The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 425: Chapter 425: How Could I Possibly Hit Him?_1

Nathaniel Frost looked at the man in front of him with a stiff expression and his gaze filled with confusion.

This person looks somewhat familiar.

A friend of Carson Flores?

Nathaniel glanced at the smiling Carson, then again fixed his gaze on the man’s face, only to realize that in just a short span of time, the man’s face had become rife with horror, as if an Evil Ghost was standing in front of him demanding his life.

Just when Nathaniel was puzzling over the situation, the man seemed to suddenly snap back to reality, panicked, he pushed away the woman next to him and turned tail, disappeared around the corner of the shopping mall in the blink of an eye.

This scene left Nathaniel staring in stunned silence, utterly baffled.

What’s going on?

To actually abandon his companion and take off running?

Lillian Frost curiously asked, ”What happened, Cousin, do you know him?”

Carson himself hadn’t expected Santino Vasquez’s reaction to be so extreme. This was a mall after all, bustling with people; he couldn’t do anything to him, yet he was scared off just like that.

Maybe he’s afraid I’d put the hit on him?

Despite coming from a good family, Santino Vasquez wasn’t cut out for Cultivation, he was just an ordinary person, and for a powerful Cultivator, killing an ordinary man silently would indeed be too easy.

Carson answered, ”I know him, he once went to Seashore, and we had a bit of a disagreement. I didn’t expect to run into him here. Probably thought I would beat him up, that’s why he ran away.”

A bit of a disagreement?

After listening, Nathaniel initially didn’t take it to heart, but after taking a step, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

That man’s surname is Vasquez?

Vasquez... Santino?

A name suddenly flashed in Nathaniel’s mind, along with a memory from the time he accompanied his boss on a business trip.

The business negotiation was with one of the top three communication tycoons in the country, the Vasquez Family. Three representatives from the Vasquez Family came, the Family Head Francis Vasquez, a secretary, and a young man. At the time, Francis Vasquez introduced him as his nephew, Santino Vasquez, taking him out to get a glimpse of the world and to learn a bit.

The Vasquez Family of Western Capital, Santino Vasquez?

There are countless powerful households in the Western Capital, but the Vasquez Family is certainly one with strength. Even if it’s not at the very top, it definitely counts as a first-tier household. As a disciple favored and supported by the Family Head, Santino Vasquez’s status might not compare to that of the family heir, but he was definitely one of the individuals prioritized for grooming by the Vasquez Family.

Such a person, upon seeing Carson, got so scared that he turned and ran?

Unbelievable!

Fearful of Carson beating him up, so he ran away?

Even though Santino Vasquez wasn’t a Cultivator, he was a Vasquez Family disciple with the Vasquez Family backing him; was he that scared?

Nathaniel didn’t believe a single syllable of what Carson said.

Nathaniel turned with a smile and said, ”This person is from the communication giant, the Vasquez Family, right? What did he do to offend you, Cousin, to scare him so much that he ran off, even leaving his female companion behind?”

Carson looked at Nathaniel with a natural smile, ”You know him?”

Nathaniel answered, ”I’ve seen him once when I was accompanying the boss to negotiate business with the Vasquez Family. He was introduced as the nephew of the Family Head, and I guess he’s involved in the family’s communication sector now.”

Carson let out an ”Oh,” ”That should be him then. He indeed works in the communication sector.”

Is that it?

Nathaniel didn’t hear what he wanted to hear and pressed on, ”Cousin, the disagreement with him doesn’t seem minor. The guy is from the Vasquez Family; even if he himself isn’t a Cultivator and doesn’t dare to confront you directly, what if he comes looking for trouble later?”

Carson laughed, ”It’s nothing serious, it shouldn’t come to that. He’s just a guilty conscience on his part. Look at all these people around us, could I even hit him?”

After thinking for a moment, Nathaniel seriously said, ”I’ll give you my older brother’s phone number in a bit. If this guy gives you any trouble, don’t try to tough it out alone. Invoke the Frost Family’s name and call my brother. The Vasquez Family might be powerful, but my Frost Family isn’t weak either.”

Carson was slightly taken aback, then smiled, ”Okay, if there’s any trouble, I’ll call right away.”

Samantha Tate watched their exchange, her lips curling into a light smile.

Carson would call for help?

Impossible!

He’s a Great Grandmaster!

On his journey here, he had even hammered the Divine Cloudy Sect, a powerhouse in its own right. An Innate Grandmaster was forced to kneel before him in front of hundreds. Would he fear the Vasquez Family?

Haven’t you seen Santino Vasquez turn tail and run upon seeing Carson?

One of Carson’s plans upon arriving in Western Capital was to take care of Santino Vasquez, but that now seemed unlikely to be easy. However, there hadn’t been any easy tasks for Carson to begin with, so he wasn’t concerned about adding one more to that list.

In Samantha’s eyes, Carson was invincible!

With just one glance into Carson’s eyes, Samantha knew Nathaniel’s words had struck a chord in him.

Nathaniel offering help meant the Frost Family truly regarded Carson as one of their own.

Carson didn’t care about gaining anything from the Frost Family; he had come without any expectations. But now, it seemed everything was evolving in a positive direction.

Lillian watched Samantha’s smile, feeling envious. Every smile and frown was so perfect, so womanly!

She had thought herself quite pretty, but next to Samantha, she felt like an ugly duckling.

Clinging to Samantha’s arm, Lillian looked forward with anticipation, ”Sister-in-law, we have a cultural performance at our school next Monday, and I’m in one of the acts. Will you and Cousin come watch me perform, please?”
