Acquired a Trait from Professor Liang Ang: Hilar Cholangioplasty and Choledochoenterostomy (Purple), one of Professor Liang’s signature common bile duct surgical series, at the level of a top national expert.

Recommended Trait Synthesis: Common Bile Duct Exploration and Ostomy (Purple) + Common Bile Duct Exploration and Drainage (Purple) + Hilar Cholangioplasty and Choledochoenterostomy (Purple) = Grandmaster of Common Bile Duct Series (Black). Mastery of common bile duct-related surgical techniques, possessing the ability to establish one’s own school of thought. Combines the strengths of multiple masters, enabling you to handle all kinds of common bile duct issues. An essential component of surgery in the hepatic field!

’What a massive haul this time. As expected, when you get big shots like this together, they’re bound to drop top-tier Traits.’

Just like that, Wu Ting had another Black-rarity Trait!

And unlike the previous triple-auxiliary technique, which required a team and various external devices, this common bile duct surgical series was a true hands-on technical skill!

This common bile duct surgical series alone was enough for Wu Ting to be a dominant force in hepatobiliary surgery.

With the conclusion of the expert consensus and the completion of the research center’s phase-one results presentation, the entire event came to a successful end.

The experts from the various hospitals prepared to return to their respective institutions. They would later send dedicated teams of physicians to study the Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

This time, Wu Ting had truly left a deep impression on these top-tier experts in the field of hepatobiliary surgery.

Of course, Wu Ting himself remained clear-headed. ’There are so many surgical techniques in the field of medicine. I’ve only just scratched the surface. There’s still so much more to learn.’

However, the most important thing right now was to lead Yan Xi, Ling Ling, Jin Yan, and the others in securing the youth fund project and entering the second construction phase of the research center as soon as possible.

After the teams of experts had gradually departed, only Ma Mengchao, Shen Guofeng, Shen Xiaofei, and Jin Yu remained.

After a short meeting with the three professors and directors, Ma Mengchao also left the research center early, looking very satisfied.

Professor Ma was a very busy man. His original plan was to bring Wu Ting back to Jiuhua Hospital for his graduate studies and introduce him to his own fellow apprentices. However, Wu Ting had deviated somewhat from his plan.

But for a figure of his stature, a single Wu Ting, while promising, had not yet reached the level where he would receive special, prioritized arrangements. He had many more important matters to attend to.

Since Wu Ting had chosen to continue his development in Fan City and at Jinggang University Medical College for a while longer, he would let him grow freely.

After Professor Ma Mengchao left, Professor Jin Yu went to find Jin Yan to talk, having many things to instruct her on.

That left the two from Jinggang University, Shen Guofeng and Shen Xiaofei, who called Wu Ting over directly.

Shen Guofeng was very pleased with the arrangements for Wu Ting’s future.

”Wu Ting, regarding your upcoming graduate studies, I will make all the necessary arrangements for you.”

”As I mentioned before, I personally stopped accepting graduate students many years ago. I didn’t request any master’s student slots from the graduate school this year, so I can’t supervise you directly. However, when I get back, I will have the director of our graduate studies department personally screen and select a good graduate advisor for you.”

”Furthermore, the training model we’re offering you is for a professional graduate degree. You can continue working normally at City First Hospital. Of course, when necessary, you will still need to come to Jinggang University Medical College to complete the basic coursework. At the same time, I also plan to have you undertake advanced training in the relevant departments at our Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital and participate in more surgeries.”

”After all, for a doctor, the most important thing is accumulating clinical experience. As for research, during your graduate studies, you can just focus on working on projects with your future advisor.”

”Although our Jinggang University Medical College isn’t quite on the same level as Jiuhua Hospital, we are still a first-rate institution in the country.”

Shen Guofeng spoke candidly with Wu Ting, laying everything out for him.

Wu Ting was, of course, extremely satisfied. He had only graduated from a second-rate medical college; being able to attend Jinggang University Medical College was already fantastic.

As for Jiuhua Hospital, he could wait until he was more outstanding and had a more solid foundation before going there for an exchange. Otherwise, going there directly now might not be any better than staying in Jin Province for this kind of in-service training.

As for which advisor he would ultimately choose, he would wait until the graduate school released the list of potential advisors.

Even with Shen Guofeng’s recommendation, it wasn’t a guarantee that any of those advisors would accept him.

Right now, he was only slightly well-known in the field of hepatobiliary surgery; his overall qualifications were still ordinary. Wu Ting had a very clear understanding of himself, so he wasn’t the least bit impatient, nor did he expect to achieve success overnight.

After they finished discussing the recommendation for his graduate studies at Jinggang University Medical College, Shen Guofeng brought up another crucial matter.

”Wu Ting, Director Shen and I called you over not just to discuss your graduate studies, but for another very important matter.”

