The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 430: Chapter 430 Are students so domineering these days?_1

”Slash him!”

The leader nodded his chin, and two of his subordinates immediately lunged towards Carson Flores.

Both these subordinates had practiced martial arts and were quite capable; one could handle two or three grown men with no trouble. As for the leader himself, he was a Cultivator who had developed Inner Qi.

The leader did not intend to take action himself, since dealing with a young man in his twenties would be no challenge for his two subordinates!

Carson Flores didn’t dodge.

The instant the first man reached out to grab Carson Flores, he countered with a backhand slap across the man’s face.

The man’s head buzzed as it was violently jerked to the side, followed by the rest of his body.

”Smack!”

The man was thrown sideways, several teeth flying from his mouth, before he collapsed on the ground, his mouth bloody and his face swollen like a pig’s head.

The second man charged in, and Carson Flores casually lifted his foot and kicked forward.

”Ah!”

The man’s legs clamped together, his face instantly turning pale as sweat beads poured down from his forehead. He fell forwards in an awkward position, landing hard on the ground.

The smug look on the leader’s face froze.

Carson Flores’s attacks, casual as they were, had incapacitated his two subordinates in the blink of an eye, making him realize the situation was not as simple as he thought.

The man was not intimidated, though, as the combat power of his two subordinates was far inferior to his own.

He was a Cultivator!

The man stepped forward and threw a punch without any flourish, intending to use brute force to overwhelm the young man and leave him no chance to retaliate.

Carson Flores extended his hand and caught the leader’s fist.

The man felt as if his punch had landed on a sponge, with no feedback. When he tried to pull back his fist, Carson Flores tightened his grip, then lifted his wrist and pressed down with his fingers.

The man’s wrist visibly began to bend at an alarming speed. Panicking, he tried to retract his fist, to no avail; his wrist continued to bend.

In an attempt to relieve the pressure, the man’s body involuntarily bent forward until, with a thud, he was kneeling before Carson Flores.

He had hit an iron wall!

Even if the man were hardheaded, he could tell from the way Carson Flores effortlessly caught his punch that not only was he a Cultivator, but also a skilled martial artist.

Damn it, Layne Reid, you’ve screwed me over!

”Thud”

The man knelt before Carson Flores, no longer concerned about losing face, and quickly begged for mercy, ”Big brother, I was wrong, spare me, and I’ll get out of here immediately.”

Carson Flores said nothing, but his hand continued to press down, twisting the man’s body along with the motion. It wasn’t long before the man couldn’t hold back any longer and began to scream in agony.

”I’m sorry, big brother, I was wrong!”

”Please spare me, it wasn’t intentional.”

”Ah!”

As Carson Flores kept pressing down on the man’s wrist, it couldn’t bear the force any longer, and with a snap, it broke amidst the man’s fearful gaze and screams.

With a piercing cry, the man collapsed like a heap of mud, unable to endure the severe pain, and begged, ”Big brother, I’m sorry, it was Layne Reid who told us to mess with you, we were just the runners...”

Carson Flores paused, having assumed they were just local thugs asserting their dominance. He hadn’t anticipated that someone else was pulling the strings.

These three were under someone’s orders!

Just as Carson Flores was about to release his grip, he tightened it again, ”Who is Layne Reid?”

”Layne Reid!”

The man sobbed, the friction and pulling on his broken wrist almost making him faint from the pain. But he couldn’t pass out; forgetting how terrifying Layne Reid’s background was, he quickly confessed to lessen his suffering.

”He’s the one who called us to take you down, offering us two hundred thousand. We were just paid to do the job...”

Carson Flores raised an eyebrow, ”Layne Reid, who is that?”

”Layne Reid is the guy who confessed to me on stage before!”

Lillian Frost, standing nearby, said angrily, ”That sly bastard, he must have felt embarrassed when he saw you give me flowers, so he decided to get back at you for it!”

The guy who confessed?

Carson Flores’s expression showed a hint of surprise. Are students nowadays this wild?

Unable to handle rejection and then seeing me giving flowers to Lillian Frost, he decides to have me taken down without asking questions, and for two hundred thousand?

Students have such clout now?

If they tracked us down so precisely to make a move, it means that Layne Reid has been keeping an eye on us the whole time. Such a person would certainly want to witness me getting dealt with in person, meaning he must be around here somewhere.

”Tat tat!”

There was the urgent sound of footsteps, and Carson Flores looked up to see a figure dashing towards the exit from a dark corner.

Lillian Frost looked in the direction of the sound, ”He’s there!”

Carson Flores looked up, his gaze falling on the panicked Layne Reid, his eyes growing colder.
