Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1092: Chapter 23 Moving Forward in Silence [First Update]

”Yes, it is about restoration of the nation!” Kama nodded, then pursed her lips tightly.

”There are still many brave warriors of our nation who are exiled abroad. With battleships and resources, they will be the strongest soldiers. Combined with your strength and my Pi over Yu Tactics, it is not impossible to defeat the enemy!”

”Do you think I will help you?” Jia Yan asked somewhat cryptically.

”Yes,” Kama looked deeply into Jia Yan’s eyes before responding directly.

”You guessed correctly, but I need to know what benefits I can gain from this!” Jia Yan hadn’t expected Kama to trust him so much, but he still had to speak these words, as he himself wasn’t sure if he would help her without gaining any benefit.

”Haven’t you asked me about the research on avatars of the Strong Ones? If we restore my country, I am willing to use the national power to develop your avatar. I can confirm that the top ten Strong Ones in the Desolate Star System all acquired their avatars from my country,” Kama said.

Fearing that Jia Yan was not yet moved, she added, ”Also, you asked me about the long-distance space travel technology. This technology is just beginning in the Northern Star Domain, but my country has also conducted some research. If you need it, I can restart this matter in the country, and we may see some results within a year.”

Jia Yan’s heart throbbed upon hearing these two points.

He had come to the Northern Star Domain for a purpose, which he had once shared with Kama. It seemed that Kama had long thought of how she could help Jia Yan. Moreover, presenting these two points now, it was truly hard for Jia Yan to refuse.

”If I hadn’t investigated your ancestral country beforehand, I might not believe you, as it’s hard to imagine such a technologically advanced country being conquered by others! However, the information I found always mentioned that your country has strong innovative capabilities but lacks substantial combat power, which makes me believe your claim. Alright, Princess Kama, let’s officially start our cooperation. I will help you restore your nation!”

”Really? Thank you, Boss... no, Lord Jia Yan!” Tears started rolling down from Kama’s eyes upon hearing Jia Yan’s agreement.

Only she knew the bitterness and pain she had endured when, three years ago, a princess of high status had fallen to such lows in the Desolate Star System.

Now, with Jia Yan’s agreement, a strong hope surged in her heart for the first time in three years, leading to her tears flowing freely.

”Alright, let’s discuss the detailed stipulations after we leave the edge of the Northern Star Domain. I suppose the Red Tower Alliance is already preparing to show us their strength. It’s now up to your command to avoid them,” Jia Yan said, shaking his head at Kama, unable to bear her crying.

”Yes!” Kama, sensing that Jia Yan was hinting for her to leave, quickly got up and departed.

Jia Yan lay on the floor of the Camp-Level Spaceship; thanks to the increase in battleships, the Giant Mosquito Fleet members had mostly cleared out their belongings, making the whole space much roomier for Jia Yan’s temporary stay.

”Senior, I agreed to help the princess of the Bella clan with a purpose in mind. You know I come from a far place, and I want to go back, even just to see it, so I had to agree to her request. Besides, her demands weren’t excessive. The family that occupies her country isn’t that powerful, so helping her restore her nation is certainly possible.”

Jia Yan explained to the Light Shadow Monster, who had always silently opposed the idea in his heart.

Kama’s nation, which Jia Yan had investigated when he learned of her identity, was a small but technologically capable country within the entire Northern Star Domain. Due to a large portion of the population being engaged in the technology sector, this small country, despite its weak combat power, had hosted several influential technology conferences in the Northern Star Domain.

”If this country’s national power helps me, there might indeed be a possibility of getting back to the Solar System!” Jia Yan mused hopefully.

In space, three whole days passed imperceptibly.

On this day, the Giant Mosquito Fleet appeared on the flank where the Hao Tower Alliance was battling the Red Tower Alliance.

However, strangely, the Red Tower Alliance, facing what should have been an enemy to be eradicated, seemed indifferent, allowing the Giant Mosquito Fleet to leave without interference.

”How odd, the Red Tower Alliance isn’t reacting to our presence. It seems they have a profound fear of my power,” Jia Yan, within the Giant Mosquito Fleet, surmised bewilderedly the reason for their lack of action.

However, had he known the actual thoughts of the Red Tower Alliance at that moment, he would have realized his mistake; the Red Tower Alliance didn’t fear the Giant Mosquito Fleet per se, just as the Hao Tower Alliance had seen the potential in Jia Yan, this young monster. Even at this moment, the Red Tower Alliance wasn’t confident in their ability to eliminate him, so they decided to let him pass as a gesture of goodwill.