”It’s about your perfect triple-auxiliary laparoscopic technique. Now that the paper has been published and the relevant surgical cases have been presented to your peers, Director Shen and I plan to jointly recommend you for next year’s Jin Province Medical Science and Technology Progress Award.”

”Of course, this is a long cycle. The whole process begins with the announcement of the call for recommendations for the Science and Technology Progress Award projects.”

”According to the provincial Science and Technology Bureau’s schedule in previous years, that will be at least six months from now.”

”Your project is already very mature. What you need now is to prepare the recommendation letter and the supporting documentation.”

”Director Shen Xiaofei will be in charge of this matter. I’ll have Yan Xi assist him later, and you just need to provide whatever cooperation is needed. The most important components for this Science and Technology Progress Award are the recommendation letter, proof of application, papers, patent achievements, and the subsequent economic benefits, application status, and social impact.”

”Once your auxiliary technique is formally implemented, you’ll need to do a good job of preparing the relevant materials in the time that follows.”

”In particular, you need to complete the patent application for your core program algorithm as soon as possible.”

...

Shen Guofeng placed great importance on Wu Ting’s project. If they could win the Jin Province Science and Technology Progress Award, it would be of great significance for the entire team and for Wu Ting personally. Of course, it would also be a tremendous honor for the entire research center.

”I understand, Professor Shen. I will give my full cooperation to Director Shen and Dr. Yan.”

With the help of these top-tier teams, Wu Ting truly felt that his burden had been lightened considerably.

Of course, the fundamental reason these top-tier teams were willing to help Wu Ting was his own ability and talent.

After they finished discussing the application for the Jin Province Science and Technology Progress Award, Shen Guofeng prepared to give Wu Ting one last surprise.

”Wu Ting, your outstanding performance during this period has truly made me see you in a new light.”

”So, after discussing it with Director Shen Xiaofei, I’ve prepared a surprise for you.”

Hearing Shen Guofeng’s words, Wu Ting was also very surprised. ’A surprise? What kind of surprise?’

”Wu Ting, Director Shen and I are both members of the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch. Ms. Song Ying, whom you and I operated on together in Haijin Port, is the paternal aunt of our Dean Song. And Dean Song is the current chairman of our Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch...”

”Wu Ting, Dean Song asked me to thank you personally for your perfect assistance during his aunt’s surgery.”

Shen Guofeng patted Wu Ting’s shoulder, his admiration evident.

”After our observation and working together during this period, the two of us are prepared to act as your sponsors and invite you to join the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch as a member.”

”Speaking of which, Director Huo from your Emergency Department is also a member of our medical association. This time, including you, your City First Hospital’s Emergency Department will now have produced two members!”

”Wu Ting, welcome to the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch!”

Director Shen Xiaofei also warmly welcomed Wu Ting’s inclusion.

”Ah, but I’ve only been working for a short time. Am I really... qualified...?”

This was truly a huge surprise for Wu Ting. Ordinary doctors had a hard time even joining the Fan City branch of the medical association—membership typically started at the chief physician level. And yet, here he was, being invited to the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch.

Wu Ting felt a little insecure:

”Professor Shen, you’re not joking with me, are you?”

Shen Guofeng laughed heartily.

”Wu Ting, I am extending this invitation to you very seriously and formally. With the contributions you’ve made to the field of surgery so far and the potential you’ve shown, you are absolutely qualified.”

”You are the director of our national-level Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Center, a young expert recognized by so many specialists like Professor Ma and Professor Jin. You’re also a member of the editorial committee for our expert consensus on Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Of course you’re qualified.”

Listening to Professor Shen’s analysis, Wu Ting thought about it carefully. ’It seems... I really have achieved quite a bit without even realizing it!’

”Wu Ting, there’s also the matter of your national youth fund project, which is about to be approved. As such a young project leader, you are more than deserving of an invitation to join our association.”

”Then thank you so much, both of you. It’s just... what kind of cooperation do you need from me? I’m not really sure... After all, I’ve never even thought about something like this...”

Wu Ting blushed a little. Honestly, before this, such a thing had seemed completely out of reach.

Seeing Wu Ting’s bashful and inexperienced look, the two directors smiled faintly.

”Director Shen and I will take care of it for you.”

”I’ve already sent the medical association’s application and recommendation forms to my student, Yan Xi. She should have them printed out by now. Let’s go to your research center’s office. You just need to fill in your basic information like name, gender, and so on.”

”We’ll handle the rest of the process for you. You just have to wait for the public announcement of the new member list for the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch!”

Listening to Professor Shen’s arrangements, Wu Ting was overcome with pleasant surprise.

’Just listen to this. This is what you call having clout. Normal people would kill to get in, and here I am, being carried in by two existing members.’

Wu Ting found himself looking forward more and more to his future graduate school admission and the advanced training exchange in Haijin Port.
