The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 443: Chapter 443: Why Should I Help You If You Won’t Help Me?_1

Carson Flores once again tossed the bodies of the other two Great Grandmasters down the cliff, then he tore off the earpiece around his neck and threw it down as well.

Carson didn’t linger any further and turned to dash into the jungle.

Although he was certain that the Vasquez Family wouldn’t be able to dispatch a second helicopter or provide additional support for the time being, Carson chose to retreat immediately.

It was like both sides playing chess, the Vasquez Family had miscalculated in the first round, underestimating his hidden force, which led to a disastrous defeat. However, if he didn’t flee quickly, when the second wave arrived, since his ace had already been exposed, the second onslaught would be overwhelming and he would inevitably be doomed to defeat in the face of the second wave of attacks.

Two hours later, Carson was driving a red Ferrari on a secluded path.

”I’m grateful for today, wait for my call.”

Sitting in the passenger seat was a white-haired woman, who was none other than Rocky Stein, the Innate Great Grandmaster of the Divine Cloudy Sect, who had previously become an enemy of Carson.

Rocky Stein snorted coldly, ”They didn’t send an Innate Great Grandmaster today, but you should still count this as a move on my part!”

Carson smiled and said, ”Of course, no problem!”

Seeing Carson agree so readily, Rocky Stein’s stern face relaxed slightly.

As an Innate Great Grandmaster, being summoned to Xi Jing by a mere phone call from Carson, to say she felt no discontent would be impossible.

But she had no choice but to agree – if Carson had perished, she would have been doomed too.

Carson, seeing the displeasure on Rocky Stein’s face, spoke up, ”You saw my fight with Dax Vasquez. Ranked first or second among the Vasquez Family’s Great Grandmasters, he was still not my match. Therefore, it’s inevitable that I will become an Innate Great Grandmaster, and it won’t take long.”

”Once I become an Innate Great Grandmaster, dealing with the Vasquez Family or similar forces will mostly not require anyone else’s help. Your value to me will significantly decrease, so by helping me now, you’re essentially helping yourself. After all, with our relationship, if you don’t help me, why should I help you?”

Rocky Stein’s face remained impassive and she did not utter a word.

Although it was somewhat humiliating for her, an Innate Great Grandmaster, to be constrained by someone and become the enforcer for a young man whose power was lesser than hers, she could not deny the truth in Carson’s words.

Carson, so young yet already a Grandmaster, advancing to Innate Great Grandmaster or even further, seems not just possible but inevitable.

Carson’s breakthrough to Great Grandmaster had completely overwhelmed Nash Acedvedo, who had been a Grandmaster for many years, which gives an idea of how high Carson’s potential and peak could be?

Perhaps, after stepping into the realm of Innate Great Grandmaster, he could overpower other Innate Great Grandmasters. By then, even if she wanted to help, he wouldn’t need her at all.

Because the things she could do, he could easily accomplish by himself.

Realms are merely a generalization of a qualitative change to a certain degree, but the variables within are completely different.

Simply put, if we use numbers to represent Combat Power, the Inner Qi realm has a Combat Power of 1-10, which has a small range of difference, so the disparity between Cultivators isn’t too big. But the range for a Grandmaster’s Combat Power could be 10-100, and even larger for a Great Grandmaster, potentially reaching 100-1000.

The higher the realm, the larger the discrepancy between upper and lower limits.

The 100-1000 Combat Power of a Great Grandmaster doesn’t mean everyone who enters the Great Grandmaster level starts at 100 and the peak is always 1000. It merely indicates that the lowest threshold to become a Great Grandmaster is 100, and the upper limit of high Combat Power can reach 1000.

For example, when Nash Acedvedo became a Great Grandmaster, his Combat Power might have been 150; through years of grueling cultivation, it reached 400. If things went well, he could potentially reach 600, then achieve a Breakthrough to Innate Great Grandmaster. But when Carson stepped into Great Grandmaster, his starting Combat Power was already 500. Due to this high starting point, he could potentially reach the height of 1000 before moving into the next realm.

People are different.

Great Grandmasters are also different.

Today’s battle once more updated Rocky Stein’s assessment of Carson’s Combat Power.

Rocky Stein could swear that compared to the Southwest Association meeting, Carson’s strength had definitely surged significantly!

How much time had passed?

As Rocky Stein unfastened her seatbelt and prepared to get out of the car, she couldn’t help but ask, ”May I inquire why your strength has skyrocketed so much in this short period?”

Carson answered frankly, ”I took a Shen Yuan Elixir, and then focused on cultivating with the help of elixirs for half a month.”

”Shen Yuan Elixir!”

Rocky Stein’s eyes widened abruptly, ”Where did you get a Shen Yuan Elixir?”

As an Innate Great Grandmaster, Rocky Stein naturally knew of the miraculous Shen Yuan Elixir, and because she knew of its wonders, she was even more curious about how Carson had one.

Even the Divine Cloudy Sect might not be able to obtain a Shen Yuan Elixir!

Carson smiled and said, ”At the Southwest Association meeting, I saved a little girl who fell from a building while I was taking a walk. The elixir was a thank-you gift from her mother...”

Rocky Stein’s eyes suddenly widened, ”The mother and daughter you’re talking about, do they live in the innermost house by the waterfall in the holiday mansion?”
