Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 870, The Unsolvable Application of Fury of All Dragons

But a problem immediately arose.

How extraordinarily difficult was it to injure the Blood Moon’s Owner!?

Even the Devouring Dragon King couldn’t break through the Blood Moon’s Owner’s scales.

The Blood Moon’s Owner already had High Defence, each Scale was as thick as a city wall. Even Shadow Dragons, most skilled at Armour Piercing, had no way to break its Defence. How could they injure it and give the Devouring Dragon King an opportunity to devour its flesh and blood?

Lu Fan racked his brains, trying to figure out a method that could harm the Blood Moon’s Owner.

Instead, the Devouring Dragon King took the initiative, speaking with a disdainful tone. “What’s there to ponder? Don’t you have that exceptionally powerful Skill, the one that nearly killed me back then?”

Lu Fan came to a realisation, saying. “You mean Fury of All Dragons?”

“Exactly, that Skill allows you to transform into a Silver Dragon.” The Devouring Dragon King said, “If you use that Skill and also borrow my power, I believe you should be able to injure the Blood Moon’s Owner.”

Lu Fan frowned. “But after using that Skill, all my strength and all of my Pet Dragons will be completely drained, leaving us with absolutely no ability to continue fighting. If we’re confident we can kill the Blood Moon’s Owner in that one strike, then we could use it. But if we can’t kill it instantly, using this Skill would undoubtedly be seeking our own death…”

The Devouring Dragon King was thoroughly infuriated, cursing. “With your brain, how did you become a Dragon Tamer? If you directly use Fury of All Dragons, you’ll indeed lose the ability to continue fighting. But you’re now an Ancient God. Can’t you use the Power of an Ancient God!? You can have your True Body enter the Abyssal Space, summon a Projection of you and me in the real space, then use Fury of All Dragons. Wouldn’t that work far better?”

“We can do that!?” Lu Fan was momentarily stunned, his thinking suddenly opening up.

Previously, he had always felt Fury of All Dragons was a desperate, all-or-nothing Skill. If he could not kill his opponent, he would be easily killed due to having no remaining combat capability.

Therefore, without absolute certainty of victory, he absolutely would not use this Skill.

However, the method the Devouring Dragon King described provided him with a new approach.

Fury of All Dragons did not need to be so difficult to use. As long as it’s a Projection that uses it, what does losing combat ability matter?

At worst, he would just need to summon a new Projection.

Nevertheless, whether this method would actually work, Lu Fan himself wasn’t entirely certain. Because Lu Fan had tried similar methods before.

For instance, when he had just comprehended Fury of All Dragons, Lu Fan had attempted to have Xiao Cui replicate a Jade Mirror Image for him, then have the Mirror Image Projection cast Fury of All Dragons.

As a result, the Mirror Image Projection could not withstand the power of Fury of All Dragons and directly exploded before it could even be casted.

From that point on, Lu Fan had defaulted to believing Fury of All Dragons was a Skill only he could use.

Though, to be fair, if Mirror Image Projections could also use it, that would indeed be far too overpowered. The World Mechanics should not permit such a thing.

The Devouring Dragon King said disdainfully. “Of course it’s possible. Ancient Gods transcends Mechanics Level. They could be said to be completely free once they mastered their Divine Seat!”

“The Abyssal Ancient God Power you’ve mastered allows mutual Projection between the Abyssal Space and real space. There’s absolutely no difference between the True Body and the Projection, including Skills. Even Skills that can only be cast by the True Body can be cast by the Abyssal Ancient God’s Projection.” Saying this, the Devouring Dragon King sighed. “*Haa…* That Ancient God Power in your hands is truly wasted.”

Lu Fan lightly coughed, saying somewhat embarrassedly. “I… I only recently obtained it and haven’t properly studied its capabilities yet. Since you say it can be used this way, I’ll try it for now.”

“Come, enter the Abyssal Space with me. But before that, you need to increase the distance, don’t let the Blood Moon’s Owner detect any abnormalities and my Abyssal Node. If the Abyssal Node is shattered, I won’t be able to use my Ancient God Power for a while.”

The Devouring Dragon King responded. “I understand.”

Having said this, the Power of the Stars on her body rotated. She had clearly activated the Starry Sky Dragon Clan Bloodline within her.

Subsequently, a Starry Space Passage appeared before her. The Devouring Dragon King’s body once again transformed into a shadow, making her Movement Speed surge. In an instant, she plunged into the Starry Space Passage Transport Array.

The next second, the Blood Moon’s Owner’s attack also arrived. That massive claw struck down, directly shattering the gate.

However, at this moment, the Devouring Dragon King and Lu Fan had already reached an altitude of tens of thousands of metres.

Lu Fan directly laid down an Abyssal Node. This node was merely the size of a fist, but as the Devouring Dragon King approached, the Abyssal Node became like a vortex, directly swallowing the Devouring Dragon King.

The so-called Abyssal Node was the nexus connecting two spaces.

When Lu Fan had fought the Abyssal Ancient God previously, the crystal ball he had shattered was the Abyssal Ancient God’s Abyssal Node.

The Abyssal Node Lu Fan created was somewhat smaller than what the Abyssal Ancient God had made, because Lu Fan’s current strength exceeded that of the Abyssal Ancient God from back then.

If Lu Fan’s Level further increased, this Abyssal Node’s size could become even more exaggerated. It could be like a speck of dust drifting about, difficult for even Ancient Gods to discover.

At that point, hiding in the Abyssal Space, Lu Fan could declare himself invincible.

Currently, the Abyssal Node was still relatively conspicuous, which was why the Devouring Dragon King had utilised Starry Space Passage to reach this altitude of ten thousand metres, allowing Lu Fan to leave the Abyssal Node here.

The moment the Devouring Dragon King and Lu Fan entered the Abyssal Node, another Devouring Dragon King and Lu Fan flew out from the other end of the Abyssal Node.

The entire process looked as if this man and Dragon had suddenly shrunk, then returned to normal. Their aura and strength showed absolutely no difference.

If one ignored the changes these two had just undergone, absolutely no one could tell that this appearing man and Dragon were merely Projections cast from within the Abyssal Space.

If facing an Ancient God, Lu Fan’s sleight of hand might be immediately discovered.

But the Blood Moon’s Owner’s intelligence certainly could not be compared to an Ancient God’s. A momentary anomaly probably would not be detected by the Blood Moon’s Owner.

After the Projections of Lu Fan and the Devouring Dragon King appeared, they descended from high altitude, piercing through the cloud layer, once again engaging in combat with the rampaging Blood Moon’s Owner below.
