Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

————————————————————Separator——————————————————

The car steadily drove on the highway, Brian Yates looked at Avery Jane sitting in the car, her skin like snow, her black hair like ink.

She was like those countless times she walked out from his dreams, carrying a clear, alluring beauty.

If the Yates Family truly had someone that could dazzle like Evelyn, it would be Avery Jane. He recalled the year he and his big brother met Avery Jane, the strong-willed girl who refused any help, somehow aware that as a Medicine Man, testing medication could earn considerable money, so she asked Lucas Yates to let her be a Medicine Man.

That was many years ago, yet it seemed like it was just yesterday.

She was very young then, about fifteen years old, but already had a beauty that men couldn’t turn their eyes away from.

Brian Yates was rightly heading to the lab to find his big brother, that day his big brother, who spent all day doing academic research, started to have emotions stirred by fifteen-year-old Avery Jane.

On that day, he also started to have those feelings. But ultimately, wasn’t he defeated?

Later, he watched as his big brother, always like a bookworm and emotionally inexperienced, began to slowly approach, so tenderly and gently that it seemed a bit puzzling.

Afterward, Avery Jane became his girlfriend, and then he successfully proposed.

He watched as the woman he loved so deeply became his sister-in-law.

He still remembered on his big brother’s wedding night, he drank himself into a stupor.

Locked in his room, he looked at the small building opposite, continually cursing viciously: ”I wish he would die, die...”

His big brother was gentle and elegant, scholars always have some unique charm, he fell in love with fifteen-year-old Avery Jane as if awaiting a long season of blossoming, they were so warm and sweet, but this warmth and sweetness hurt him, so he couldn’t control his emotions and hoped his big brother would die.

Jealousy is as terrifying as a venomous snake, it was unexpected that his words came true, the next day, a sudden car accident prevented his big brother from returning to the Yates Family.

Could it be his curse came true?

Thinking of this, Brian Yates couldn’t help but shiver.

No, it can’t be his curse coming true.

Pulled himself back from memories, he drove while gently asking: ”Avery, what kind of work do you want to do?”

Someday, Avery Jane would walk out from that tragedy, he had been waiting for this day.

”Please call me sister-in-law.” Avery Jane lowered her head, looking at the back of her hand, as if there was a blister too large, about to burst, like a wobbling fish’s eye looking a bit funny.

When she spoke to him, her voice always had a bit of coldness, though beautiful and clear, it always carried a certain distance.

Avery Jane always kept her distance from him, Brian Yates always knew this, which was why he dared not confess too soon.

”Alright, sister-in-law, can I understand your thoughts?” Brian Yates sighed softly, he didn’t know how his big brother won the heart of a fifteen-year-old girl back then.

Back then, Avery Jane was even colder than now, cold to the point where approaching felt difficult, like a wandering ghost in the world.

”Not much, I always have to have my own life.” Avery Jane didn’t even raise her head, Brian Yates felt an indescribable sense of frustration, between her and him, it was like radio waves on two different frequencies, despite his strong fluctuations, she felt nothing.

”Do you know Joshua Hughes?” In such a situation today, Brian Yates felt a bit strange.

It seemed like everything Joshua said was alluding to something.

On the surface, they didn’t seem to know each other, yet there was an inexplicable current surreptitiously flowing between them, whether repelling or attracting, it was extremely dangerous.

”Don’t know.” Concise and impactful, she always spoke to him like that, without an extra word, without spending much thought.

All along, Avery Jane’s attitude towards him was as if he was unrelated.

”I just want to say, he’s very dangerous.” Her indifference made Brian Yates feel a bit awkward, he explained, but the more he explained, the more he felt guilty.

”Dangerous?”

Avery Jane muttered these two words, tasting them carefully, as if savoring already existing danger.

This danger seemed to carry a thrilling pleasure, if life could no longer be calm, then let the storm come even fiercer.
