The Northern Star Domain, the authentic battlefield, has seen almost daily battles and wars among various alliances, due to historical reasons.

The battle this time took place on the outskirts of the entire star domain, a remote area where the scale of the war was significant enough to attract widespread attention.

It was a war between two alliances that spanned a range of nearly a half-light-year, originating from the Hao Tower Alliance’s desire to break free from the control of the Red Tower Alliance and several other medium-sized alliances.

However, the spark that ignited this war surprisingly was not the declaration of independence by the Hao Tower Alliance but rather the arrival of an unknown fleet, which gave the Red Tower Alliance an excuse to attack.

Of course, everyone knew this was just a pretext, yet no one could refute the Red Tower Alliance because it was clear that the incoming fleet, which had joined no power, had unknown intentions. If they wanted to enter the North Star Domain with its many alliance territories, then surrounding and attacking this fleet would naturally be the proper course of action.

This fleet was named the Giant Mosquito Fleet, and to the people of the entire star domain, ”Giant Mosquito” was unheard of, thus they held no sympathy for this unfamiliar fleet.

”Our alliance’s extermination of the Giant Mosquito Fleet is absolutely justified, and in doing so, the Hao Tower Alliance’s complicity with the Giant Mosquito Fleet blatantly reveals their insurgent intentions against the Northern Star Domain Alliance. Therefore, we will eliminate the Hao Tower Alliance army on behalf of the Northern Star Domain Alliance and help manage affairs for a time.”

At a debate meeting at some unknown distance, the upper echelons of the Red Tower Alliance laid out their case for the war to the higher-ups of the entire Northern Star Domain Alliance.

”Ha, you want to manage the Hao Tower Alliance? Do you really think that because your names differ by just one character, you belong to the same place as Hao Tower Alliance? Let me tell you, both your Red Tower Alliance and Hao Tower Alliance were named by us, the Tianyi Alliance, when we discovered you. If anyone should manage, it would be our Tianyi Alliance,” another high-level official from an alliance in the Northern Star Domain Alliance barked.

”Oh, so it’s the high command from the Tianyi Alliance. Your alliance is so far from ours. Please don’t meddle in our business. We, the border alliances, will handle our own affairs,” said the high official from the Red Tower Alliance, his face souring at the sight of the Tianyi Alliance’s monster.

”If they’re too far, then is our Red Star Alliance closer to you, Red Tower Alliance? And don’t forget, the Hao Tower Alliance shares a border with our Red Star Alliance. Are you saying we also have a right to join the war? And since our Red Star Alliance only differs by one character from your Red Tower Alliance, must we declare that your territory is under our control?”

Another alliance official now joined the fray, causing the official from the Red Tower Alliance to visibly pale.

”Enough. The Northern Alliance now issues the final decision to you. Red Tower Alliance, we cannot fault your pursuit of the Outsider; however, your attack on the Hao Tower Alliance is excessive. Punishing the Hao Tower Alliance is not greatly wrong, but your alliance must refrain from dispatching more troops henceforth, and if the war exceeds a year, you shall automatically withdraw. This is the Northern Star Domain Alliance leadership’s final decision and must not be contravened!”

Suddenly, within that virtual debate setting, a towering presence on a high platform made the decisive statement, immediately silencing the several factions engaged in the verbal skirmish.

”As commanded,” although somewhat reluctantly, the official from the Red Tower Alliance finally bowed his head.

He had to comply because not only was the authority of this being unquestionable, but their strength was also among the top Semi-permanent Star Level Strong Ones of the entire Northern Alliance!

To offend a Semi-permanent Star Level Strong One was unthinkable; history had shown that countless alliances who had done so were wiped out overnight.

...

”The Northern Star Domain Alliance’s final ruling is out; our connections have made an impact. The highest council has decreed that the Red Tower Alliance cannot continue to send troops, and the attack must not exceed one year!”

Upon receiving the final decision from the Northern Star Domain Alliance’s highest council, the Hao Tower Alliance was also promptly informed. The entire leadership was ecstatic.

This decision was of great importance to the Hao Tower Alliance, for the true strength of the entire Red Tower Alliance was undoubtedly superior. Had the final ruling permitted the Red Tower Alliance to attack without restrictions, the Hao Tower Alliance would have surely been unable to withstand. Yet, with the decision that the enemy could no longer reinforce their troops, the burden on the Hao Tower Alliance leaders was considerably lifted.

