Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 207: Chapter 175: Rise: 11

Even with a dozen bodyguards protecting her, Zhou Yun was still surrounded when she entered the mall.

Not all of Zhou Yun’s fans, a lot of onlookers, holding their mobile phones, some even live-streaming the scene.

Zhou Yun was still not quite used to scenes like this, only able to wear sunglasses and bow her head to pass through. Before she became an artist, when Zhou Yun saw similar scenes, she thought celebrities were just putting on airs by wearing sunglasses and acting as if they were ignorant, as if the world had nothing to do with them. But now Zhou Yun felt that this attitude might not be for show, but instead gave her a sense of security. With so many people and so much noise, deliberately ignoring it all made her feel slightly relaxed.

The mall was opening, and Zhou Yun first went into the rest area.

The boss came in first to chat and take a photo with Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun naturally cooperated.

After a while, it was Zhou Yun’s turn to appear, and she was guided onto the stage by the staff.

As she got on stage, she saw a dense crowd of people, a surge of noise erupted, and some were holding banners in support of Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun was somewhat dazed, not knowing if these people were truly her fans or extras arranged by the mall.

The host had finished introducing her and asked her to greet everyone.

Zhou Yun greeted everyone, her smile sweet and full of sunshine.

A wave of cheers rose from the audience.

According to the script written at the beginning, after interacting with the host, Zhou Yun would sing a song, then draw lots to invite guests onto the stage to play a game with her, and finally, Zhou Yun would draw three lucky audience members to win a grand prize, ending her work.

Zhou Yun cooperated very well.

During the singing, the environment was actually quite noisy, not everyone would quietly listen to her sing.

But Zhou Yun still had to sing as if nobody was around, also interacting with the audience below.

Drawing lots to pick lucky audience members to come up and play the game, that segment had a lot of enthusiastic people, each of them looking up eagerly, listening to the host announce numbers, to see if the called number belonged to them.

A total of five lucky audience members came up to play games with Zhou Yun on stage.

The game was simple, musical chairs.

Different prizes were given depending on the ranking.

The grand prize was a television.

Zhou Yun was wearing high heels, not quite suitable for this game, and the host also whispered to her, suggesting she just go through the motions.

But Zhou Yun insisted until the third round before being eliminated.

She let out a sigh and stepped aside, waited until the last person was left and the winner was decided.

Zhou Yun participated throughout, occasionally joining the audience in gasps of surprise or cheers of celebration.

Even the mall owner in the audience was surprised, not expecting Zhou Yun’s high level of cooperation.

In the last segment, Zhou Yun was to draw three more lucky audience members to win the grand prize.

As the lucky audience members were drawn, many voiced their disappointment with sighs.

The work was coming to an end.

Finally, a photo to commemorate the event.

Zhou Yun, the host, and the lucky audience members all turned their backs to the camera, and the photographer took a large group photo on stage.

The incident occurred at this moment.

Someone suddenly bypassed security, rushed onto the stage, and furiously yelled: ”Zhou Yun, you homewrecker, you’ve meddled in someone else’s relationship!”

The man’s shout was heart-wrenching, and the whole place was stunned, followed by a commotion after a brief silence.

Zhou Yun didn’t even have time to react, just froze for a moment.

The fastest to react was the host, who quickly stood between the man who rushed onto the stage and Zhou Yun.

”Security!” the host shouted.

The security guards finally reacted, amidst the chaos, they rushed onto the stage and grabbed the man.

”Zhou Yun, homewrecker!”

”Shameless!”

...

Zhou Yun was completely confused, unable to respond.

Suddenly, Zheng Xiaojue rushed onstage, put her arm around Zhou Yun’s shoulders, and said: ”Sister Xiao Yun, let’s go down.”

Zhou Yun was escorted down the stage by Zheng Xiaojue.

Almost everyone had their mobile phones out, capturing the scene.

The host tried to control the situation: ”Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry that such a lunatic has affected everyone’s mood, thank you Miss Zhou Yun for bringing us this performance and joy, folks, please focus back on me, everyone put down your phones, that man just spewed some nonsense without any evidence, we can’t help him in his wrongdoing...”

Back in the rest area, Zhou Yun finally came to her senses.

Zheng Xiaojue squatted in front of Zhou Yun, looking at her worriedly and asked softly: ”Sister Xiao Yun, are you okay?”

Zhou Yun was just startled, she shook her head and said, ”I’m fine.”

The mall owner hurried over, apologizing as soon as he entered, saying their security was lax, allowing someone to rush onto the stage.

Zhou Yun came to her senses, but knew this matter had nothing to do with the mall owner.

It was a continuation of the events that happened last night.

Someone was deliberately making a big deal out of it, intending to embarrass her in such a public setting, making it impossible for her to do PR.

Leaving the mall, Zhou Yun got in the car and returned to Shanghai.

Xiao Cao was driving, Zheng Xiaojue sat in front, both of them were silent.

It was unusually quiet in the car.

Zhou Lan called, urging: ”Zhou Yun, don’t think about anything right now, don’t even look at your phone, understand? Somebody is trying to slander you deliberately, rest assured, we will not let such groundless smearing succeed!”

Zhou Yun’s tone was very calm, as if unaffected, and said: ”Sister Lan, don’t worry, I understand.”

Zhou Lan said: ”The company’s official Weibo has already issued a statement in a timely manner, you don’t speak up for now, regarding this matter, especially that man, we will sue him!”

Zhou Yun: ”Okay.”

”I still have some urgent matters to deal with here, after you return to Shanghai, come straight to the company,” Zhou Lan said, ”Your apartment’s address has been leaked, there are probably many reporters staking out the entrance to your apartment building.”

Zhou Yun’s brows instantly furrowed.

”My apartment address has been leaked?”

”Yes, someone has exposed the residential complex you live in online; actually, it wasn’t too secret before but it had never garnered attention, this matter has now caused quite an uproar online, and reporters have caught wind of it.”

”I understand, I’ll come directly to the company.”

She hung up the call.

Zhou Yun tossed her phone aside, turned to look out of the car window, the fleeting lights flying by her vision.

Her face was expressionless, but her mind was a tangled mess.

The recent event occurred in just an instant, but now, it seemed to be replaying in slow motion, stretched out.

Amidst the chaos, every person in the mall took out their phones, aiming at her.

— You’re a mistress.

— You interfered with someone else’s relationship.

These words still echoed in her ears.

Zhou Yun’s eyes darkened, she picked up her phone that she had tossed aside earlier, logged onto Weibo, typed fiercely on the screen, and published a post:

I fucked your mother’s meddling!
