I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 992, Thank Totem for That!

Su Bai held an umbrella as he walked along the main road, beginning his inspection of the Tribe’s situation.

He had drawn a rather decent reward this morning, which was three coconut trees.

Coconut trees were a decent reward. One had to understand that coconut trees would need at least five years to grow and mature.

Currently, there were no coconut trees in the primitive forest. As for whether they existed by the seaside, that was unknown.

Su Bai had not thought about these things at the time, but now that he had them, it was good. As long as he used the Growth Acceleration Shaman Technique a few times, he would be able to drink coconut water in a month.

When the time comes, eating coconut chicken would also be absolutely delightful. Recently, he had indeed been rather nostalgic for modern food.

“Shaman, the coconut trees have already been planted. We’ll be able to drink coconut water very soon.” Sha Lan’s clear voice rang out.

Sha Lan had heard the explanation about coconut trees at the Yong’an Building and had begun to look forward to it.

“Good, let’s go have a look at the outer region.” Su Bai smiled slightly.

He had been observing the middle area of the Tribe for quite a long time but had not visited the outer region.

“Yes.” Sha Lan nodded. She was also holding an umbrella, one that Su Bai had drawn from the System.

It was a water-blue umbrella. Such a vibrant umbrella immediately attracted many people’s attention when it was brought out. It was simply too beautiful, and moreover, this colour did not exist in the Tribe. Naturally, it drew quite a bit of notice when brought out.

“Look quickly, the umbrella that Sha Lan is holding looks so good.” Someone in the Tribe said.

“I’m so envious. Being a Shaman Priestess allows her to have such beautiful things. I want to be a Shaman Priestess too…” A girl said enviously.

“You’re overthinking it. Just look at yourself. Sha Lan is so pretty, but we’re not good-looking.” Another girl said.

“The Shaman’s umbrella also looks nice. Although it’s black, holding it suits the Shaman very well.” Another person said.

People in the Tribe continuously cast envious looks, with everyone’s eyes fixed on Su Bai and the others.

“Shaman, so many people are looking at you.” Yan Hua felt somewhat uncomfortable.

The umbrella that Yan Hua held was bright red, also very eye-catching. The colour suited her enthusiastic and lively personality perfectly.

“They’re looking at you the same way. If you don’t believe me, have a look.” Su Bai smiled faintly.

He could understand why they were so attention-grabbing. Part of the reason was these umbrellas.

The System had drawn several umbrellas all at once, and they came out over two consecutive days, which left Su Bai rather speechless.

The Flame Dragon Tribe was also capable of making umbrellas, but since these had been drawn, they might as well use them.

“There are too many people. I’m not quite used to it all at once.” Yan Hua lowered her umbrella, trying to cover her face as much as possible.

“Aren’t Warriors always being watched? Wasn’t it like this before? Why are you not used to it now?” Su Bai asked gently.

“Shaman, this is different. Before it was because of honour, but… but this is…” Yan Hua did not dare to speak.

She felt this kind of attention was strange, like that shy feeling a girl gets.

After all, as a pretty girl, being watched by so many people all at once, and this attention being due to beautiful things, naturally made her somewhat afraid to look.

“Just relax. More and more people will be watching you in the future, so you need to get used to it in advance.” Su Bai said lightly.

He thought about how the Tribe would get better and better in the future, and the things the System drew would also become increasingly good. For example, the cosmetics and beautiful clothes from before, these would all be given to the girls.

“Yes, Shaman.” Yan Hua’s voice became rarely soft.

“Hehe…” Sha Lan could not help but laugh, thinking Yan Hua was really too cute.

She was actually already used to it. After all, as a Shaman Priestess, there were many things to do. She had also met quite a few people and been discussed by many, so Sha Lan had long since become accustomed to it.

“I’m a little scared too.” Yu Ying also pressed her umbrella downward.

Although Yu Ying had been teaching all along, she still felt somewhat uncomfortable seeing many people staring and discussing. After all, before she had been stared at by children, but now she was being stared at and discussed by adults.

Even the lively Yan Hua felt embarrassed, let alone Yu Ying, whose personality was already very shy.

“Hahahaha… Don’t worry, everyone likes you all, so there’s no need to be afraid. You’ll need to get used to it in the future.” Su Bai slowed his pace and continued, “There will be plenty of opportunities to show your faces in the future. Getting used to it early is good.”

“Understood.” Yu Ying still slowly lowered her head.

An hour later, Su Bai and the others slowly walked to the Tribe’s outer region.

Clearly, there was a huge difference between here and the inner region of the Tribe. The prosperity here could not be compared with the Tribe’s inner region.

This place was obviously much more desolate, because there were only wooden houses here. Compared to cement houses, they were truly far inferior.

Of course, wooden houses were already quite luxurious for other Tribes, but for the Flame Dragon Tribe, they were no longer important.

They were even classified as inferior dwelling. Now, only those slaves lived in them.

“Next year, this area will also need to be renovated. The current situation here won’t do.” Su Bai frowned.

He felt this place still didn’t conform to his modern city plans. Renovation was urgently needed.

There was also quite a bit of water being collected here, which was very different from the inner region of the Tribe.

There was no standing water in the middle of the Tribe because the drainage system was very good, making it look tidy and clean.

“Yes, it doesn’t look very good here. The environment here is terrible.” Sha Lan said.

Sha Lan had previously felt it was nothing, even thinking it was quite normal, but now looking at it, she felt it was abnormal.

It was probably because she had become accustomed to living in cement houses and staying in the middle of the Tribe. Suddenly seeing this scene in the Tribe’s outer region, she felt it was abnormal.

“When the rainy season ends, arrange for people to install the drainage system and repair the roads.” Su Bai said seriously.

Building houses required a large workforce. When there were not that many people available, installing the drainage system and cement roads first was more important.

“Understood. I’ll prioritise arranging to handle this area first.” Sha Lan nodded.

Sha Lan had already memorised it. Her memory was basically perfect, so she did not need a notebook at all.

“What feedback do the people living here have about this area?” Su Bai asked.

Sha Lan swayed her cat tail and said, “Shaman, rest assured. Everyone really likes it here. They’re all very grateful to the Shaman. Absolutely no one dislikes it.”

Sha Lan could often hear people here praising the Flame Dragon Tribe and praising Su Bai. This was something she heard every day.

Moreover, her memory was so good. With people saying it every day, it would be difficult not to remember it.

But it was indeed so. Originally, those people were all slaves. Having a Teepee would have been good enough, and they even had wooden houses? Thank Totem for that indeed!

There really were not any tactless people who would dislike this place.
