The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 413: Chapter 413 He Comes from Mount Kahdas_1

Carson Flores’s heart leaped with joy, and he asked hastily, ”Where is my father’s family from?”

”Don’t know!”

Dawson Frost answered stiffly, then immediately felt that his tone was inappropriate to Carson and softened his voice, ”Kid, I’m not trying to fob you off, we really don’t know where your father’s family is from. All he ever mentioned was that he came from Mount Kahdas, and beyond that, he never revealed anything else.”

Carson asked with confusion, ”Then what did you mean when you said it’s not a place ordinary people can go to? What does that mean?”

Dawson Frost glanced at Carson and sighed, ”There are some places in this world only very powerful cultivators can reach, places ordinary people can’t go to. Your father had an extraordinary background, and it’s likely he came from such a place. That’s exactly why we tried to stop your mother from falling in love with him back then, because they were essentially people from two different worlds.”

”Your mother was stubborn and wouldn’t listen to our advice, insisting on being with your father. She even ran away from home, and you know the result, she and your father disappeared, leaving you behind. Those two didn’t even care for their own child. If I ever see them again, I’ll give them a thrashing!”

Mount Kahdas?

The first words that popped into Carson’s mind were... The Unknown Land?

Could it be that his father was from the mysterious Unknown Land?

After his father was injured, that mysterious woman who suddenly appeared, was she also from the same place, and then took them both back to the Unknown Land?

Perhaps they had suffered severe injuries and died, or perhaps for some reason, they could no longer come out. Carson preferred to believe the latter.

Ella Walters tugged at Dawson Frost, ”Why say all this in front of the child? Little Carson is a kind and loyal kid, and Lucy really liked the child too. If there wasn’t some difficulty, how could they abandon their child? Who would want to be separated from their flesh and blood?”

By this point, Carson had pretty much figured out what had happened back then.

His father, Westin Flores’s origins were a mystery, suspected to be from The Unknown Land. Dawson Frost felt that he and his daughter, Lucy Frost, were people from different worlds, so he disapproved of their relationship. But his mother, Lucy, was stubborn and simply ran off with his father to elope.

By doing so, they vanished from the face of the earth.

Perhaps in their initial thoughts, having their daughter and son-in-law run off, they might have been acting out of spite, hence never returning home nor contacting home, leading their own lives elsewhere. Yet it wasn’t until today when he showed up at their doorstep that they realized that their family of three was separated.

Although Dawson Frost’s tone was harsh, one could still hear the love he held for Lucy, such anger might stem from deep love, and profound hatred.

Ella Walters, meanwhile, embodied the image of a doting mother, unconditionally on her daughter’s side. Although it was evident that she was also heartbroken, she still made excuses for her daughter and son-in-law.

Carson hesitated for a moment but eventually spoke up, ”According to my master, initially my parents just asked him to take care of me temporarily because they ran into trouble, but later they were seriously injured and were taken away by someone my father knew...”

Carson didn’t actually know the truth even now, but he instinctively said so.

As expected, at Carson’s words, Dawson Frost and Ella Walters immediately became anxious.

”Injured? Are they alright?”

”What happened?”

Carson shook his head, ”I don’t know. When I returned from my military service, I never saw my master again, just a message he left me. He’s missing, and I can’t find him, but I think it must be okay, otherwise, my master would have told me straight out.”

Ella Walters began to wipe her tears again, ”I said they weren’t heartless. So many years have passed, and they never once saw their child; there must be a reason. I wonder how they are now...”

Dawson Frost frowned and said, ”If they were truly taken back, it wouldn’t be easy to come out again. Little Carson said it himself, they can’t just come and go as they please. Perhaps that’s why they haven’t come to fetch the child all this time.”

Ella Walters reached out and took Carson’s hand, ”Child, tell your grandmother how you’ve been all these years?”

Carson smiled, ”My master was pretty good to me. Although times were tough, there was food to eat, I wasn’t left cold or hungry, and I got an education. Later, I spent a few years as a soldier, and then I worked for a while. It’s been alright.”

Dawson Frost asked, ”Being a soldier is not bad, it’s quite challenging. What kind of work did you do?”

Carson replied with a candid expression, ”I started off doing sales at a pharmaceutical company, then later worked as a security guard at a pharmaceutical factory...”

Ella Walters immediately showed a pained expression, ”Those kinds of jobs are tough. If your master knew about your background, why didn’t he send you back to the Frost family? That way, you wouldn’t have had to suffer so much. It’s good that you’ve come back now, from now on, this is your home!”

Ella Walters turned her head and patted Leah Frost, who was curiously staring at Carson, ”Call your big brother and third brother. Tell them to come home for dinner tonight; their nephew is
