The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 442: Chapter 442 Oh, is there something you want to tell me?_1

Dax Vasquez looked at the smiling Carson Flores, a heart plunging into an icy abyss.

He had been careless.

After the Vasquez Family confirmed the death of Santino Vasquez and three others, they had suspected that Carson Flores had help in the shadows and had reported it to the Innate Grandmaster presiding over the Vasquez Family.

However, the subsequent investigation proved that all the actions were taken by the same person, all by Carson Flores, and investigations into his past also revealed that he was indeed a Great Grandmaster, capable of cleanly and efficiently killing Great Grandmasters, like Nash Acedvedo.

With these investigation results, the Vasquez Family confirmed Flores acted alone, without any help, and thus devised the plan for five Great Grandmasters to first challenge then ambush and kill him.

In the eyes of the Vasquez Family, five Great Grandmasters ambushing one Great Grandmaster, in a desolate wilderness with cliffs blocking the path and a helicopter cutting off the skies, Carson Flores would have no chance of escape.

Yet, to their surprise, an Innate Grandmaster now stood beside Carson Flores, overpowering and annihilating; first taking down the helicopter and a Great Grandmaster, then covertly initiating a clean sweep of three more Great Grandmasters, leaving only himself severely injured!

Despair filled Dax Vasquez’s heart.

Dax Vasquez watched Carson Flores approach and hurriedly spoke up, ”The Vasquez Family is willing to negotiate. Grudges ultimately need resolution, you surely can’t intend to slaughter the entire Vasquez Family, can you? Our Innate Grandmasters are still out there!”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Yes, your usual tricks, talk first, then send masters to surround and kill. If you hadn’t made a misjudgment today, your Innate Grandmasters would have made their move by now, wouldn’t they?”

Carson Flores had anticipated that the Vasquez Family wouldn’t deploy an Innate Grandmaster, which is why he took a risk, setting up this trap and waiting for the Vasquez Family to fall into it.

Of course, even if the Vasquez Family had deployed an Innate Grandmaster, Carson Flores wasn’t worried; he had also hidden a parachute in the forest, so once the helicopter was down, the thousand-foot cliff would become his perfect escape route. Even an Innate Grandmaster could only sigh in frustration from the top of the cliff.

Dax Vasquez was consumed by an irrevocable regret. Had he known earlier, would they not have secured victory today by directly deploying an Innate Grandmaster?

Even if the enemy had an Innate Grandmaster, their Innate Grandmaster could have tied down the enemy, while he and his men took down Carson Flores, right? How clean and efficient that would have been!

Alas, there is no medicine for regret in this world.

”Even if you have an Innate Grandmaster helping you, you still cannot be a match for the Vasquez Family...”

Dax Vasquez was still trying to persuade Carson Flores, but Flores no longer wanted to listen and cut him off coldly, ”If what happened between Santino Vasquez and me was a personal grudge, then the moment your Vasquez Family’s Great Grandmaster took action, it became a grudge between me and the Vasquez Family. Either the Vasquez Family or I must kneel or die; there is no third option...”

Carson Flores glanced at Dax Vasquez, emotionlessly uttering the final sentence.

”Having killed so many already, I don’t mind killing one more. Just kill him.”

Dax Vasquez’s eyes widened dramatically; he wanted to say something, but the figure clad in black behind him had already charged forward without a sound, slamming a palm into his chest.

Dax Vasquez’s arms, raised in defense, instantly broke, his entire chest caved in, and he was sent flying backward, hitting a large tree, then rebounding back with blood spilling from the corners of his mouth.

Dax Vasquez struggled to lift his head, looking at Carson Flores approaching, his eyes filled with despair and regret.

How unwilling he was to accept this!

Dax Vasquez fell to the forest floor, gasping for breath, but unable to move.

Carson Flores crouched beside Dax Vasquez, ripped off his earpiece, and put it on his own ear, and also pulled out the microphone hidden under his collar.

Carson Flores picked up Dax Vasquez and another body, walking back towards the previous cliffside, while calmly speaking into the microphone.

”Hello, hello...”

From the earpiece came an old, chilling voice, ”Carson Flores?”

”Yeah, it’s me. Who is this?”

”Frank Vasquez.”

Carson Flores casually responded, ”There are just too many people in the Vasquez Family, I can’t keep track of who’s who. Great Grandmaster, Innate Grandmaster?”

”I am Santino Vasquez’s grandfather.”

Carson Flores suddenly realized, ”Oh, got it. Do you have something you want to say to me?”

Frank Vasquez was seething with anger at the other end, Carson Flores’s questioning tone was calm, yet it was laced with massive mockery.

Out of the nine Great Grandmasters of the Vasquez Family, six were now dead, all either directly or indirectly by Carson Flores’s hands.

Asking calmly after killing your kin, is there something you want to say to me?

Isn’t that ironic?

Isn’t it a slap in the face?

I’ve killed your people, and I’m still alive and well; what can you possibly do to me?

After taking a deep breath, Frank Vasquez said, ”Carson Flores, you won’t be able to run. The Vasquez Family will hunt you down to the ends of the earth!”

Carson Flores, arriving at the edge of the cliff and looking down at the wrecked helicopter, replied with a smile, ”You’re thinking too much. I never planned on running. Isn’t our game just beginning?”

Carson Flores raised his left hand, staring into the despair-filled eyes of Dax Vasquez, ”Dax Vasquez, is there anything else you’d like to say?”

Dax Vasquez, knowing death was inevitable, glared at Carson Flores with a venomous look, ”I’ll be waiting for you down there, you won’t get away!”

”Alright, you wait all you want,” replied Carson Flores.

After saying that, he dropped Dax Vasquez off the cliff, while Dax’s uncontrollable screams of fear echoed in midair.

Carson Flores also threw the body he was carrying with his right hand down the cliff, speaking calmly, ”Oh, and remember to send someone to collect the bodies. From such a high cliff, the fall probably scatters the body. Bring a shovel, as I’m not sure you’ll be able to pick them up otherwise...”
