Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 858, Xiao Ye’s Second Profession Change

Translator: Silavin

When Lu Fan was preparing his ‘children’ to undergo Profession Changes, Jian Ying, Qin Qiu, and the others sought him out.

“Lu Fan, we want to leave the Far North right now.” Jian Ying gazed at Lu Fan, her eyes resolute.

Lu Fan appeared rather surprised. “Leaving? Right now? Isn’t that too hasty?”

Jian Ying smiled. “What’s hasty about it? We can clearly see the Ancient God situation is extremely urgent. Seizing time to enhance our strength is the top priority. We don’t have time to continue squandering it like children anymore. Since you’ve said we should go train and consolidate our strength, and we’ve already reached Level 90, we really should go right now.”

Lu Fan thought for a moment and nodded. “Okay then. While the Ancient Gods haven’t fully awakened and everything remains peaceful, going out to train earlier would be for the best.”

He retrieved three Signal Stones from his Inventory.

Using these items, Lu Fan could contact Jian Ying and the others anytime, provided they weren’t within certain Dungeon Instances or Secret Realms with special Mechanics.

“Take these. They’ll let me contact you at any time. Also, I’ve left a Space Array within the Signal Stones. If you are in danger, immediately crush the Signal Stone. I’ll release a Projection to your side to protect you.”

Jian Ying gladly accepted these three Signal Stones, distributing two of them to Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman.

Tao Xiaoman pocketed the Signal Stone, smiling cheerfully. “Quite a useful item indeed. Having this, we can feel a lot more secure during our travels.”

Lu Fan smiled. “This is merely insurance for your lives. If you encounter any danger, you should try to resolve it on your own first. Of course, if it is something you really cannot handle, don’t hesitate and directly crush the Signal Stone. Even if the training fails, you must ensure you live.”

“I know, I know!” Tao Xiaoman pursed her lips, her gaze toward Lu Fan carrying some warmth. “The last person this naggy was my Father. Ah, I remember when I last contacted him, he again said I should learn more from you, and properly train to get stronger.”

“Then he said if I felt exhausted, I should return and inherit his company. Now, the Far North keeps producing Fallen Corpse Monsters. The world is too unstable. It seems like the stronger one is, the faster they die. Ah, better to guard some Family assets and live a life of leisure while I await my inevitable death.”

Lu Fan laughed heartily, saying to Tao Xiaoman, “If I nag so much, why don’t you call me ‘Father’?”

Tao Xiaoman’s willow-leaf brows shot up, feigning anger. “You still want to take advantage of me? Believe it or not, I’ll slap you with my sword!”

Qin Qiu covered her mouth in a gentle laugh, stopping them both. “Alright, you two stop quarrelling. Regardless of anything, we are going to temporarily part ways here. Hopefully when we next meet, Lu Fan will see an even stronger version of us.”

Jian Ying and Tao Xiaoman both nodded.

Lu Fan also inclined his head, speaking earnestly. “I believe it will happen. Each of you is a genius. With a little polishing, you’ll inevitably become Dragon Country’s new top-tier experts. So, during this training, stay safe. If I find some Divine Seats, I’ll locate you through the Signal Stones.”

The three young women responded, preparing to bid farewell and depart.

Though Qin Qiu, Jian Ying, and Tao Xiaoman had not undergone their Fourth Profession Change, they were genuine Level 90 Players who were not short of money and did not even need to prepare luggage.

If they truly lacked funds, they could find any city, accept a couple of Missions, or locate a Secret Realm or Dungeon Instance to farm equipment and earn a substantial amount of money.

This world operated thus like this: as long as one possessed strength, money was something summoned at will.

Therefore, the three setting forth to train required absolutely no preparation whatsoever.

Han Ke was not participating in this training. Watching these friends who had accompanied her for over a year prepare to leave, Han Ke’s eyes immediately reddened as she tearfully bid the three farewells for a considerable time before finally releasing them.

Seeing Han Ke suddenly becoming lonely, Lu Fan felt somewhat unable to bear it.

He no longer planned to have Han Ke continue Levelling here. Simply opening a Transport Array, he had her return to Shadow Isle first.

Recently, Han Ke had opened up farmland on Shadow Isle, claiming she intended to personally grow some vegetables and raise some poultry, ensuring her cooking ingredients remained green and healthy.

Therefore, having her return to Shadow Isle meant she had something to occupy herself with.

Shadow Isle lacked nothing. Having work kept her busy, and when exhausted she could soak in the Fortune Glowing Spring was quite a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Han Ke had no objections to this arrangement. She even said that though she was not a Combat Specialised Profession, she too needed to progress, right?

When Jian Ying and the others returned, she wanted to research at least thirty new dishes that could enhance their Attributes after consumption.

This, too, counted as her own form of training.

Thus, Dragon Capital University’s number one team formally disbanded.

After Lu Fan sent Han Ke back to Shadow Isle, he proceeded to the Profession Change Array construction area to facilitate the Profession Changes for his Dragon children.

Because these Profession Change Arrays were essentially constructed privately for Lu Fan, Tu Jing had the Profession Change Arrays built in the military district’s deepest section.

This area had originally served as a training ground. Now, it was covered with ten Profession Change Arrays. This was more than enough for Lu Fan.

After Lu Fan completed the handover with the soldiers present, he was permitted entry and began.

The first to undergo her Profession Change was naturally Xiao Ye.

Xiao Ye had long since reached Level 30. Now she could finally undergo her Second Profession Change.

Lu Fan summoned Xiao Ye, having her step onto the Profession Change Array for her Second Profession Change.

This transformation did not produce an excessive phenomena like last time.

However, Xiao Ye’s Profession Branches numbered as many as six.

Lu Fan did not know what these six Profession Branches entailed. He was also unable to provide Xiao Ye with any guidance. He could only have her select whichever she most preferred.

Very quickly, Xiao Ye completed her Second Profession Change, excitedly running down from the shattered Profession Change Array to show off to Lu Fan. “Pa Pa… I’m… even more powerful now!”

Through prolonged contact with Humans, Xiao Ye could speak increasingly more words.

Lu Fan cheerfully patted Xiao Ye’s head in encouragement, then opened her Attribute Panel to check.

Xiao Ye’s Second Profession was named Falling Calamity. After reviewing her Skills, Lu Fan immediately understood that this Second Profession Change direction Xiao Ye had selected focused primarily on large-scale Area of Effect Skills.

She had not gained new Skills, but her original Heavenfall Meteor and Heavenfall Force had both upgraded, transforming into Cataclysmic Apocalypse and Cataclysmic Earthshatter.
