Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1091: Chapter 22 Kama, The True Identity! [Second Update]

With the Hao Tower Alliance gaining another Peak Dignitary-level monster, Lord Jia Yan had become somewhat wary.

For now, the Hao Tower Alliance already had the strength to forever detain him, Lord Jia Yan, within the Hao Tower. Of course, to do so would certainly come at a great cost, and Jia Yan couldn’t be sure whether the Hao Tower Alliance, upon learning of his possession of the Life-Extension Stone, might be tempted!

It was not difficult to guess that he still possessed a Life-Extension Stone, and perhaps someone greedy within the Giant Mosquito Fleet had already sold this information to the Hao Tower Alliance. Jia Yan had no trust whatsoever in the loyalty of his fleet members.

”Ah? Mister Jia Yan, wouldn’t you like to stay a bit longer? I was hoping to build a batch of new battleships to give to your side, such a pity.” Fortunately, Men Bo didn’t seem to have any intention of keeping Jia Yan there.

The private negotiations, the specifics of which were unknown to anybody, seemed to have left both parties satisfied.

In less than two days, under the ’gaze’ of a fleet from the Hao Tower Alliance, the Giant Mosquito Fleet slowly started its withdrawal.

However, unlike their arrival, the original three hundred ships of the Giant Mosquito Fleet had now increased to over a thousand, and due to a shortage of personnel, over a hundred were piloted by an interlinked automatic steering system.

Men Bo himself had come to see off the Giant Mosquito Fleet from the Hao Tower Alliance fleet at the rear.

He also released a ’joint statement’ with Jia Yan which condemned the Red Tower Alliance for their heinous attack on the Hao Tower Alliance. Furthermore, the Hao Tower Alliance highly praised the alliance with the Giant Mosquito Fleet, elevating the rights and wrongs of the Giant Mosquito Fleet to an almost saintly level, especially praising Lord Jia Yan, the supreme leader of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, for being capable of killing a High-level Expert at the Respect Level. The Hao Tower Alliance’s praise for him seemed subtly sycophantic.

”Old Tower, why did you tell me not to target this Jia Yan? I have found out through some intelligence agencies that the Giant Mosquito Fleet has more than just a bit of Life-Extension Stone; if we could get our hands on this batch of Life-Extension Stones, our Hao Tower Alliance’s strength could very well take a big leap forward.”

In a battleship behind the Giant Mosquito Fleet, Men Bo faced a glowing screen; on the screen was a monkey-headed monster.

”Men Bo, you are still too young,” the monkey-headed monster said, shaking its head at Men Bo. Recently, due to the Life-Extension Stone, the monster had experienced a significant lifespan extension, and the sense of a Strong One’s aura it now displayed was completely above that of Men Bo.

”You can feel Jia Yan’s age, right? Although I’m not sure about his actual age, it’s certain that he is much younger than both of us, and such existence, not to mention the possible background of his family, just his potential future alone is immeasurable. If you really intend to make a move against him, if you don’t kill him, perhaps in a few decades a Semi-permanent star-level Expert might come knocking on your door for revenge; do you dare to gamble the future of the entire Hao Tower Alliance?”

The monkey-headed monster paused, and seeing that Men Bo was still somewhat unwilling, he sighed and directly said,

”Moreover, the current Jia Yan may very well be beyond our ability to kill. Don’t be fooled by the fact that his power is only High-tier star-level; his strength and methods are definitely not inferior to those at the Lord Level. Drop the idea of targeting him; in my opinion, treat him even better. Maybe in a hundred or two hundred years, the entire Northern Star Domain might be his territory, and then our days in the Hao Tower Alliance will be much easier!”

”Hmm? You think so highly of him? Alright then, I’ll treat him even better, and if he ever asks for something in the future, I must not sit idly by!” Men Bo was finally moved by the monkey-headed monster’s words.

For the monkey-headed monster was not merely a Starry Sky Sovereign; his strength was once famous in the central area of the Northern Star Domain. It was only after aging that he returned to his birthplace to live out his days quietly. If it weren’t for the Hao Tower Alliance’s crisis, he might have forever stayed hidden in the shadows, offering advice to Strong Ones like Men Bo and waiting for death to come.

However, such a transcendent being had held Jia Yan in such high esteem, and Men Bo did not dare to take him lightly, immediately agreeing to speak kindly of the Giant Mosquito and Jia Yan.

”That’s good to hear. I estimate that this old fellow will be gone in a couple of years, the Life-Extension Stone is no longer enough to save my life. But with your words, I’m at peace. Remember, you must secure Jia Yan; such a genius, I’ve seen once in the Central Region, and that time...” It seemed he remembered something, the monkey-headed monster began to speak of the past to Men Bo but stopped halfway and said no more.

...

”Boss, this Men Bo is really too good to us, isn’t he? Their own war hasn’t even finished, and yet they’ve sent us so many advanced battleships. That’s more than twice as many as we had before!”

In the Giant Mosquito Fleet, Princess Kama, like Men Bo, was somewhat incredulous about the goodwill of the Hao Tower Alliance.

