I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 960, Not Opposing Them Was Correct

Time passed minute by minute. Ah Liv and the others took five days to reach the Flame Dragon Tribe.

At the same time, the people from the Earth Tiger Tribe had also arrived.

Currently, everyone was waiting at the entrance of the Flame Dragon Tribe. As long as they passed the inspection, they could enter.

“We’ve finally reached the Flame Dragon Tribe.” Ah Liv breathed a sigh of relief.

Ever since she had relinquished leadership, the team’s advance speed had indeed increased considerably.

Of course, she was still guiding the way. After all, only she was relatively familiar with the route to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

There was no resentment whatsoever in her heart. As long as everyone could safely reach the Flame Dragon Tribe, other things did not matter.

“I was quite worried you would mind during the journey. I never expected you would endure it all.” Lu Yin said with relief.

She had been worried several times that the other party would become angry or such. After all, Team Leader was truly an excellent position.

“You worry too much. I just wanted to quickly resolve this matter. Opposing the Flame Dragon Tribe? We can’t afford to do that.” Ah Liv pursed her lips.

“Is the Flame Dragon Tribe truly that formidable? Why must we be so wary? You should know they only recently rose up.” Lu Yin asked, puzzled.

The young woman was somewhat confused, constantly standing on tiptoe looking at the long queue ahead.

There were truly too many people at the Flame Dragon Tribe entrance, all queuing and waiting to be inspected before entering.

“You’ll know once you enter. You also know this Tribe only recently rose up, but have you thought about what enables them to develop so well?” Ah Liv asked in return.

The young woman was not foolish. Moreover, she had witnessed many things about the Flame Dragon Tribe. Some matters could still be deduced.

“You’re right. They’re already screening personnel at the entrance and have the capital to forbid everyone from bringing weapons inside. It seems they have some confidence.” Lu Yin instantly understood as well.

Any Medium Tribe desperately needed other Tribes to come. They would not prevent them from bringing in weapons. As long as other Tribes came to trade, that was fine to them.

The Flame Dragon Tribe was not like this. If outsiders wanted to enter, they absolutely had to leave their weapons behind. This fully proved they had confidence. Otherwise, the other party would start worrying about how they could not trade at the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“We’re not unfamiliar with the Black Snake Tribe, but the Flame Dragon Tribe quickly drove them away. No, directly annihilated them. One can imagine how powerful their strength is.” Ah Liv continued analysing.

When she was not yet a Totem Warrior, she had heard about the Black Snake Tribe. At that time, they had even wanted to attack the Green Vine Tribe.

However, the Green Vine Tribe was not that weak, so the Black Snake Tribe’s plan failed. But the Green Vine Tribe’s losses were also rather severe.

Ah Liv had always kept this matter in her heart, thinking that after becoming a Totem Warrior, she would make the Black Snake Tribe regret it.

However, just before she had awakened as a Totem Warrior, the Black Snake Tribe had already been annihilated by the Flame Dragon Tribe.

She had also heard about the Flame Dragon Tribe’s situation at that time. Unable to withstand the Black Snake Tribe’s attacks, their Tribe had been directly dismantled. The remaining people had kept hiding.

Yet now, not long after these events occurred, everything was different. The Flame Dragon Tribe seemed to have risen up from the ashes.

They directly killed their way back to their Ancestral Land and annihilated the Black Snake Tribe in one stroke, reclaiming the territory that belonged to them. This was astonishing.

“En. We’d better be careful. Right now, no one knows the Flame Dragon Tribe’s true strength, but being careful never hurts.” Lu Yin also nodded.

“Why must we still queue for inspection?” Zhi Wu looked very impatient.

This was his first time coming to the Flame Dragon Tribe. He was very displeased with the Flame Dragon Tribe’s approach.

“I advise you to follow what they say. Don’t let your arrogance cause this mission to fail. If it’s because of you, even dying a hundred times wouldn’t be enough to make up for our Tribe’s losses.” Ah Liv knew that if she did not admonish him, trouble would very likely arise. Matters had already developed to this point. She did not want any more mishaps to occur.

“Don’t you think speaking to me like this is very inappropriate?” Zhi Wu instantly redirected his temper towards Ah Liv. After all, he was now the Team Leader, the Boss. Speaking to him like this was very disrespectful.

He had originally found the Chieftain’s and Shaman’s children to be very disagreeable, thinking they were born superior to others.

Of course, this was when they were not Warriors. If the Chieftain’s and Shaman’s children became Warriors, everyone was equal.

This was why he now dared to speak to Ah Liv like this. According to their position, he was one rank higher than the other party.

“There’s nothing inappropriate. I’m just warning you of the consequences. If you don’t want the mission to fail and be punished.” Ah Liv did not take the other party’s vicious words to heart at all, continuing to instruct/ “Once the mission fails, the two Tribes will go to war. You know how serious the consequences will be then.”

She would not be intimidated in the slightest. Rather, she was quite calm, because she simply did not regard these Warriors highly.

They did not know how to improve themselves at all, only knew how to blindly blame others for not giving opportunities and such. With their current state, no matter how many opportunities they had, they could not grasp them.

“*Hmph!* I won’t quibble with you for now.” Zhi Wu naturally knew the consequences.

Unable to punish the other party, he could only let the matter drop no matter how angry he currently was.

Because he knew that if this mission failed, his life would definitely not be preserved. Thinking about it, he decided to forget it.

“What’s important now is delivering the items to the Flame Dragon Tribe, then quickly leaving. We must get back before the rainy season arrives.” Ah Liv continued.

“Who doesn’t know this?” Zhi Wu was still very concerned about face.

Over an hour later, people from both Tribes had already entered the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Because they were bringing the reparations to the Flame Dragon Tribe, there were dedicated people receiving them. Namely, Ye Jiu.

The wolf-eared young woman had already brought Warriors waiting at the Tribe entrance. Those Warriors were divided into two groups. One group led slaves down for inspection. The other group counted the dried meat, Animal Hide and Shaman Bone Tablets. Only after these items were all counted clearly would people be released.

Ci was currently very nervous, not knowing how Yini was doing now. From the last time she left until now returning, several days had already passed.

Her greatest worry was that Yini would not be treated well, or might even have been mistreated. Thinking of this, her heart felt very uncomfortable.

She constantly stood on tiptoe looking into the distance, trying to see if she could find Yini’s figure.

“By the way, I need to tell you all. Don’t imagine you can pass off inferior goods as quality ones. If we discover whatever you are delivering is just for show, it will likewise lead to war between our two Tribes.”

Ye Jiu clasped her hands behind her back, continuing seriously. “Apart from your two Tribes, the other Tribes were unwilling to compensate. They have already been completely annihilated by us.”

Ye Jiu wanted everyone to understand that opposing the Flame Dragon Tribe was not a wise choice.

“…”

The hearts of the Green Vine Tribe and Earth Tiger Tribe people simultaneously tightened, feeling grateful that their respective Tribes had not acted recklessly.

At the same time, they marvelled at the Flame Dragon Tribe’s swift and decisive attitude of doing what they said. In their hearts, they realised that not opposing them had been the best decision they could make.
