I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 996, Overwhelming

Su Bai prepared a large pile of things and placed them on the table. That’s right, he was preparing to research and develop new Shaman Bone Tablets.

He had just obtained two types of Skills, and both of these Skills were very useful for the development of the Tribe.

If he could transfer these two Skills to Shaman Bone Tablets, this would save him a lot of trouble.

For instance, testing whether what slaves said and what people from other Tribes said was true, with Shaman Bone Tablets, he would not need to personally test those speaking.

He could directly have members of the Tribe take the Lie Detection Shaman Bone Tablet to test, which would greatly increase work efficiency.

The Contract Shaman Bone Tablet was also excellent. Using this type of Shaman Bone Tablet directly to replace contracts for signing would mean obtaining employees who were one hundred percent loyal and would never betray. Who wouldn’t want that?

“There are no records of creating new Shaman Bone Tablets in my memory. It seems I’ll have to slowly explore again.” Su Bai frowned.

Previously, when making such Shaman Bone Tablets, all of them had documented materials, so creating them was not particularly difficult.

He just needed to gather the required materials, then experiment with quantities and force.

But the Skills given by the System now were more difficult. Without any documentation, he could only constantly trial and error.

Ferocious Beast Bones were very precious, so they could not withstand large amounts of trial and error.

Of course, it was not that the Flame Dragon Tribe was particularly lacking in Ferocious Beast Bones, just that if there was trial and error, it would certainly require large quantities of them.

And Su Bai still had many types of Skill Shaman Bone Tablets to make, so he still needed to keep some. At least a portion for making the usual Shaman Bone Tablets.

“If the existing materials can create them, it won’t be particularly difficult, but if existing materials can’t create them, it will be quite troublesome…” Su Bai looked at the dozens of materials before him, his fingers continuously tapping the table in thought.

Just these dozens of materials alone, to arrange and create useful Shaman Bone Tablets would take a massive amount of time.

Not to mention those materials in the plan, perhaps the time required would be even longer. He might not be able to work out a single useful Shaman Bone Tablet even in a week.

Previously when making the Curing Skill Shaman Bone Tablet, the time spent was not much.

On the contrary, making the Taming Shaman Bone Tablet and Growth Acceleration Skill Shaman Bone Tablet took longer. Moreover, some materials for these Shaman Bone Tablets had not existed before. They were only gathered after many experiments.

“The materials for each type of Shaman Bone Tablet are all different. The previous material mixes can be ruled out.” Su Bai muttered to himself.

Because no two Shaman Bone Tablets had identical production materials. The materials for each type of Shaman Bone Tablet were all different.

This meant the materials needed for each type of Shaman Bone Tablet had to be found anew. If he wanted to create new Shaman Bone Tablets, he had to start over with trial and error.

“Starting from scratch at once is indeed a bit overwhelming.” Su Bai took a large gulp of tea.

Just as he was preparing to experiment, Yu Ying stepped out with a soft, adorable face full of smiles.

Yu Ying was also holding a tray with a wide-mouthed plate on it. On it were spicy strips.

The bright red colour was very eye-catching, and there were quite a few chilli seeds and cumin grains on top, looking quite authentic.

“Shaman, I’ve already finished, but there are several flavours. Since I don’t know what kind of flavour the Shaman ate before, I made many varieties all at once.” Yu Ying placed the tray on the table and smoothly poured a cup of milk tea that had been cooled in advance.

Yu Ying knew eating food with chillies would be spicy, so she had specially prepared cooled milk tea in advance.

“So fast? I thought you’d need to continue for a while longer.” Su Bai blinked his black eyes.

He looked at the spicy strips on the plate. They indeed looked quite authentic.

“Shaman, try them. If it’s not the flavour the Shaman likes, I’ll make more.” Yu Ying expectantly swayed her fox tail.

Su Bai picked up a piece of spicy strip first and took a small bite, discovering the flavour was indeed similar, except it was not as fragrant.

The texture when eating was the same, the spicy sensation was also the same. The only thing lacking was the fragrance.

Although these spicy strips had white sugar and cumin added, and tasted sweet and spicy, they lacked the unique fragrance of spicy strips.

However, Su Bai was already very satisfied. The flavour was still great.

The original fragrance of spicy strips could not just be created as he desired. Most of it was produced by adding additives.

Or else it was other seasonings. The Tribe currently did not have too many seasonings yet. For instance, there was no sesame oil.

“Shaman, how’s the flavour? Is it okay?” Yu Ying looked at him with an expectant expression.

To be honest, Yu Ying was a bit nervous, her pink fox tail constantly swaying back and forth.

“It is delicious. This is a flavour I like. I’m very impressed, Xiao Yu.” Su Bai praised indulgently.

As a person, one should not demand too much. In this primitive era, being able to make spicy strips that were fifty percent similar should be satisfying enough.

Later, when there were more seasonings, they could slowly adjust the recipe.

“That’s wonderful. I thought the flavour wasn’t right.” Yu Ying visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

After getting a positive answer, Yu Ying picked up a piece of spicy strip to try.

After tasting the first bite, she nodded repeatedly with satisfaction, feeling this flavour was truly great.

“Shaman, this thing called spicy strips is so chewy when eating, and there’s a fragrant sensation inside.” Yu Ying said happily.

“Do you think the method to produce it is simple? Will it take spending a large amount of time to make this?” Su Bai asked.

He felt this was indeed great as a small snack, and perhaps they could even mass produce it to take to the Central Market for people to exchange.

“It’s a bit difficult when first researching it, but once I know how to do it, it’s not difficult at all.” Yu Ying explained.

“Then find more people to learn, and then mass produce some.” Su Bai instructed.

He believed that once spicy strips were made, they would definitely attract many people. What needed to be done now was product diversity.

Since it was called the Central Market, the goods in the Central Market must be rich and varied. They could not always have just those same few items for such a long time.

“Then I’ll first teach the maids to make these, and have them make some when they’re free.” Yu Ying’s clear voice sounded.

“Good.” Su Bai took another bite of the spicy strip.

“Shaman, how long can spicy strips be stored?” Yu Ying asked.

“If preserved properly, storing them for about ten days is not a problem. Next time, make sure to seal and preserve them well.” Su Bai explained.

Yu Ying nodded thoughtfully, also picking up another spicy strip and taking a bite.

Yu Ying quite liked eating spicy things, especially this type of texture that was chewy when eaten.
