Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 328: Chapter 227: Equity Swap, Net Worth Valued at 2.44 Billion

”...funding, equipment, and a top-tier research environment with a cohesive, well-established team of scientists from Jin Country... Moreover, our research center is right here in Xianglin City. I believe that for Dr. Wu, this is the absolute best option!”

”As for compensation, that’s the easy part... Our team is more focused on working with Dr. Wu to bring your project to fruition. Our group has extensive experience collaborating with the government, medical institutions, doctors, and communities. We also actively support various educational activities in the field of HBV-related primary liver cancer...”

”...We offer generous compensation comparable to any medical group in the world, have a world-class R&D environment and team of scientists, and possess a rich humanistic spirit and sense of social responsibility. Therefore, this time, we at Pfizer sincerely invite Dr. Wu Ting to join us, so that together we can contribute to the medical and health cause of all humankind!”

”Together, let’s pursue excellence and greatness!”

If others had spoken about the value and potential of Wu Ting’s project, it might have been attributed to business competition. But this video was purely Xie Bin praising and endorsing Wu Ting’s research, and it came across as completely genuine.

Through this multi-faceted presentation, especially the sincere words of her direct competitor, Xie Bin, Jin Yihong gave the market immense hope and a huge boost of confidence.

After the press conference, the stock price of Jin Pharmaceutical Group finally stopped falling.

Public opinion also shifted to voice support for Jin Pharmaceutical Group, and various investors and the market began to re-evaluate the company.

For a short time, the situation was stabilized.

However, everyone knew this was just a shot in the arm, a temporary lifeline. Everything still depended on the future progress of the Fengmu Tiada project and the delivery of tangible results.

Otherwise, just hyping up a concept—a castle in the air—would only lead to a more devastating fall.

Everyone was now waiting for the birth of the first result from the Fengmu Tiada project, which Jin Yihong and Wu Ting had mentioned at the press conference: the discovery of a lead compound and the publication of related papers.

「Xianglin City, Pfizer Research and Development Center.」

Xie Bin and Xu Kunlin were in the office, watching the video of Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s press conference together.

Flames could practically shoot from Xie Bin’s eyes.

”This Jin Yihong is really something else.”

”To think she could come up with such a move to stabilize the situation.”

However, after a moment, Xie Bin calmed down:

”She may have used Wu Ting’s new drug to temporarily salvage the situation, but it’s not a long-term solution.”

”That Wu Ting might have some talent, but when it comes to the field of pharmaceutical R&D, without the collaboration of a top-tier team like ours at Pfizer, I doubt he’ll even get past the first hurdle—the lead compound—within three to five years.”

”You and I both know what Jin Yihong is thinking. This is just a feint, a classic misdirection.”

”We should keep a close eye on Lou Musaang’s Banzhe Project. That’s Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s real trump card. Wu Ting is just a figurehead they’ve put out in the open to boost morale and stabilize market confidence. We don’t need to pay him too much mind.”

Xie Bin quickly formulated a counter-strategy: continue to focus on the Banzhe Project.

As for Wu Ting’s team, he would let them be; they wouldn’t be able to make any significant waves.

If his team couldn’t produce results with a lead compound in another three months, they would naturally suffer a backlash.

Besides, the longer it took, the more disadvantageous it would be for them.

Xie Bin was a very patient man; he didn’t mind waiting a few more months.

”President Xie, the utter defeat of Jin Pharmaceutical Group is foreseeable. It’s just that our own new drug has now been officially launched and put into mass production to squeeze out the market for the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill.”

”I’m worried about the toxic side effects of Sorafenib... The timeline is being dragged out... I’m afraid things might come to light.”

Xu Kunlin was still a little worried.

Xie Bin was unconcerned. ”It’s fine. We’ll have taken down Jin Pharmaceutical Group long before anything happens.”

”We just need to be patient for now. Think about the reward after this is all over—we’re talking tens of billions.”

Tempted by the profits Xie Bin mentioned, Xu Kunlin could only choose to accept it.

”Understood. I’ll arrange for a special team to handle any adverse reactions as quickly as possible after the drug hits the market. We’ll try to keep it quiet...”

...

...

After Jin Pharmaceutical Group made its move, Pfizer Pharmaceutical chose to meet the change by remaining unchanged.

