Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Souwu was holding the Chaos Fruit clawed in his hand, which he had previously caused to faint by using a slight Brainwave Power pulse in midair.

”Heh heh, why do I know that the Chaos Fruit can help with the promotion to Stellar level? No one knows, it’s a secret! Now, I’ll follow the path once taken by the master behind this secret, towards success!”

He looked at the Chaos Fruit in his claws, and then a faint ripple of energy flashed on the equipment he was wearing!

That equipment actually unfolded all at once, pieces of metal fell to the ground, becoming various instruments. Although all of them were small in size, they were particularly suitable for use on the body of the Chaos Fruit.

”No one knows that the person behind my squad’s mission was me! Because I saw in a covert information channel that a Stellar existence achieved his status here! His method was through the Chaos Fruit, analyzing and fusing the genetic molecules in his body, and thereby significantly enhancing his True Energy, becoming an uncommon Stellar level.”

”Though the Stellar level achieved by that method would initially be the weakest, it still had room for improvement. The one who ascended to Stellar level through this method, has now become a top Stellar presence of the Luozi Empire, and the path I will take is his!”

The Chaos Fruit on the ground that looked like a duck-like monster was utterly unaware of everything happening around it as Souwu assembled the equipment, which was soon to perform ’surgery’ on it.

It wasn’t long before Souwu started his skilled work.

A machine began to operate, lifting the Chaos Fruit onto the equipment, which then roared into action.

”Ga ga!” Just at that moment, the Chaos Fruit awoke, and realizing its predicament, it began to cry out anxiously in loud distress.

However, Souwu didn’t pay it any heed.

Crack crack, crack.

Sounds began to emerge in the air, and the cries of the Chaos Fruit slowly became more subdued.

Souwu’s gaze was not on the body of the Chaos Fruit, but focused on a screen that appeared in front of him, which displayed a series of data.

”So these are the data readings, the genetics of this Chaos Fruit are terrifying...” He muttered in surprise as he looked at the body data of the other being.

”Of course, the better the data turnout of the other side, the greater it will help me. In a moment, after processing, I will be able to derive the synthesis data that best suits me, and then through this data, combined with the Chaos Fruit’s body tissue, synthesize the mutation medicine I need most!”

Souwu looked at everything in front of him, almost ecstatic with the expression on his monstrous face. He knew; now no one could stop him. As long as he got the promotion medicine, his strength would definitely make great progress, and afterwards, he would attempt to break through to Stellar level, reaching a level of power beyond his wildest imagination.

And just as Souwu was indulging in his pipe dreams, a softly approaching figure, slowly... made its appearance.

Over this secluded mountaintop, a fifty-meter-tall massive figure arrived without a trace of the fireworks of the world.

”Souwu...”

Jia Yan looked at a device in his hand, which displayed glowing dots on a screen; the ’Shadow’ of which was the cave down below.

”This old monster might not have expected that after all his calculations against me, I would turn around and use his mistake to calculate against him. If he knew all this, would he regret it?”

Big Mosquito’s body hovered in the mist, concealing all his strength. And Old Suo Wu, completely absorbed in an intense operation, paid no attention to his arrival.

Jia Yan’s body slowly floated down.

By this time, he no longer needed to look at the screen in front of him.

Souwu’s aura was not hidden at all on this mountaintop; perhaps Souwu never imagined that Big Mosquito would be able to locate him so quickly.

To be honest, it was a back-up plan of Jia Yan that came into play!

And the most important point among them resided in that ’communication device’ given by Souwu.

As one of the Strong Ones, Souwu’s meticulousness always showed his depth of experience. However, due to a small oversight with this unlimited-range communicator, it led to his development of this misplaced strategy!

Indeed, it was Jia Yan who, a few days earlier, had used Souwu’s communicator to contact Kama. Then, during the following few days when the signal was clear, he collaborated with the expert back with Kama, decrypted the inner workings of the communicator. They had planted a backdoor for communication, which was now Jia Yan’s method of inquiry, by managing to directly locate Souwu through the special positioning wavelength between the two communicators!

”So this is the true face of the Chaos Fruit? I see, no wonder that Lord named it the Chaos Fruit!”

As Jia Yan softly landed outside the cave, Souwu’s voice could be heard from within.

