Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5039 Seraphic Azure Tree

Davis turned to gaze at the Azure Tree Realm Master.

She still had the same outfit, a robe shaded with verdant green and azure, its flowing fabric etched with delicate patterns of leaves and vines. It was unknown if they were just embroidery or a part of her body. Further outside, the edges of her robe shimmered with faint golden threads.

Her hair cascaded in long, silky waves of deep forest green, streaked with vibrant streaks of azure that glimmered faintly. Her hair was crowned as though it were intertwined branches, adorned with tiny gemstones that sparkled like the stars.

Her face was veiled, but her expression was serene and timeless, with a gentle yet commanding presence. She had almond-shaped eyes the color of ancient jade, glowing softly with a natural luminescence. Her skin was smooth, with a faint greenish undertone, letting one know that she wasnʼt human.

But different than before, she possessed six azure wings. They were translucent and appeared more like fairy wings than feathered or scaled wings.

Davis had been extremely confused.

How can a tree possess wings!?

But after he asked Tia and Myria, they let him know that the Seraphic Azure Tree does not need to root itself on the earth. For it, the air, the wind, and encompassing skies were its source of energy, so it could fly anywhere it wanted to and only needed a small downtime to cling to the earth.

It was one of the top three fastest trees when it came to Tree Lifeforms.

This made Davis speechless.

However, they also told him that a Seraphic Azure Tree only possessed four wings.

Clearly, the Azure Tree Realm Master was different after she entered the Exalt Stage. If he wasnʼt wrong, she became an entity comparable to an Alpha Exalt. This change was most likely brought about by the diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill that she had taken. If it wasnʼt for this, he wouldʼve denied her entry even if she wanted to volunteer to help out the Davis Family.

”Thank you for trusting me enough to bring me here, Divine Emperor of Death.”

Sensing his gaze, the Azure Tree Realm Master said gently, her voice eliciting a sense of tranquility in everyone.

Davis couldnʼt help but smile, ”The pleasure is mine. Azure Tree Realm Masterʼs cultivation has reached Level Four Alpha Exalt Stage. The fact that you came up to help us in this endeavor is more than enough to make me think that we werenʼt wrong when we chose to ally with you.”

The Azure Tree Realm Master gently nodded.

If she werenʼt at this level, she wouldnʼt have dared to step forward either. She said softly, ”If something happens to me during this expedition, please support Elmaʼs cultivation. She is our promising sapling who has achieved the same six-winged Seraphic Azure Tree mutation and is poised to become an Alpha Exalt like me. As an Azure Tree, we cultivate fast, but as a Seraphic Azure Tree, we cultivate even more faster. All the energy I stored from the Azure Tree Lower Realmʼs Realm Core was used up for me to reach this level quickly, so Elma wouldnʼt be as fast as I am, but still, I hope that I can entrust her to your family.”

”Azure Tree Realm Master, thereʼs no need to mention this matter. I wonʼt let you die to the best of my ability, but indeed, things might not proceed as planned, so even if something were to happen, we have decided to designate Elma to become an honorary member of our Davis Family. Her cultivation until she reaches the peak of the Alpha Exalt Stage will be taken care of by us.”

The Azure Tree Realm Master paused before she bowed her head and cupped her hands.

”Many thanks, Divine Emperor of Death.”

Davis nodded.

However, he was inwardly in awe.

This person had been living for who knows how long.

He wondered if she was somewhere between a few million years old and nine hundred million years old, since she had been the Realm Master of the Azure Tree Lower Realm since its formation after the last Azure Tree Lower Realmʼs destruction.

A Lower Realmʼs lifespan is about a billion years. He had heard that the Azure Tree Realm Master would leave only when their duty of taking care of the Lower Realm ends after the realmʼs destruction, so there could be as many as thirty Azure Tree Realm Masters since the time the humans conquered this galaxy.

The Azure Tree Realm Master before him was the last Azure Tree Realm Master.

Although a young Azure Tree Realm Master was left behind, it was unknown if the higher-ups of the human galaxy would take back the Azure Tree Lower Realm due to their betrayal. After all, they joined with a Divergent power. The consequences of that were steep, and this expedition will plunge her power into chaos since her betrayal could be revealed.

Davis could only lament. He felt sorry for her, but this was what the Azure Tree Realm Master decided after noticing that her race was on the brink of extinction.

Nonetheless, Davis knew this person who had lived for hundreds of millions of years, had stored a lot of energy in her reserve seed space.

For the Azure Trees, there was something known as the reserve seed space.

It allowed them to store a hundred times the energy and even compress it to make it denser. Hence, they were already capable of fighting for a longer period of time while being uprooted, but as a Seraphic Azure Tree, this reserve seed held even greater capacity.

At first, Davis wondered where they were going to store all the energy they would steal or divert from the Ethereal Lumina Tree. He wanted to depend on Epsila, but even she couldnʼt store an extreme amount of energy, so the Azure Tree Realm Masterʼs help was a heavensend- not that the heavens were going to help them.

Nonetheless, it was because of the reserve seed space and the pure energy collected from the Realm Core that the Azure Tree Realm Master quickly became a Level Four Alpha Exalt!

Right now, her reserve seed space was empty, but they were now going to refill it from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

But the problem was- everyone knew with the heaven and earth thinning out, those who didnʼt want to leave or couldnʼt leave wouldʼve all gathered near the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

According to their intelligence, it had been a prohibited area, but right now, it seemed like tens of cities had been propped up around it.

Davis was sure they would certainly encounter many Peak Exalts there, but he didnʼt care. No, it wasnʼt that he didnʼt care but he was looking forward to it.

Why? Because he was precisely in need of free labor at this point to keep many foes at bay.

The first mission objective was to gain a huge amount of energy from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

Their second mission objective was to gain corpses… a lot of corpses.

His Grim Deathʼs Awakening Technique was waiting to be unleashed en masse.
