Chapter 324: Chapter 226: Opportunity: Heavy Rewards Bring Forth Brave Men

The Jin Pharmaceutical Group, Conference Room.

Jin Yihong convened a board meeting.

All the top executives were in attendance. The Jin Pharmaceutical Group had been advancing triumphantly as of late, and its stock price had reached a new high.

The board members were all beaming, eagerly anticipating today’s meeting.

As expected, once the meeting began, Chairman Jin announced a piece of tremendous good news!

”Our anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicine, the ’Yangzheng Xiujie Pill,’ has officially been approved by the National Medical Products Administration. Here are the new drug clinical trial approval, the new drug certificate, and the production license!”

”In other words, our years of hard work are finally coming to fruition.”

”Starting today, our new drug can officially enter mass production!”

”Next, our company will hold a press conference at nine tomorrow morning to officially announce the new drug’s launch. We will also be finalizing contracts with the distributors, raw material suppliers, and other partners with whom we have letters of intent.”

”The factory we built and the equipment we purchased in preparation can finally be put to use.”

”This will mark the beginning of our return on investment. At the same time, we must continue to invest in the R&D of our core project, the Banzhe Project.”

All the board members present were thrilled to hear Jin Yihong’s announcement.

After so many years, the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill was finally going to market.

Previously, the mere announcement that the new drug had been approved sent the Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s stock price soaring severalfold. They were confident that after tomorrow’s press conference, it would reach yet another high.

During the meeting, the board also proposed a compensation plan for the R&D team, which included an equity incentive for Lou Musaang and Jia Jun in particular!

”Next, aside from the R&D center’s strategic pivot to the Banzhe Project, our other priority is to increase marketing. We need to train physicians and distributors on the drug’s pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacodynamics, and clinical applications in order to better educate patients and enhance our new drug’s...”

”Of course, we also need to strengthen our risk management procedures for adverse reactions. We will continue with Phase IV clinical trials after the launch and closely monitor the drug’s safety and efficacy...”

The meeting concluded amidst a chorus of cheers and praise.

The relevant teams at the Jin Pharmaceutical Group sprang into action.

After leaving the conference room, one of the shareholders returned to their office. They took out a burner SIM card containing only a single number and typed out a message:

”New drug press conference. Tomorrow, 9 AM.”

「The next day」

At the Xiao City Pharmaceutical Valley Building, the press conference—titled ”Xiao City Medicine Valley Innovation Launch: Jin Province’s First Patented Anti-Tumor Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill”—officially began.

Located in the heart of Xiao City’s biomedical industry development zone, the Jin Pharmaceutical Group had, over several decades, become a hub for the top entrepreneurial talents in Jin Province’s biomedical field.

The guest list for this press conference was extensive. It included the managing director of Sequoia Capital, a committee member from the National Medical Products Administration, a committee member for Xiao City Innovation, and a consulting team of various experts and professors. There was also a powerful group of investors present, including nine famous capital firms such as Xiao City United Investment Co., Ltd., Fidelity Jinzhou Venture Capital Company, and the Binjiang Biotech Fund.

Representatives from several of Jin Province’s largest traditional Chinese medicine cultivation and production bases were also in attendance, along with relevant distributors and reporters from numerous media outlets.

Wu Ting and Deng Feifei were also present, representing Wu’s Pharmaceutical Company.

This was a day for the researchers at the Jin Pharmaceutical Group to shine. Jin Yihong had specially arranged for Lou Musaang to lead the presentation.

After years of painstaking effort in drug development, Lou Musaang had finally designed and created this new anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicine.

The vast majority of clinical drugs for treating tumors are Western medicines, many of which are injectables. The Yangzheng Xiujie Pill, however, was a rare oral traditional Chinese medicine!

Lou Musaang began his presentation, his voice filled with pride:

”The Yangzheng Xiujie Pill is an original drug independently developed by the Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s research center. It has successfully completed three phases of clinical trials, making it the nation’s first oral traditional Chinese medicine for tumor treatment. Its ingredients are sourced from traditional herbs native to Jin Country: Huangqi, Ligustrum Fruit, ginseng, Curcuma, reishi mushroom, gynostemma, fried atractylodes, Half-branch Lotus... and others.”

”The development of this drug breaks from traditional R&D paradigms. Using high-tech methods like modern pharmacokinetics and genomics, we were able to track the active ingredients as they are absorbed into the bloodstream and travel to the tumor sites...”

”The drug has now been approved by the National Medical Products Administration. We have obtained the clinical trial approval, the new drug certificate, and the production license!”

”Our new drug is remarkably effective and uniquely formulated. It is also extremely safe, with no drug-related adverse reactions or side effects. Furthermore, through innovative patents, we can achieve industrial-scale production of the raw materials!”

Just as Lou Musaang was in the middle of his spirited presentation, a sudden commotion erupted from the audience.

Several people suddenly held up their phones, all displaying a live video stream.

”Jin Pharmaceutical Group! You’re holding this grand press conference, launching this new drug, and so confidently announcing the release of the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill... but have you actually done any market research?”