”Don’t celebrate too early; the two groups of armies that the Red Tower Alliance is currently attacking us with are already sufficiently strong, possessing four Starry Sky Sovereign Level commanders. Our side’s top combat power is still far behind,” a high official of the Hao Tower Alliance cautioned his excited colleagues.

”Ha ha, not to worry, good news will be here soon,” one official, evidently in the know, hinted to the skeptical one about a hidden retreat of a strong figure in the Hao Tower Alliance.

That place was the retreat of the old monster, the Old Monkey. As long as this old monster emerged from seclusion, coupled with Jia Yan, the strongest of the Giant Mosquito Fleet who aided them in resisting the enemy, the gap in top-tier combat power would no longer be so vast.

...

”Lord Jia Yan, the Northern Star Domain Alliance actually treats us as Outsiders altogether; with this in mind, it’ll be tough for us to get by here in the future.”

In the Starry Sky, streaks of light shone and twinkled.

This was a terrifyingly huge behemoth—a monster soaring through the sea of stars. Surrounded by the endless void of dark nothingness, it flew at breakneck speeds without a trace of fear.

As it flew, the creature was communicating with Mo Ke through a communicator.

Mo Ke’s somewhat frail body was now exuding an air of ingratiating intent.

And of course, the one picking up his call was the incredibly powerful Giant Mosquito Monster—Lord Jia Yan himself!

”Oh? The Northern Star Domain Alliance still sees us as Outsiders? Haha, seems like we’re destined to be treated as Invaders then?” Jia Yan listened to the other party’s words and shook his head somewhat helplessly.

It was an unwarranted disaster. Since their fleet had come from the outside and had no backing in the Northern Star Domain, how simple was it to conspire against them? Virtually no one was speaking up for them.

This was somewhat depressing.

”Lord, personally, I think the responsibility falls on Marshal Kama. If she hadn’t trusted the Hao Tower Alliance too much and hadn’t advised you to come to the Hao Tower Alliance that day, then our fleet wouldn’t have encountered such a situation,” Mo Ke said, seizing the opportunity.

Jia Yan glanced at the creature in the communicator. He didn’t know where Mo Ke’s antipathy towards Kama had come from as there had always been discord between them.

However, he didn’t have a great opinion of Mo Ke. After merely giving him a cursory glance, Jia Yan said, ”Alright, this matter was agreed upon by me. Don’t bring it up in the future. Assist Marshal Kama properly. If you do well, your position will only be restored. Otherwise, be careful, or I’ll demote you!”

After ending the communication, Jia Yan’s thoughts returned to cultivation. No matter how bad the situation was, it couldn’t overcome his desire to enhance his strength.

The entire Northern Star Domain looked down on him, but why should he, Jia Yan, regard the Northern Star Domain?

To him, the Northern Star Domain was merely a temporary stopover; his future was destined for a much vaster region!

”Kid, just like that, haha, your comprehension abilities truly exceed my estimates. No wonder you’ve managed to grow this much on your own. Very good, very good, now try that move from before again. It seems you haven’t wasted too much time learning this group battle method. You’ll be able to progress quickly in the future. Excellent!”

As Jia Yan set aside his discomfort with the Northern Star Domain, his massive form continued to shuttle through space, acquiring praise from Senior Light and Shadow.

Suddenly, a terrifying explosion of light flashed through the area!

”Hahaha! Incredible, truly incredible! You’ve actually... through the instruction of this group combat, gained a deeper understanding of True Energy, without wasting time—truly remarkable.”

”I didn’t teach you wrong. Your potential... It seems that it can only be fully realized through such large-scale battle techniques. So that’s how it is! Your Talent, now I fully realize... So that’s how it is, indeed!”

Following the dazzling emergence of this light, Senior Light and Shadow seemed to be stimulated, laughing heartily in the Void as if he had discovered some exceptional treasure.

”Heh, I didn’t expect to break through like this either...”

Jia Yan himself was somewhat astonished as he looked at his own forelimbs. Then his smile spread across his face.

This was a breakthrough, though not an exaggeration like reaching the Lord Level—a feat tremendously difficult to achieve.

This breakthrough, however, was a significant precursor to a major breakthrough in the future and a key moment that Jia Yan had long sought. Previously, he had been unable to find a way to break through, and Senior Light and Shadow had said it wouldn’t come quickly. After all, having just broken through to the peak of the Strong Ones level was fast enough for most by a century to advance to the Lord Level. Even with Jia Yan’s impressive strength, he didn’t expect him to continue breaking through so soon.

Yet unexpectedly, Jia Yan had once again broken through, absorbing the knowledge taught to him like a sponge and taking his cultivation to the next level!
