Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 899, Suppressing the Ancient God

Translator: Silavin

Most of the time, Lu Fan had Xiao Zuo, Xiao You, and the Little Blade Armour Dragon King equipped. Therefore, with their Attributes stacked together on top of Xiao Ye’s, it was extremely high.

Although not yet Enhanced by Xiao Cui’s Skills, the strength Lu Fan could now display was already around sixty percent of his full power.

However, compared to the fully awakened Darkness Ancient God, Lu Fan’s Attributes were clearly still not enough.

After this strike, Lu Fan and Xiao Ye retreated several hundred metres before stabilising themselves in mid-air.

Not only that, but Lu Fan’s Starfire Stream was also stained with darkness, continuously devouring the flames on the blade.

Lu Fan could sense this was a type of Ancient God Power.

For ordinary people, this Ancient God Power would likely be very difficult to break free from.

After all, once stained by this Ancient God Power, one would be continuously devoured of their vital essence, transforming into darkness and being absorbed by the Darkness Ancient God at any moment.

Ordinary Players would probably quickly be invaded by the darkness, becoming slaves of the Darkness Ancient God, an existence similar to Darkness Slaves.

As long as the Darkness Ancient God had a thought, it could strip away all the dark power within them, strengthening the Darkness Ancient God itself.

The stripped Player would become a withered skeleton, like those Monsters in the Dark Land.

This was an almost unsolvable Mechanics. Only Fifth Profession Players and above, who had mastered a trace of Divine Power, could resist.

Although Lu Fan’s had not reached his Fifth Profession Change, the Ancient God Power he possessed was itself a power that transcended Mechanics.

Therefore, with one swing of Starfire Stream, that darkness was directly annihilated, unable to affect Lu Fan whatsoever.

The Darkness Ancient God naturally understood that its Ancient God Power could not influence Lu Fan.

However, in that exchange just now, it had clearly held the upper hand, which made it feel somewhat more at ease.

It seemed the new Abyss Ancient God’s strength was not particularly formidable. If it could kill him and devour him, emerging early from its dormant state might not necessarily be a bad thing.

“It seems you came looking for me to deliver a great gift!” The Darkness Ancient God’s spiritual vibration continuously emanated from within its body, engaging in spiritual-level communication with Lu Fan.

“With your strength, forcing me to reveal my True Form, what benefit does that bring you? Now, even if you want to make peace with me, I won’t ever agree to it. Today, I will devour you and get a higher degree of awakening!”

Having said this, the Darkness Ancient God again wielded its dark greatsword, slashing towards Lu Fan.

Lu Fan sneered coldly and said. “You’ve just gained a slight advantage and you’re already this carried away? You really think I can only do this much!?”

Having spoken, Lu Fan consecutively drew Arrays in mid-air.

Immediately, Pet Dragon after Pet Dragon appeared in succession.

Whenever a Pet Dragon appeared, the Skill Effect of Dragons’ Bond would be triggered, enhancing the Attributes of all Giant Dragons present as well as Lu Fan.

With several Pet Dragons appearing in succession, Lu Fan’s Attributes nearly doubled!

Moreover, after Xiao Cui appeared, she consecutively Buffed them. The powerful Support Capabilities caused Lu Fan and his Pet Dragons’ Attributes to multiply several times over, while simultaneously covering them all in various Jade Shields and other Buffs.

In an instant, Lu Fan’s side’s momentum surged dramatically.

Facing so many Pet Dragons and Lu Fan, whose strength had explosively increased, even the Darkness Ancient God was startled.

Although it did not retract its sword strike, in Lu Fan’s eyes, this sword truly posed no threat.

“Come, let’s continue!” Lu Fan roared. The Starfire Stream in his hand swinging once more.

Immediately, flames rose from the blade, transforming into a hundred-metre-long Sword Qi that slashed forth.

This Sword Qi blasted towards the Darkness Ancient God, forcing it to raise its sword in defence.

However, this time, Lu Fan’s slash was not so easily blocked.

With his Attributes explosively increased, Lu Fan’s attack this time was completely different from before.

The Sword Qi directly sent the Darkness Ancient God retreating continuously, black aura constantly bursting outward.

Not only that, Ji Ji and Lin Dong also seized this opportunity to release Skills at the Darkness Ancient God.

Ji Ji’s poison splashed onto the Darkness Ancient God’s body, and instantly the Corrosive Effect rang incessantly.

*Siiiii siii siii…*

Although the Darkness Ancient God had been prepared, using the black mist on its body to isolate the poison from itself as much as possible, it still inevitably had some Debuffs attached to it.

Ji Ji’s poison was simply impossible to guard against.

The Weakening Effect brought by the poison might not greatly trouble the Darkness Ancient God. But having the poison attached to its body genuinely made the Darkness Ancient God extremely uncomfortable.

The black aura on its body desperately overflowed, clearly attempting to purge all Negative Status Effects from itself.

However, before the poison’s Debuff was completely Cleansed, Lin Dong’s Frost Dragon Breath arrived.

In an instant, cold air filled the sky and earth. Ice crystals began forming on the Darkness Ancient God’s body, greatly reducing its Agility and causing its Overall Speed to rapidly plummet.

With just the poison and ice Dragon Language Skills, the Darkness Ancient God was already suppressed.

And Lu Fan, riding Xiao Ye, also struck at this moment.

Not to mention Xing Chen and Bao Bao also circled nearby, ready to release Skills at any moment to catch the Darkness Ancient God off guard.

When has the Darkness Ancient God ever been suppressed to this extent?

If its degree of awakening were higher, it could rely on Mechanics advantages to become immune to many of these Debuffs.

But now, having not restored its full strength, although its overall power could already tower above nearly all life forms in this world, facing a freak like Lu Fan, it still fought with more will than capacity.

The Darkness Ancient God at this moment no longer used spiritual vibration to make threats at Lu Fan.

It wielded the dark greatsword in its hands, counterattacking frantically.

At the same time, Arrays formed by black aura appeared around it.

After the Arrays formed, they shot forth terrifyingly powerful Magic Skills, launching attacks at Lu Fan or other Pet Dragons.

These Magic Skills were especially terrifying. Any single one could easily annihilate a city or even a small country.

However, before Lu Fan, these Skills were mediocre at best.

The Pet Dragons successively released Skills, colliding with the Darkness Ancient God’s Skills and mutually cancelling each other out.

Even when the Darkness Ancient God became desperate and rapidly cast its Skills, occasional red lights would strike its body, shattering its form.

Although the Darkness Ancient God would very quickly regenerate, being frequently injured still affected its strength, which clearly declined considerably over time.
