The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 437: Chapter 437: I Kill One a Day, That’s Enough for Quite Some Time_1

Carson Flores slept comfortably until the morning, got up, finished his personal grooming, and had breakfast.

”I’m going out for a stroll to digest my food.”

Carson left the villa before he took out his cell phone and powered it on.

There were four missed calls, all from the same number, at four o’clock in the morning, four-thirty, eight-thirty, and nine.

Carson smiled. This must be the Vasquez Family, right?

Unable to find my whereabouts, they resorted to calling me?

The red Ferrari I was driving, though eye-catching, was not uncommon in Seashore. I had covered up the license plate, so they had no way to start searching.

As for digging up my background?

I hardly have any background to dig up. Samantha Tate was by my side, and I didn’t even know where Shirley Miller had gone—if they could find any of that, it would be weird.

As long as I don’t get mixed up with the Frost Family, I’m a free-moving, ruthless Great Grandmaster at this moment—who am I to fear?

Carson sat down on a bench by the lake in the residential area, quietly waiting.

Fifteen minutes later, the phone rang again.

It was still that unfamiliar number.

Carson answered the phone, ”Who is this?”

”Esteban Vasquez, Santino Vasquez’s seventeenth uncle.”

Carson laughed, ”Have you found the person?”

There was a pause on Esteban’s side; he apparently hadn’t expected Carson to ask right away if he had found the person who died, which was quite arrogant!

”We found them, Carson. You’re ruthless. Four men killed cleanly by your hand!”

Carson laughed, ”Don’t tell me you don’t know what Santino Vasquez had in mind when he invited me out to settle scores. What, only your Vasquez Family is allowed to kill others, and no one else is allowed to fight back? The world isn’t surnamed Vasquez, and the words you say don’t constitute the law.”

Esteban had not expected Carson to be so defiant, showing not a trace of fear or evasion, and after two seconds of silence, he said, ”Are you preparing to go to war with my Vasquez Family?”

”Go to war?”

Carson chuckled, ”If you declare war, then let’s go to war. It’s not like your Vasquez Family is short on Grandmasters or lacks Great Grandmasters. I could kill one a day, and that would keep me busy for quite some time.”

A sense of alarm struck Esteban, damn it, he’s encountered someone who doesn’t care about his own life.

Throughout the night, in addition to fishing bodies out of the ocean, the Vasquez Family also investigated Carson, and they were shocked by what they found.

He defeated the Miller Family in Seashore, crippled Nash Acevedo, the Great Grandmaster of the Acevedo Family at the Southwest Conference, stood up against the Divine Cloudy Sect and forced their Innate Grandmaster to kneel in public...

Great Grandmaster Carson!

He may not be an Innate Grandmaster, but he is a Great Grandmaster who can defeat a Great Grandmaster!

Members of the Vasquez Family suddenly felt a twinge in their teeth.

This guy was like a brass pea, biting down on him carelessly could easily lead to broken teeth.

If the incident from last night hadn’t happened, the Vasquez Family might have been willing to pay a price for Santino’s actions to settle the dispute, as offending such a ruthless Great Grandmaster really is quite troublesome.

Unless you can kill him with one strike, his retaliation could be more than you can bear.

However, with the death of a Great Grandmaster and two Grandmasters in the Vasquez Family the previous night, if they kept quiet, the news spreading would turn them into a laughingstock, faceless in the public eye and no longer feared.

Blood can be spilled, people can die, but the family’s honor must not be lost!

After digging up Carson’s background, the Vasquez Family had already urgently summoned reinforcements, calling together five Great Grandmasters and reporting to the Innate Grandmaster who was at home, preparing to encircle and kill Carson.

However formidable Carson was, as a Great Grandmaster, he couldn’t possibly stand against five other Great Grandmasters, let alone an Innate Grandmaster.

If they caught Carson, he would surely die!

The one issue now was, where was Carson?

After Carson arrived in Seashore, he stayed in a hotel the first day but then vanished.

With a population of eight million in Seashore, finding one person was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Esteban Vasquez had been calling Carson’s phone in the hope of luring him out.

”Carson, do you dare to fight a fair duel, a fight to the death, to settle our score?”

Carson raised an eyebrow, ”Who will fight?”

Esteban answered, ”Vasquez Family Great Grandmaster, Dax Vasquez!”

Carson laughed, ”A fight one-on-one, to settle all scores?”

Esteban replied gravely, ”Yes, isn’t this the fairest way to resolve our grudges?”

Carson asked, ”What if the Vasquez Family loses?”

Esteban replied readily, ”No matter win or lose, after this battle, all past grudges will be offset.”

Carson squinted his eyes and asked, ”The time and place?”

Esteban answered concisely, ”Tomorrow at noon, East Spring Mountain, at the summit.”

Carson agreed briskly, ”Okay, but there, I don’t want to see anyone else. I know your Vasquez Family is numerous...”

Esteban answered, ”Dax Vasquez will ascend the mountain alone.”

”Fine, I accept the challenge!”

Carson hung up the phone and let out a cold laugh.

Ascending the mountain alone?

No matter the outcome, all grudges are settled?

A one-on-one fight?

Do you think I would trust the integrity of your Vasquez Family?