His Compound Eyes flashed with a keen gleam.

Then, making as little noise as possible, he slowly entered the cave.

The cave was not large, just spacious enough to accommodate Jia Yan’s entry.

And inside this space, a monster that was clearly undergoing emotional instability, was dancing and gesticulating wildly.

Souwu seemed to have fallen back into a moment of senility and emotional instability. Although he had managed to control himself to the utmost previously, he now thought himself safe and, hence, relapsed.

”At least you didn’t lie to me about this...” Mosquito slowly approached the other, his forelimbs gently glowing with a brilliant azure light!

”Ha ha, I’m about to become a Stellar level Strong One. My power will certainly echo throughout the entire Mercenary Association, and I will surely become one of the top brass. Those old fools who looked down on me, you all go die! No, wrong, they’re already dead, killed by me. No, it’s not me who killed them, they all brought it upon themselves, they deserved to die! Ha ha...”

Souwu’s speech was a jumbled mess, and Jia Yan could even feel that after this bout of mental disruption, the other probably didn’t even have the time to use his Promotion technique, because his Life Force had long been exhausted, and now he was merely gasping for his last breaths.

Sigh...

A gentle sigh sounded softly from behind Souwu.

The expression of laughter on Souwu’s face gradually froze. His frenzied demeanor quickly returning to normal.

However, before his expression fully recovered...

A light sound of piercing rang out sharply from behind!

Pfff!!

It sounded as if fabric was being torn, letting out a faint, crisp noise.

”Ugh!”

Souwu stared at the gaping wound that had suddenly appeared in his abdomen, from which a foot, shining with that same brilliant azure light, had pierced his body like cutting vegetables, creating a large hole.

A monster who had been cunning all its life, a speed-type monster, had, at this moment, been fatally wounded without any resistance or defense by an enemy who came from behind.

”You...”

Souwu turned his head with difficulty, looking back at Big Mosquito while blood of a strange color oozed from his mouth.

”Souwu, you’re just too old, really. You are too old...” Jia Yan said from behind him, slowly shaking his head.

”Spurt!” Souwu coughed out a mouthful of blood, his expression tinged with a bitter smile.

Indeed, where was he not aware that he was simply too old, that even now, having acquired that great person’s treasure, he had almost no chance of success. His previous power, everything he had, was just a facade maintained by a former Respected level monster.

Everything was just the final struggle of a man in his twilight years.

”Hehe, so what if I’m old? At least in my final moments, I had a wonderful dream. Such a beautiful dream, a lovely dream...”

Souwu looked back at Jia Yan behind him as if he had many words to say, even harboring a faint desire to impart the lessons of the Strong Ones to this incredibly young man whose life path would surely not be the same as his. But at this moment, his Life Force was mercilessly fading away quickly.

He could no longer speak, and his gaze did not carry too much hatred towards Jia Yan, because he knew that even without Jia Yan’s attack, his life might not last much longer.

In the end, it was just the last struggle of an old man.

Futile, yet without effect. Only a sorrowful ending could be welcomed.

Jia Yan watched the other’s body fall, his eyes filled with an indescribable expression, unsure if it was relief or sorrow.

Sometimes, killing an opponent who may or may not be an enemy brings a unique psychological gain.

And the power Jia Yan used to strike the other was truly insubstantial, the injuries inflicted should not have been unbearable for a Starry Sky Sovereign.

But Souwu had fallen to such a simple attack!

He clearly had countless contingencies, and had he unleashed his strength, maybe not just Jia Yan, but even those Respected level Three-headed Monsters would have been surprised.

But he still fell at the hands of Jia Yan.

There was only one reason, Souwu was too old!

It was the tragedy of a strong individual and also the sorrow of each and every aging figure. For a Strong One, dying at their proudest moment is like the Universe wielding some mysterious will to mock them.

Through Souwu’s final gaze, Jia Yan only saw the weakness of a life. In the vast and unparalleled Star Domain, even if they could traverse it freely, they still could not resist the power of time, and ultimately, they would fall victim to the end that is old age and death.

Thump!

Souwu finally fell...

”Ah, fare thee well, old friend,” Jia Yan said meaningfully to the opponent who had completely lost the breath of life at this moment.
