Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 348: Chapter 233: Entering the Imperial Capital! Piercing the Heavens

Wu Ting printed out the first draft of his paper.

”Directors, this is the first draft of my paper: ’A Clinical Study on the Fatal Toxic Side Effects of Pfizer’s New Drug Sorafenib and a Discussion on the Authority of FDA Certification’.”

Wu Ting gestured to Zhang Heng and Jia Jun. ”You two, hand over the lab, clinical, and statistical data to the experts for review.”

”Right away.”

Zhang Heng was young and accomplished. As a graduate of Union, he had seen his share of major events, but he had never experienced a lineup like today’s, much less a meeting where his team was the absolute center of attention.

He couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement and bliss.

Zhang Heng had once harbored thoughts of competing with Wu Ting, but at this moment, he felt just how great it was to ride Wu Ting’s coattails.

Once this paper was published, Zhang Heng could see a clear path to qualifying for a promotion to chief physician.

Zhang Heng had now completed a historic transformation: from questioning Qin Donglai, to understanding Qin Donglai, to becoming Qin Donglai.

He carefully submitted the fruits of his recent labor to the senior figures.

As Zhang Heng handed the documents to Ma Mengchao, the latter couldn’t help but frown. Sending Zhang Heng to the City First Hospital Research Center had been part of his plan.

But it had been such a short time, and Zhang Heng’s docile behavior around Wu Ting was identical to Ling Ling’s in the past.

’This Wu Ting... is he really that charismatic?’

A sliver of regret entered Ma Mengchao’s heart. He had likely misstepped in his handling of his relationship with Wu Ting.

He could clearly sense the faint barrier and distance that had grown between him and Wu Ting.

Ma Mengchao began to read Wu Ting’s paper.

Reviewing Wu Ting’s paper along with the corresponding data, Ma Mengchao quickly identified the problem with Pfizer’s new drug.

Without a doubt, Pfizer’s new drug, Sorafenib, possessed fatal toxic side effects. A drug like this could never have passed three full phases of clinical trials.

This could only mean that there was absolutely some shady, under-the-table dealing involved. This time, the moment Wu Ting’s paper was released, it would hold both Pfizer’s and the FDA’s feet to the fire!

After reviewing Wu Ting’s paper, the other directors also saw the issues with Pfizer and the FDA.

”Pfizer... and the FDA... To think they’d dare to pull a stunt like this with a drug. It’s utterly unconscionable.”

Some of the more straightforward directors began cursing out loud, but they were also grateful for what Wu Ting’s team had done. This was the ultimate form of patient protection.

With Wu Ting’s impeccable logic, complete chain of evidence, and real, valid statistical data, the entire situation became clear and undeniable.

This paper wasn’t just initiated and written by Wu Ting; it was backed by clinical case support from numerous top-tier institutions.

Therefore, this was not Wu Ting’s battle alone. It was a powerfully influential and persuasive denunciation of Pfizer and the FDA, brought forth by the top hospitals of Jin Country and their leading chief physicians.

Originally, Wu Ting and Jin Yihong had planned to wait until the clinical statistics were finalized and the paper was perfected. Then, they would simultaneously contact top international journals and approach the National Medical Products Administration.

But now, with this veritable supergroup of top-tier directors, Wu Ting didn’t need to worry about a thing.

In less than ten minutes, both paths had been cleared.

Several of Qinghe City’s top directors made successive calls to the head of the National Medical Products Administration.

Hearing from so many representative figures of Jin Country’s medical community, the head of the administration dared not take the matter lightly. He immediately notified his subordinates, assembled a special task force, and personally led the team to Jin Country General Hospital.

Meanwhile, several of Qinghe City’s top directors had a close relationship with the editor-in-chief of *Lancet*. After a brief discussion, the editor-in-chief of *Lancet* convened a team of senior editors overnight to begin reviewing and discussing Wu Ting’s paper.

Of course, with endorsements from so many of Jin Country’s top directors, its passage was essentially guaranteed.

The editor-in-chief was assembling the team to follow procedure, but also to formally classify the event as what it was: major, critical, and requiring a serious, immediate response.

Everyone involved, whether actively or passively, knew this was going to be a sleepless night.

And tomorrow would be a day that would shake everyone to their core.
