let everyone see for themselves who is really difficult to deal with,” Zhou Yun said. ”After all, I am not the difficult one.”

Zheng Xiaojue’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”Sister Xiao Yun, are you suggesting I tell everyone about Su Yan pretending to be sick and not shooting on the ’Heart Inquiry’ set?” Zheng Xiaojue asked.

”That’s not what I mean,” Zhou Yun said with an amused expression, ”Forget it, Xiaoju, don’t do anything, there’s no need, we’re only recording four episodes, and after that, we’re done.”

Zheng Xiaojue even felt somewhat disappointed.

The next day, the program officially started recording.

Zhou Yun and Su Yan, as popular celebrities and female guests, were naturally pushed to the center spot by others.

The two stood shoulder to shoulder, and Su Yan very deliberately moved a bit to the side, seemingly not wanting to have any physical contact with Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun was a bit speechless.

At least during ”Heart Inquiry” shooting, Su Yan wouldn’t blatantly show her displeasure in front of others.

Did she feel it was okay to do this in ”Geology Talk” production setting?

Was there no one here she needed to worry about?

Or was it that, no matter what, she was confident that in this place, her actions wouldn’t be exposed?

Numerous thoughts flashed through Zhou Yun’s mind in an instant.

Once recording began, according to the procedure, everyone would start checking in at each spot pre-scanned by the production team.

This is a city exploration themed program, sometimes involving scripted character roles, sometimes outdoor games, but this episode was very simple – the eight celebrity guests were divided into four groups by drawing lots, competing to see who could complete the tasks and check in at all points first.

The lottery segment.

Everyone began jokingly telling the camera who they wanted to team up with.

Zhou Yun looked around, among the seven other celebrity guests, she only had contact with Su Yan.

The others were just names she had heard, but people she didn’t actually know.

But it didn’t matter, the drawing of lots had already been arranged. The person who was to be paired with Zhou Yun in this episode was called Liu Haiyu, who had acted in many TV dramas, but in recent years, for various reasons, had not been filming much and was mainly appearing in various variety shows.

Liu Haiyu was also a regular guest on ”Geology Talk.”

According to the original script design, it should have been Su Yan who first expressed the wish to team up with Liu Haiyu, then Liu Haiyu would show aversion to Su Yan, and afterward express a desire to team up with Zhou Yun, eventually getting his wish in the drawing of lots segment.

But Su Yan kept chatting with Wei Chen, her original intended teammate, seeming to completely forget about this segment.

Behind the camera, the assistant director looked worried and asked Gan Bida, ”Director, Su Yan seems to have forgotten the script. She has not been following the script, what should we do?”

Gan Bida covered his face with his hand, sighed, and said, ”It’s not that she forgot the script, she just doesn’t want to lift Zhou Yun’s sedan chair.”

Generally speaking, in a variety show, regular guests are the hosts, and visiting guests are the guests. To highlight the visiting guests, or to show importance to them, the regular guests are arranged to play the role of the ’green leaves’ to accentuate the visiting guests.

When discussing the script with Su Yan before, she had not raised any objections to this part.

Surprisingly, although Su Yan had not verbally objected, she was unwilling to cooperate during the actual filming.

Gan Bida rubbed his forehead, troubled, unsure whether he should remind Su Yan.

Shooting a variety show is different from shooting a film; there’s not necessarily a ”cut,” as the cameras keep rolling continuously, capturing all material and sending it to the control room to select appropriate content for the final product.

Reminding Su Yan wasn’t difficult, but the troubling part was that Gan Bida didn’t know how she would react after he spoke up.

Would she simply act as if she didn’t hear?

Su Yan is a popular celebrity, if she really disregarded him in such a manner on set, there was nothing he could do.

After all, he was newly appointed.

While hesitating, all of a sudden, Gan Bida heard Su Yan’s joyful voice, asking, ”Aren’t we supposed to draw lots? Let’s draw quickly!”

Gan Bida had already missed the best opportunity to speak, so he had to temporarily skip that part of the script and arranged for the eight celebrity guests to draw lots.

The eight celebrity guests already knew who they would be teaming up with before the recording, but they still had to pretend for the camera.

”Oh!” Su Yan let out a surprised shriek, saying, ”Wei Chen, I also drew number 3, I got you!”

Wei Chen looked ecstatic and asked, ”Really?”

”Of course, it’s true!” said Su Yan, ”That’s awesome!”

Two people drawing the same number would team up.

Zhou Yun went to draw her lot.

”I got number 4!” she lifted the piece of paper she drew, showing it to the camera.

Unsurprisingly, after a while, Liu Haiyu also drew number 4.

After filming the drawing of lots, the real task began.

Each of the four teams drew lots to obtain the first clue.

Zhou Yun’s lot gave a clue saying ”Seaside Moonlight.”

She took it to discuss with Liu Haiyu.

”What could this place be?” Zhou Yun asked.

Liu Haiyu said, ”According to the production team’s habit, this probably refers to a famous spot in City C.”

Zhou Yun immediately took out her phone and searched the keywords ”City C” and ”Seaside Moonlight.”

”Director, Zhou Yun is cheating!” Su Yan’s voice suddenly rang out loudly.