Suddenly, both pharmaceutical companies entered a period of calm, and Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s stock price actually stabilized and began to rise.

Meanwhile, the new drugs from both companies entered the market and made their way into hospitals.

Due to the different strategies of the two pharmaceutical groups, a paradoxical situation emerged.

Pfizer’s Sorafenib was clearly well-received by the market and sought after by distributors, hospitals, and patients. Yet, instead of pressing their advantage with a full-scale rollout, they proceeded at a slow pace. Pfizer’s marketing teams were nowhere to be seen taking the initiative.

On the other hand, Jin Pharmaceutical Group adopted all sorts of aggressive promotion tactics for its Yangzheng Xiujie Pill, with the sales team working overtime. However, hospitals, doctors, distributors, and patients were not very receptive.

Under these circumstances, an unexpected market reaction occurred. Due to Pfizer’s lukewarm marketing and deliberate control over production, Sorafenib became a hot commodity. In some hospitals, it was nearly impossible to get a single dose.

Through word of mouth, patients began hailing it as a miracle drug with remarkable effects.

The Yangzheng Xiujie Pill, on the other hand, was somewhat oversupplied, and its sales were sluggish. However, the few doctors and patients who did use the new drug found its properties to be very mild, and its reputation was actually quite good.

If not for the existence of Sorafenib, with long-term promotion, the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill truly had the potential to become a classic, mild traditional Chinese patent medicine.

But there are no ”what ifs” in reality. As long as Sorafenib was around, the Yangzheng Xiujie Pill would never have a day to turn its fortunes around.

As time slowly passed, the market and its investors slowly began to realize that Jin Pharmaceutical Group was making no progress.

The stock price of Jin Pharmaceutical Group began to fluctuate once again.

Within Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s board of directors, disagreements also arose. Some shareholders prepared to reduce their holdings and cash out while the price was still relatively high.

The relevant R&D teams saw no progress on Lou Musaang’s project, and some researchers grew restless, starting to look for better opportunities while keeping their current jobs.

Beset by internal troubles and external threats, the future of Jin Pharmaceutical Group once again became uncertain.

...

...

While Jin Pharmaceutical Group was facing a crisis, Wu Ting’s side, in contrast, had a steady stream of good news.

The Hepatic Tumor Surgery Experimental Building, with a push from all sides, was completed with incredible efficiency!

As it was a new building for Fan City First Hospital, people from all sectors of society came to participate in the inauguration ceremony.

The deputy mayor made a special appearance, and Tang Shengjie from National Investment, Director Ding from the Construction Bureau, and Deputy Police Chief Huang Yangming were all in attendance.

Experts and professors from the medical community were also all present, including Professor Shen, Director Jin Yu, Shen Xiaofei, and Fu Jinfen.

The Vice Chairman of Jin Pharmaceutical Group attended as a representative to offer congratulations. Jin Yihong herself had recently gone to the Southern Country, seeking collaborations and breakthroughs.

Lou Musaang was completely immersed in the Banzhe Project and couldn’t get away, so he sent Wu Ting a congratulatory video message in advance.

As the first dedicated hepatic tumor experimental building in Fan City, it was highly symbolic and significant.

The completion and opening of this specialized hepatic tumor building not only injected vitality into the high-quality development of City First Hospital by expanding its space, but also elevated the overall level of medical and health services in Fan City, greatly improving the medical conditions for the public.

This building was Fan City’s first high-standard, prefabricated hospital structure, and with President Tang’s assistance, it was designated as a key municipal construction project.

It was a modern, minimalist medical building that was energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, with clearly defined zones and a fully functional clinical environment. The first-floor lobby housed a one-stop service center, a billing center, a bed management center, and more.

It fully incorporated ”Internet Plus” technology, integrating various service functions. It combined inpatient care, outpatient services, research, teaching, and billing into a single, cohesive system, achieving true dynamic management of medical resources. This effectively made medical information transparent, centralized, and maximally accessible to patients.

Currently, floors 1 through 4 were being progressively opened, and the ward areas on floors 5 through 7 would soon be put into use as well!

After today’s inauguration, the Hepatic Tumor Surgery department of City First Hospital would officially begin admitting patients tomorrow.

Wu Ting’s Fengmu Tiada new drug research and development laboratory also officially began operations.
