Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5018  Desolate Air Reaches The Continent

Davis felt he had a good time so far.

As soon as he came home, he was hit with many problems, the foremost being Natalyaʼs disappearance, bordering on suspended animation or concealed reanimation since she had probably died but was brought back by the heavens because of the challenge caused by accidentally initiating the Heavenly Restriction Pact.

But the death was never established, so she hadnʼt died at all.

Davis felt this was also the power of twilight.

This also made him understand how Realm Master Malzor Hexadra seemed to have gotten unscathed.

He very much wanted to learn Twilight Laws since he was also capable of using Light Laws and Darkness Laws together. To that end, he was planning on visiting Fairy Qiyra Darkstar to take lessons. However, he was well aware that he had no time since his schedule was already packed full, even if it were not for his wives.

He had so many things he wanted to do.

Catching up on Empyrean Grade Alchemy.

Catching up on Empyrean Grade Forging.

Catching up on Empyrean Grade Inscription Arts, Rune Arts, Formation Arts, Spirit Formation Arts, and many other arts.

His prowess had reached the Exalt Stage, but his knowledge was lacking, only having time for survival if it were not spent on his wives. If he didnʼt keep up with his studies, then he would be like an illiterate in front of his children, who had already made their way up to become Empyreans and have learned Empyrean Grade Arts of some occupation.

So after he cleared the problems that hit his face, he imagined he would have a lot of free time to himself, which he could use evenly between his wives and studies.

Yet now, an apocalyptic scenario of his own making was descending, making it quite ironic to him.

Seeing Davis go silent as he appeared to be pondering over something, Panqa and Lanqua became quiet. They distanced themselves from him since the casual stroll suddenly seemed to change to one of official business.

Zenova didnʼt disturb him for half a minute before opening her mouth.

”The Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm is the most affected. The heaven and earth energy there can no longer support Primarchs, and the situation is quickly deteriorating as everyone now engages in plunder of Transcendent Crystal Mines despite the ban. Whoever stashes more crystal cores will end up surviving in the long run, so even the semblance of peace in this lawless realm is utterly shattered. The situation is not much different in the Seven-Colored Phoenix Upper Realm, Beast Autarch Upper Realm, and Saffron Harmony Upper Realm. The Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm and Sacred Tiger Upper Realm seemed to somewhat keep the situation under control, Primarchs still able to sustain their energy, but it wonʼt last after a month.”

”But now, the Thundering Serenity Upper Realm, Radiant Blossom Upper Realm, Emperor Cobra Upper Realm, and Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm are getting affected. With the desolate air having spread this far, our Golden Radiance Continent, floating near the Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm, is also starting to be affected.”

”When we arrived, this continent had few natural resources, and heaven and earth energy was already thin, only enough to support Empyreans. With our efforts, we improved it to be able to support Exalts, the change slowly taking shape, but now with the invasion of the desolate air, all our efforts have ended up in vain.”

”Itʼs not for vain.” Davis shook his hand, ”Itʼs just desolate air. Iʼll come up with a way to deal with it sooner or later.”

”…!?” Panqa and Lanqua were stunned.

Zenova raised her brows, ”Thereʼs no way to change the Desolate Era until the era shifts and the desolate air disappears by itself.”

”No, when the Desolate Era appears, the distance between traversable Realm Pathways increases a lot. Did that happen?”

Zenova thought for a moment before shaking her head.

”I donʼt think so. There have been no reports of Realm Pathways extending. Thereʼs only news of many people leaving the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm in order to find refuge elsewhere, all of them heading northwest in an attempt to escape the realms covered by your tribulation.”

Davis nodded as though he expected this outcome, ”So itʼs not a change in the natural formation of the realms, and this change was caused by the heavens trying to eliminate me, so I believe it can be changed. As long as I get sent out of this universe or get sealed, I believe the issue will be quickly fixed.”

He said seriously, leaving the ladies speechless.

Then his lips curled teasingly, ”Thatʼs one way Heavenʼs Warriors are trying to reverse the Desolate Era, but how could I let that happen? Iʼll look for my own way to reverse this bad air that the skies farted out of nowhere.”

”Hehe~” Panqa couldnʼt help but giggle.

Lanqua smilingly pondered with her shrewd eyes, ”If we can reverse the Desolate Era, does that mean the Divine Emperor of Death becomes the savior of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy?”

This time, Davis was stunned.

Savior of the galaxy? Which idiot would dare to give him that title?

The Celestial Transcendent would be honest and sincere, but he wonʼt be that stupid! That would push the entire galaxy into dire straits!

However, Davis felt amused.

He wanted to see what kind of expressions these big shots would make if he were to save the Upper Realms from going bankrupt in natural resources.

Actually, he had already had a preliminary idea of how to reverse this, but he didnʼt know if it would succeed until he tried it out. He needed the help of two people in addition to his Enigmatic Heart Laws, but he felt that his own power was lacking at the moment.

He felt that if his method worked, the chances of succeeding could increase if he was nearer to the layer limit!

Just as he was about to explain his idea eagerly, Zenovaʼs gaze flickered crimson.

”Alright, letʼs not talk about it since these issues are above us at the moment. For now, our Emperor has a lot of desk work to do.”

Davis saw that Zenova was cautious, but at the end of her sentence, his expression darkened.

He turned around and ran away.

”…”

Zenova, Panqa, and Lanqua were dumbfounded.

Zenova suddenly felt bad. She had only wanted to make him sign the Shadow Wraith Legion establishment form since it required his explicit approval…

They watched his figure quickly disappear after he crossed a mountain, leaving them speechless.

This was his home and his territory. There was no need to run like that, right? Who was going to pressure him?

Davis really didnʼt want to do paperwork! His time was limited.

He quickly sent his soul body to grab the black-white stone from Rokushi Mirai before resorting to making a Verdant Vitalis Avatar Technique.

But this time, he wasnʼt ambitious enough to create an avatar with the Blood Tempest Physique since he knew it was going to fail. He felt like he shouldʼve done this before dual cultivating with Aila, but who couldʼve expected what was meant to be a three-day affair would extend to four weeks!?

Although he thoroughly enjoyed his time and didnʼt regret it one bit, he felt like it was unbecoming of a family head. No matter what, he shouldʼve been more efficient with his time usage.

If many supreme geniuses heard his thoughts, they would split blood.

This bastard had just broken into the Empyrean Stage six weeks ago and already reached Level Three Empyrean Stage. Even for supreme geniuses like them, increasing a level would take months, even with many resources, since their prowess was already high, but for a person like the Divine Emperor of Death, whose prowess was already at the Mid Exalt Stage, his thoughts were ridiculous!

”Iʼm back.”

Panqa and Lanqua reached the main mansion along with Zenova since they needed to announce Panqaʼs pregnancy, but Davis suddenly appeared, his back drenched in sweat.

He grabbed Panqaʼs hand and walked her inside, stunning her for a bit before her lips widened with glee.

Meanwhile, the Verdant Vitalis Avatar quickly entered seclusion in the Imperial Library with a cloud of tomes, scrolls, and other informational jade slips.

Myria and Lereza blinked, wondering if they had just seen Davis rush past them without greeting them, but they got back to their work, trying to find something that could help repair the Karmic Destiny Spindle.