”I also find it strange; from our previous interaction, Men Bo didn’t seem like such a generous person.” Jia Yan was right beside Princess Kama, and at this moment, a faint azure color still shimmered within his body, drawing continuous attention from the members of the Giant Mosquito Fleet.

The original fleet of the Giant Mosquito had been just over three hundred, but now it had suddenly been topped up to a thousand by the Hao Tower Alliance, even as their frontline warfare was still ongoing. It was a massive favor, indeed.

To know that although seven hundred battleships might not be considered numerous for an alliance, it was still no small figure, especially since the resources of the Hao Tower Alliance were scant. The fact that the opposition could spare seven hundred ready-made battleships in one go was already quite straining. In case of a war, the absence of these seven hundred battleships could potentially lead to the entire war’s defeat.

”Forget it, the Hao Tower Alliance has stabilized the overall war situation after a series of battles. Without any further troop deployments from the Red Tower Alliance, they can’t possibly lose. Let us accept these battleships at ease.”

Unable to understand the reason, Jia Yan didn’t dwell on it. After all, the benefits that could be gained were already within his grasp; besides, it was impossible for the opposition to have any devious plots involving seven hundred battleships, considering the cost was no joke.

”The only problem is the manpower for the battleships. Our original manpower was barely enough to operate three hundred battleships; now, handling a thousand is beyond challenging. I’ve even thought about borrowing troops from the Hao Tower Alliance.” After pondering, Jia Yan still shook his head with some concern.

”Boss, that’s not a good idea. The battleships are theirs, and if even the soldiers are theirs, then the entire fleet would be a significant security risk.” Upon hearing Jia Yan’s words, Kama swiftly intervened to prevent it.

However, Jia Yan was only speaking hypothetically; he wouldn’t make such a simple misjudgment. Besides, whether the Hao Tower Alliance would lend troops was another matter altogether.

”Lord, if you trust me... you needn’t worry about the manpower issue. I can round up many recruits soon, and by then, we might even find the battleships insufficient.” Kama suddenly said, mysteriously.

”Oh? You’ve found a way to acquire manpower?” Upon hearing this, a gleam flashed in Jia Yan’s eyes, followed by a somewhat peculiar inquiry.

”Yes, and the loyalty of my recruits is unquestionable. Of course, their allegiance is to me, and since I won’t betray you, doesn’t that indirectly mean they won’t betray you? The only question is, Boss, do you trust me?”

Looking up at the much taller Jia Yan, Kama showed a blush reminiscent of a little girl’s bashfulness.

This woman was from a species similar to those of Earth, and her timid demeanor right now was indeed somewhat heart-stirringly cute.

But Jia Yan was only slightly surprised, before he laughed.

”So, you’re finally ready to tell me the truth, Princess Kama?” he said, shaking his head with a smile.

”So you already knew... boring!” Kama, upon hearing Jia Yan’s words, suddenly stomped her foot in annoyance.

”Please, you didn’t conceal your own name, and the whole starfield knows about your impressive endeavor three years ago, aiming to face the enemy with the Overwhelming Yu Tactics, only to be defeated miserably. I could simply look it up and see your images, right? Princess of the ruling family of the Bella clan!” Jia Yan expressed somewhat exasperatedly.

In fact, Jia Yan had realized from Kama’s previous actions that she surely had a story; however, there was no information about her in the Desolate Star System. It wasn’t until they arrived in the Northern Star Domain that information about Kama could be found through the media and outer star information networks.

This lookup turned out to be crucial, for Jia Yan was initially surprised to learn that his beautiful subordinate was actually a princess, the first in line to her nation’s royal throne!

However, that small nation had already been annihilated by another family from the Bella clan.

And the one who led that nation’s final battle was none other than Kama before him. At that time, this woman, a fresh college graduate and a genius at that, had attempted to use the Overwhelming Yu Tactics to turn the tide of defeat. Unfortunately, her efforts went unrewarded, and due to the failure of the tactics, her entire fleet was disastrously defeated.

Following Kama’s appearance in the news alongside Jia Yan, citizens throughout the Northern Star Domain who were following the war went crazy sharing her story. The princess, who had been the butt of jokes and was rumored to have sought refuge in other star domains or even died, had returned to the Northern Star Domain upright and proudly. Moreover, she used the ’Overwhelming Yu’ tactics in a battle—tactics she hadn’t managed to deploy previously!

Even if Jia Yan hadn’t seen such wildly spread news, subordinates like Mo Ke would have surely reported it to him. He would have been hard-pressed not to know about Kama’s background!

”Boss, I’ve said it before; I wouldn’t hide anything from you. Well, now that you know my identity, you should also remember what I had mentioned before, the one thing I want your help with...”

”So, are you willing to help me?” Kama smiled, then her expression became serious, and her eyes held a hint of hope as she looked at Jia Yan.

”Restoration of your kingdom?” Jia Yan asked, with a glowing light flickering in his Compound Eyes.
