The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 426: Chapter 426: Are Women That Terrifying?_1

”How could that bastard show up in Seashore?”

As Santino Vasquez slid into the car, he sat down with a start, his face a mix of shock and then anger, ”Does this guy really think he’s so great just because he’s a Grandmaster? He actually dared to chase me to Seashore!”

When Santino Vasquez recalled how he had run away in the marketplace, filled with fear, his heart brimmed with humiliation.

He was from the Vasquez Family of Seashore!

Why should he fear a nobody with no background or support?

So what if he was a Grandmaster? The Vasquez Family had no shortage of Grandmasters, even Great Grandmasters and Innate Grandmasters!

Santino Vasquez grabbed a bottle of water, twisted off the cap, and downed half the bottle before slowly calming down.

That encounter just now must have been a coincidence, right?

Surprise was evident on Carson Flores’s face too; clearly, he hadn’t expected to run into him either.

Shirley Miller was with him, so they must be traveling or discussing business, perhaps.

Santino Vasquez had mistaken Samantha Tate for Shirley Miller, not realizing that Shirley Miller had a cousin who looked nearly identical to her, and in his panic, where would he have found the time to take a closer look at someone?

Santino Vasquez thought about driving away, but he felt too aggrieved to leave it at that.

In Seashore, without anyone by his side, he couldn’t do anything about Carson Flores, and he’d almost gotten himself into trouble, surviving only by his wits and vigilance. Otherwise, he might have met his end there.

This wasn’t Seashore; this was Seashore!

This was his home ground!

Santino Vasquez’s eyes darted around as he suddenly had an idea.

Carson Flores, let’s see if I don’t take you down this time!

Shirley Miller, since you’ve come to my doorstep, it’d be a waste of my surname if I couldn’t deal with you this time.

...

After a shared dinner, Carson Flores parted ways with Nathaniel Frost and his sister.

Carson Flores took Samantha Tate’s hand and led her to the parking garage, settling into the red Ferrari sports car.

”Whose sports car is this?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”It’s a welcome present from my little aunt; I couldn’t refuse. I’ll drive it for now and return it later.”

Samantha Tate chuckled lightly, ”They are really good to you.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Indeed, let’s go, I’ll take you home.”

Samantha Tate smiled, ”Are you going to stay at your grandparents’ place again?”

With a sense of resignation, Carson Flores answered, ”Yeah, last night it was almost 1 a.m. by the time I got back, and I lied about being drunk and staying at a hotel. My aunt almost came to pick me up...”

Samantha Tate couldn’t help laughing, ”Do you feel a bit pressured?”

As Carson Flores started the car, he replied helplessly, ”Mhm, it feels like being treated like a kid. For now, I can only stay with my grandparents. You take care of yourself, okay?”

Samantha Tate wasn’t downhearted; she responded with a sweet smile, ”Living with family is great. I’m grown-up enough to take care of myself, plus I won’t get bored. I want to decorate our place inside and out, after all, it’s sort of our little home together...”

Carson Flores responded with a smile, ”Alright, I’ll come back to join you whenever I have time.”

Samantha Tate nodded, ”Are you really going to Tang Tang’s school tomorrow night?”

Carson Flores answered with a smile, ”Yeah, why not, seeing as I’m free, let’s just consider it a date.”

At this suggestion, Samantha Tate’s mood lifted considerably, ”Great, I’ll prepare a bouquet for her to give tomorrow.”

”Good!”

Carson Flores dropped Samantha Tate off at her place, then drove back to his grandparents’ home.

Carrying a whole pile of clothes he had bought that morning, Carson Flores walked in to find his aunt Leah Frost lounging on the sofa, legs crossed, busy with her phone.

Leah Frost put down her phone and stood up, ”Back already?”

”Yeah, I’ll go put the clothes away first.”

As Carson Flores greeted her and passed by, Leah Frost suddenly reached out and grabbed his arm.

”Wait a moment.”

Carson Flores looked back in surprise, ”What’s up, auntie?”

Leah Frost eyed him closely, her beautiful face drawing near.

Carson Flores instinctively leaned back.

”Don’t move!”

Leah Frost leaned into Carson Flores’s shoulder, sniffing lightly at the side of his neck, a suspicious look in her eyes, ”You have a woman’s perfume on you, hmm, it’s Chainler’s bluegrass collection, and she has taste...”

Carson Flores felt his scalp tingle. Were women this frightening?

He had just hugged Samantha Tate when parting, and Leah Frost could actually pick up on that and even identify the brand and type of the perfume?

Too terrifying!

Carson Flores responded with an awkward laugh, ”Auntie, I was out with Nathaniel and Tang Tang, watching a movie, shopping, and eating. Where could there be another woman?”

Leah Frost snorted, ”Nathaniel didn’t take you somewhere inappropriate, did he?”

Carson Flores hurriedly assured her, ”Really not, look at what time it is. The night scene is just starting. Tang Tang was with us; how could that be possible... It might be from being in a crowded elevator in the mall. There was a beautifully scented woman in front...”

Leah Frost released Carson Flores, ”That boy Nathaniel is rather mischievous, loving to hang out at night clubs and flirt with girls. You may hang with him, but don’t go making trouble. Be careful about diseases. In a few days, I’ll introduce you to a pretty girlfriend, then you won’t have to worry...”
