Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 335: Chapter 229: Wu - The Black-hearted Business Genius - Ting (3)

”First is our research on the primary pharmacodynamics. This involves studying the drug’s main pharmacological effects related to its clinical therapeutic action, using lab animals. We must conduct both in vivo and in vitro experiments... When selecting dosages, it’s crucial to set up multiple dose groups to determine the effective range...”

”The observation period for the drug’s efficacy should be determined by its rate of absorption, duration of action, and elimination time within the animal’s body...”

”Second, general pharmacology research. In other words, studying the new drug’s broader pharmacological effects, beyond its primary therapeutic actions.”

”In addition to the standard systemic observations—nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system—we must also conduct studies on other relevant systems based on the drug’s characteristics... For our drug targeting HBV-related primary hepatocellular carcinoma, we must add research into its effects on blood coagulation and other hematological aspects. This will provide clinicians with emergency protocols for potential adverse reactions!”

Everyone took notes as they listened to Wu Ting’s systematic and comprehensive explanation.

Through these repeated, dazzling displays of expertise, Wu Ting’s authority within the team had completely surpassed that of Jia Jun, their nominal supervisor. The research team gradually shed its identity as part of the Jin Pharmaceutical Group, wholeheartedly embracing Wu’s Pharmaceutical Company.

Their leader, their boss, their chief scientist was Wu Ting—Director Wu!

After finishing his lecture on the pharmacology experiments, Wu Ting moved on to outlining the framework and providing guidance for the toxicology studies.

”According to the current new drug approval regulations, toxicology research includes studies on acute toxicity, chronic toxicity, local tolerance, and special toxicity.”

”Our objective is to observe the acute toxic reactions from a single dose, as well as the effects of repeated administration. We need to identify any toxic reactions caused by accumulation and gauge their severity. This will help us identify the target organs for toxicity and determine if the damage is reversible. Ultimately, we must establish the dose at which no toxic reactions occur, which provides a baseline for determining safe human dosage...”

As Wu Ting explained the toxicology research, the image of the patient with blood lines under the nails of both hands inexplicably flashed through his mind.

He then suddenly recalled the [Pharmaceutical Insights: Sorafenib (Purple)] he had obtained. One of Sorafenib’s toxic side effects was, in fact, subungual linear hemorrhage.

However, the thought was fleeting. ’After all, that would be too much of a coincidence.’

’Besides, Sorafenib is a safe new drug that passed FDA certification and was even fast-tracked.’

Snapping out of his thoughts, Wu Ting continued to explain the remaining strategies and techniques to his research team.

Wu Ting spoke eloquently for over half an hour, completely off the cuff. Far from being bored or restless, everyone listened with rapt attention, finding the lecture incredibly rewarding.

By the time Wu Ting had finished laying out his entire plan, all the researchers were thoroughly impressed.

”Director Wu doesn’t feel like a clinical director at all. He’s more like the seasoned head of a major drug R&D department.”

”I know, right? Director Wu’s plan perfectly covers the core principles of evaluating a new drug: efficacy and safety... It also shows his profound understanding of the new drug approval process!”

”Exactly. His grasp of the technical requirements for preclinical pharmacology and toxicology is just incredible.”

”After listening to Director Wu’s explanation, I can already see our pharmacology research coming to fruition.”

”Doing new drug R&D under Director Wu feels so smooth, so efficient, so simple.”

”Yeah, it feels like we only just started this project, but we’ve already finished screening for the lead compound. The pace is so fast, it feels surreal, almost unbelievable.”

”Doesn’t everyone get the feeling that our new drug might actually pull ahead from behind and surpass the Banzhe Project!”

As the research team began the preclinical trial phase under his hands-on guidance, Wu Ting carved out some time to start writing his paper:

Screening for ”Fengmu Tiada” Lead Compounds with Potential to Cure HBV-Related Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma Using Molecular Modeling Technology!

After the experience gained from so many projects, writing a paper was second nature to Wu Ting:

1.2 Experimental Conditions...

1.3 Pharmacophore Model Construction...

After laying out the entire framework and finishing a rough draft, Wu Ting handed it off to Dr. Jia Jun.

As the team leader, Wu Ting understood how precious his time and energy were. Once he had completed the skeleton, the rest of the work could be delegated to his subordinates.

With each successive project, Wu Ting increasingly developed the natural air of authority and command befitting a principal investigator.