Unaware of this, Jia Yan simply appreciated the fact that they were not pursued, and so the Giant Mosquito Fleet continued deeper into the vastness of space.

The war between the Red Tower Alliance and the Hao Tower Alliance was actually between two galaxies that were nearly adjacent, while the other nearby alliances of the Northern Star Domain were relatively more distant. Once the Giant Mosquito Fleet passed through an encirclement gap of the Red Tower Alliance, the entire fleet’s movements became harder to track.

The Giant Mosquito Fleet continued to accelerate and, after changing direction in deep space, had essentially assured that there would be no fleets or ships tracking them from behind.

At this moment, the Giant Mosquito Fleet was completely safe.

”Now that we’re safe,” said Kama, ”it’s time for the fleet to proceed silently. I’m very familiar with the routes in the Northern Star Domain, so I probably won’t need your instructions. I’ll focus on increasing my own power then!”

After sighing in relief, Jia Yan, without taking much rest, declared that he was closing off from the outside.

The scenery in space was always the same, which could be very tiresome after a while.

Yet, in this space, a large group of ships continued their relentless advance.

”My power, during that face-off with Rzanine, was dismissed as mere tricks many times. Indeed, not only did I use some tactics during the fleet group battle, I even resorted to poisoning him. However, such tactics are not wrong. Senior Light and Shadow had said that in the universe, no matter what methods you use, as long as you can win, you are a true strong one. If my proficiency in using poison could kill a stellar-level being, others would definitely regard me as a stellar-level strong one!”

Inside the Camp-Level Spaceship, Jia Yan reflected on his previous battle.

He had used many tactics in that battle, most of which were deployed for the first time in a formal fight and had surprisingly effective results, even managing to kill a dignitary level being in perfect condition.

”Unfortunately, I am not destined to take the path of using poison,” he added, recalling that the poison he used last time was actually the last stock Senior Light and Shadow had found on the Adisa. Although there were still some left, once it was used up, he wouldn’t be able to find another poison capable of dealing with dignitary-level or higher strong ones.

Jia Yan didn’t feel too regretful that he couldn’t pursue a path of becoming a master of poison. To him, that was an evil path. Occasional usage was acceptable, but taking that path permanently was out of the question.

”As for the other tactics, they are definitely not the improper methods Rzanine mentioned; they are combat skills directly taught by Senior Light and Shadow, especially the space traveling technique, which is invaluable all the way to the stellar level. That’s what I’ll focus on cultivating next!”

Jia Yan felt the space around him.

His brainwave power had always been on his own unique path because he had traveled to many places and hadn’t been taught the basics by a formal teacher. Therefore, his brainwave power had formed its own unique path.

Even the Light Shadow Monster had only given him some pointers and hadn’t made him revise his brainwave power technique entirely.

Since every monster’s cultivation of brainwave power is somewhat different, what’s most suitable for oneself is always what one creates. The Light Shadow Monster didn’t want to obliterate this fact; of course, with his guidance, Jia Yan had slightly modified his brainwave power release technique, making his brainwave power even more perfect!

”Alright, my brainwave power is now synchronized with the space!” Just as Jia Yan felt a faint vibration, a bright glint flickered in Compound Eyes.

Then, his body moved slightly in the increasingly spacious room of the Camp-Level Spaceship!

With this movement, his body seemed to step into a faintly visible transparent passage, instantly entering it and stepping out from the other side.

With this movement, he had crossed a distance of two hundred meters in an instant!

”Excellent, my fine control ability over space traveling has improved significantly after that battle,” Jia Yan remarked, looking back and feeling satisfied with his performance.

This move, ”space travel,” was a skill taught to Jia Yan by the Light Shadow Monster immediately after he improved his True Energy near the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s stationing point. As he had to join the battle immediately, he hadn’t been very familiar with this skill then.

However, after that real battle experience, Jia Yan realized he had gained a much deeper understanding of this move.

Indeed, real combat is always the best way to improve!

”And that way of controlling brainwave power, although Senior Light and Shadow said it wouldn’t be very useful at the stellar level, I suppose it will be a while before I reach that level. This move still has great significance!”

Jia Yan reviewed the combat skills taught by Senior Light and Shadow.

Since the Light Shadow Monster had wanted Jia Yan to rapidly increase his strength rather than spend time learning combat skills, Jia Yan hadn’t learned much.
